Tom was referred by a friend and did not disappoint. Dr. Wood came to our house to do his very difficult job. While he explained everything he was doing he really did give us the space to grieve. I appreciated the ability to have my fur baby as comfortable as possible during his final moments. He was very quick & efficient but did not at all make anything feel rushed. He was great all the way around even sending a sympathy card after our pup passed. Thanks Dr. Wood!

Dr. Wood provides a much needed service when our pets are nearing the end of their life on Earth. He is compassionate and professional. After 18 years with my dear sweet girl, Cali, it was time for me to make that sad phone call. The best part of this heartbreaking experience was that he came to us, Cali didn't have to make a stressful to to the vet. Much thanks to you Dr. Wood and the work you do.

Knowing when it's time for your pet to get their final rest is very stressful. We didn't want him to have to leave the house. 13 yrs. Old sick with Chylothorax for at least 7 years, we always wanted him to feel as comfortable as he could. We found Tom Wood DVM who used hospice with our pets past records to decide it was time. Our fur baby was deteriorating fast. It was a quiet visit and with our fur baby's past records available, it was time. So we feel like it was done with much care and love. We miss him terribly but we know he is not in pain anymore and that he was always was a blessing.

Dr. Wood has our complete trust and gratitude for providing compassionate, knowledgeable and effective care for our cats. His prompt response and services are the best we've ever had. Our beloved pets are able to remain in the comfort of our (their) home for vaccinations, health care and even euthanasia when necessary. 5+ stars!

I was very pleased with the service he offered in my home. However, I paid to have my 15 year old dog cremated and have his ashes returned to us. We didn't hear from the office for about 2 weeks so I decided to give them a call. When I asked when I should receive my dogs remains, I was told that unfortunately Dr. Wood made a mistake and made him a communal cremation. We will not get the remains of our family dog! Thank you for the refund but we are still heartbroken. I thought he would call to personally apologize but not a word from them.

Dr. Wood helped to put to sleep my 14 year old Japanese Chin, who was suffering from so many afflictions. He was incredibly kind, soft spoken, and compassionate through the whole process. Dr. Wood was referred by our vet. He was able to come to our home the very same day. He was very professional and showed compassion! He explained everything that was going to happen to our fur baby. Dr Wood provided a very peaceful passing for our Ozzy, and I can't say enough positive things about his professional yet very compassionate demeanor. Dr. Wood ensured that Ozzy was comfortable during the process, which eased ours hearts immensely.

Dr. Wood is very professional, soft spoken and caring. He came out this Saturday for my cat. Euthanasia is never a great experience but Dr. Wood took his time and explained anything we wanted to know. He asked if we had questions or if we had ever been through this before. He genuinely cares. He even asked if I wanted to bring my other two cats in to smell him to help with their grieving process. He gave the first sedative to “Karma” then waited a sufficient time for it to take effect before giving the euthanasia drug. He charged less than most others and does not get into profiting off cremation. He checked for signs of life then went to his car and got a small body bag to carry him out in which I thought was extremely professional. I do not understand any negative reviews on here. This doctor provides a wonderful service and he deserves ever penny he makes because he went to school a long time to be able to provide this service for us. Maybe because I am a nurse, I expect death and have been with many humans when they died in the hospital I am so grateful that my Karma could leave this world in my bed laying on his his soft blanky. Called Dr. Tom on Friday 2/5/2021. He answered the phone immediately and came to our home in Coinjock, NC, within 1.5 hours and eased our best Beagle boy over the bridge. Excellent service. Thank you!

Dr. Wood was amazing, caring, and understanding in our hour of sadness as we sent our best friend across the rainbow bridge. We had 3 children saying goodbye and Dr. Wood answered every question their little minds could think of to understand what was happening. Could not ask for a better person to help ease her pain.
