The wait time is ridiculous I had an appointment at 9 o’clock waited out there for two hours and still didn’t get seen

My dog hurt himself his right Paw couldn’t move can’t walk at all I waited three hours in the car was told for you in Laugh !! I had to contact them constantly to get an assessment of when we were going to be seen this office needs a new office manager owner new staff communication is absolutely horrible except for the young guy who was a receptionist who was kind enough to least come to my car and communicate but the rest of the staff absolutely not ever go there you will be waiting and you’re mistaken on their reliability and poor service. If you cannot communicate with all the people waiting in their cars either as a scheduled appointment or a fit in or emergency basis please please find another job. I hold the office manager district manager and owner fully responsible for training your staff to work so poorly with customer service. I am an extra practice administrator and I would’ve written up the staff and fired them. The shorthanded Covid is getting kind of old blaming it on that even if you worked with just one doctor one staff member one front you still can communicate properly with everyone. Shame on you

We had to put our 15 year old dog down tonight (Tader) and the staff was amazing. From making the appointment to the actual procedure they were compassionate and I think truly understood what we were going through. Thank you for making this difficult decision a little easier on us.

Everyone took amazing care of my dog and they’re all so friendly and wonderful. The best experience and price wise was great. Couldn’t have had a better experience. They provider was very professional and explained everything nicely and you can tell they all really love their job.

I know that it's frustrating these 'covid' days to try to get in to see a vet. This staff works so hard to accommodate everyone and they deal with so many critical patients every single day. I have 3 babies and we are frequent visitors to this facility. I have been impressed with the care and patience of the staff as well as the doctors in answering all of my questions and alleviating any concerns. It's difficult with how busy they are, but they never fail. Dr. Nunez took the time away from an urgent case just today to address my concerns regarding my French Bulldog. His patience and concern just about had me in tears. I know it is annoying to have to wait for such a long time to get seen but...under the circumstances, I really don't see how it could be any different. So...if you plan on taking your pet to this veterinarian, please have patience. They are working so hard to take care of everyone and they are doing an outstanding job!

My daughter took our 13 year min pin there this morning. She sat in the car for 6 hours with our dog. I understand taking critical 1st but 6 hours of waiting?? She called them after 5 hours of waiting for him to be seen and was told his chart along with another dog's chart had been taken to the back, she was still waiting an hour after that call. She finally left and went to Great Neck, they were taken in immediately there.... I didn't even want to give Strawbridge 1 star but this site made me in order to post!

We are new to Strawbridge d/t our previous vet clinic was closed for renovations. I could not be any happier with my couple visits here. Everyone is nice and welcoming. The vet was very compasionate and actually listened to me and she even suggested allergy medicine when for years I have mentioned maybe starting something for Apollo and our previous vet didn't even consider anything, not even acknowleding my thoughts or conerns that he might have seasonal allergies. So, super happy to make the change over to Strawbridge!

I love this place! Dr. German is truly a blessing. So grateful to find a Vet with genuine bedside manner. The entire staff provides exceptional customer service. They’re always professional and empathetic when my baby gets sick. They’re also really respectful of your time even during emergency appointments. The drive from Norfolk is well worth it!

Have a dog with bad allergies and used to take her here for it. They said a monthly shot would help, and it did for a little bit but i had to come back every month and pay a service for them to see her and give her the shot. Then i go to another vet for her to get spaded and asked if there was something they could do for her skin while she recovered so she doesnt scratch and tear her stitches. They gave me a pill and it does better then the shot ever could! And i dont have to pay a vet visit charge to get more! Dont go to this vet clinic, they try to bleed you dry while not actually helping your dog.

My Standard Schnauzer puppy got into something toxic and was going downhill rapidly..... ???? I walked in Saturday afternoon unannounced without an appointment and they immediately jumped to the rescue to examine him and start the process Ultimately they had to refer me to an emergency hospital but they are rock stars it was incredible service I received from a complete stranger who showed compassion for my poor little puppy on a holiday weekend.

The service was outstanding. You were able to fit us in at 6:30 PM and gave my kitty the best possible care. The whole staff was very caring and thorough. The vet explained everything in detail. I was truly impressed that the staff was not trying to rush since we were still there after closing. Not one time did the staff or vet seem like we were inconveniencing them, even though it was 8:30 PM. I truly appreciate the care my kitty received from everyone there and will recommend Strawbridge Animal Care to everyone.

We had to take our dog here for as an emergency. We ended up having to take her back the next day for more treatment and everyone at Strawbridge Animal Care Clinic was absolutely amazing. They truly went above and beyond for our dog Lilo. Everyone from the doctors to the nurses to the front end staff were absolutely incredible. They all tried to stay positive and they helped to calm us down and reassure us. Sadly Lilo passed away and when we took her in for end-of-life care. All of the nurses that treated Lilo over the last few days were crying the front-end staff was crying. They were all just so very sweet I cannot say enough good things about the clinic. Once we are ready for another dog I will be taking them to Strawbridge Animal Care Clinic for any and all of your new dog's medical needs.

On family vacation, my dog Coco started coughing non stop, and was diagnosed as, Tracheal Collapse, Amanda German, DVM, was great and explained all the detail, also the staff were great and responsive.

Dr German saw my 10 year old Labrador retriever, Molly, this past Saturday on emergency. Molly was going into cardiovascular shock and was very close to dying. Thanks to Dr G, and her quick and brilliant efforts, I am still able to hug my best friend once more. I cannot thank her and the amazing staff at Strawbridge Animal Care enough.

We had only been living in the area for 2 days and our fur baby ripped out a few of her stitches from a recent surgery. Strawbridge was able to get us in fairly quickly considering it was a walk in and they were extremely busy as it was. We were even able to schedule a follow up appointment to have her stitches removed at a later day when they were ready. We will continue to use Strawbridge as long as we live in Norfolk! The staff I interacted with were very personable and talked to and about my baby like she was family and not just a pet. They definitely made an amazing first impression for us!

I was a 1st time client at Strawbridge on Saturday. I have to say how responsive and kind the staff and doctor was. They made sure I fully understood the process of his dental cleaning along with getting his annual wellness appointment taken care of. I am new to the area and feel confidant that I have found a great vet in this area!!!!

So disappointed in my last couple of visits. I give them the benefit of the doubt because of Covid but I think I might switch vets. The last visits i've had I have sat in the car for over 2 hours! I went in yesterday, they took my dog back and called maybe 15 minutes later and told me everything that he needed. They brought a list of things he needed with one price and I was happy with that, she later comes back and says I messed up and didn't put everything on it and it was $100 more and thats before the medicine. It took them over an hour to bring me my dog back, why when his exam was done in 15 minutes? Then they brought him to me and said they will call with payment another 45 minutes went by. They kept calling my husband who was not there and each time he told them to call me. Last call he finally said for the last time call my wife who has been sitting in the car for over 2 hours. They finally came out and I left. You can't go back in the room anymore and now i'm starting to not believe what they tell me because I can't see what they are talking about. Just very disappointed. The staff is nice but I don't think that's enough to for me to keep coming back.

The staff and Vets could not have been any kinder. I have been struggling as to when it was time to put our pup down. He had dementia and it just was hard for me to determine just when to do this. The Vets were very willing to talk to me on the phone whenever I had a question and give me good resources to help. This morning when we brought him in the were so kind and gentle with our Jack. They made a horrible time just a little easier. Thank you

Hi! I recently visited Strawbridge Animal Care following the rescue of my puppy, Rex. Even during a crazy pandemic, the staff was kind, attentive and very informative during the curbside visit for my new puppy. The nurses and doctor walked me through everything, which really meant a lot considering I couldn't physically be in the room with him. I really appreciate the consideration and care you displayed for Rex and I. We will be back soon for his follow-up appointment and I am sure everything will go just as smoothly. Thank you for the new puppy folder with lots of helpful info! It has come in handy already. :) Cheers! I will recommend to friends and family, hands down! -Jen

THE ONLY THING YOU COULD HAVE DONE BETTER IS, SEND A VET TECH TO MY HOUSE TO TAKE CARE OF OUR NEWFOUNDLAND AFTER HER SURGERY! LOL. YA'LL ARE ALL SO NICE. DR. NUNEZ IS THE BEST!

I had initially started coming to this office because of Dr. Gibbs, whom was an amazing and caring vet. Although Dr. Gibbs has since retired, I still wanted to bring my pup to this office to be treated. I could’ve given my experience today 1 star but I didn’t want to exclude the the kindness that I experienced from Dr. Gilfeather. Otherwise, the appointment was a stressful disappointment. I brought my pup in because he has worms. I was given multiple quotes for required treatment, each one different and more expensive than the last. My high energy pup was restless and whining. I could hear staff members having unprofessional conversations outside of the room, one in which was commenting on my “loud dog”. Perhaps my dog was restless and whining because a simple appointment turned into an almost 2hr long ordeal in a tiny room?? I left the appointment feeling like a bad pet owner because I didn’t do everything they recommended for my pup. I simply couldn’t afford everything that they “say” I needed. I left with a printout of all of my pups records knowing that after this experience I will only be returning for the final dosage of meds for my pup’s treatment. . I noticed that the office reaponds to most negative reviews but I never received any sort of communication. .

My first visit with my new puppy went very well. Unfortunately due to CoVid I was unable to go inside with my pup and meet the car givers. The doctor called me and spoke to me about what was done, what to do, what happens next and what a good pup I have. The technicians took loving care of my pup getting her inside and back to me safely as well as delivering the medications and “fun” welcome package. They have since followed up with opportunities to ask questions if necessary. I think we are going to be happy here! Thank you, Jamie and Pepper.

I always recommend Strawbridge. I appreciate how the practice uses the best possible Covid precautions. I trust the vets and staff at Strawbridge.

Dr. Gilfeather has always cared for my Chocolate lab as if he was her own, he has terrible skin allergies and is pretty accident prone. Anyone who mistakes her professional demeanor as anything other than caring is severely mistaken. She is a new veterinarian with a lot of heart, and an open mind. Thank you for always taking care of us.

My fur baby has been going to SAC since I brought her home @ 8 wks. The love & care they shower her with is genuine, professionalism is a 10+ When they had to put my other babies down they were as gutted as I was & helped me through a truly heart wrenching experience. I have & will continue to refer others to SAC for loving professional treatment of their fur babies ????????????
