The people that work there are respectful. Took my Poppy's dog in they listen to what we had to say an it was a good experience

Dr Katz is extremely dismissive and patronizing.

Call them to let them know that my dog was so sick that she was dying. They put me on hold and never came back to the phone. NOW MY DOG IS DEAD

I have been going here well over 20 years, through the change of ownership , when Dr. Pope retired and when Dr. Capps took over. I can tell you this is a very caring place. I have had 4 of my greyhound rescues visit here (along with other dogs). I never doubted the quality of service or the information provided. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I really recommend this clinic. Through the years , and most recently, I have seen it grow, more advanced medical records, more automation, which are all good things that allow them to spend more time focusing and diagnosing issues with your pet. P.S. If you have a larger breed you got to love the new elevator style exam table in the rooms, complete with scale.

We were on our way to emergency vet yesterday afternoon with our 3 year old cat, Smokey. He went limp and was having a very hard time breathing while we were enroute. Bayview Veterinary clinic was the closest vet to where we were. We drove there and ran inside & asked them to help him without even calling first. Dr Capps ran out and took him to the back immediately and stabilized him. She gave him a steroid and did some other stuff & before we even got back home with him, he was breathing better. Dr Capps saved Smokey’s life and we are grateful. She and her staff were professional, friendly and pleasant. I will be switching to Bayview Veterinary for all of my pets needs and I highly recommend them.

Staff is caring. Dr Perry is very direct when taking care of your pet

Convenient for the after hours treatment but there is a long wait time. 5 hour wait then was greeted with slight sarcasm and an astronomical bill just hear they don't know what's wrong but we need to pay for the medicine that you can get from pets smart a whole lot cheaper.

The women at the front desk are RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. Will never take my pets here, terrible customer service.

Eugene, Star and Dan seem to be the same person or friends. Blasting a great buisness and Vet that's not even the Vet they had a appointment or problem with it was Carpenter and Pope / Not Dr Pope who retired from Bayview Veterinary clinic years ago and is now Dr Capps.... pretty disturbing to see this kind of bashing on a buisness that I have been going to for over 10 years. Definitely defamation of their character. Get your review and facts straight!

Dr. Capps is great. She explains everything in terms you can understand. She is friendly and professional. The ladies who work with Dr. Capps are Wonderful. Maria has been a friend for years and Kate is efficient and friendly. They are willing to answer any questions I have. I moved to Chesapeake 3 years ago but I come to Norfolk because I trust these ladies. Thanks ladies you are an awesome Team????????????????

Friendly, caring office,easy to get an appointment and everyone there is great with my dog. He always enjoys the attention and is handled lovingly and gently. The vet is very thorough, explains everything and takes the time to answer questions. When my dog had a minor emergency they saw him right away. Highly recommended.

Called in prescription, had waiting when I arrived. Staff friendly and professional.

Several weeks ago one of my dogs was severely attacked. I got her down to Dr Capps and the staff, she was immediately taken into Surgery. She survived and has been back in for treatments several times since. Any time she was there she was treated with care and what was best for her. All of our questions about home care and treatment were answered thoroughly. What was a horrible incident was made much easier to deal with by their professional attitudes and superior care. Thank You All!!

Absolutely love the people here. They are wonderful with my dog. They take the time with us too. I can not recommend them enough for their kindness and compassion.

This place and the staff are awesome and very caring. My Fur Grand Dog was unfortunately hit by a car, she was rushed to this vet clinic. She didn't make it. But the staff were so caring and attentive. Gave me all the information that I needed to take care of our dog. They did everything for us. This place is on point and the staff are as well. Definitely recommend this Vet Clinic to any pet lovers.

All of the staff has been wonderful and so loving to our dog. They were even able to suggest a treatment for a persistent limp where the only option left with our previous vet was an invasive surgery. By far one of the best vets we have ever been to.

Decently priced and treated my my cats super well. 10/10 for treating my trash goblins like stars.

Wonderful Animal handlers, both Vets & Techs. It's surprising how many people in the business aren't good with animals. They had us in and out in short order, charged reasonably without trying to add to the bill, and made the visit as non traumatic for us (people and pup alike) as could be asked for. †****************** it's two years since I wrote the above, and every word is still true. I count us very lucky to have found a vet that takes such great care of our Very Good Boy.

Ironically, I would settle for less than the best for myself, but never for my puppy girl. That's why I go to doctor Capps at Bayview.

Took our new rescue dalmation for her check up. We have used this vet in the pass and love her and her staff. Always friendly, knowledge and ready to help . Highly Recommen .

First Visit to Practice...They were Amazing folks and answered all Questions. Luther my Hound Dog didn't want to leave...They were Very Aware of safety for Me During Visit... Sat in car to fill out paperwork and was brought in Right on Time, maybe even early... Great Staff Great Location.

Just started coming to this office. Have had good experiences so far! The staff is friendly and willing to help you. Dr. Capps is great! It is a small office, so when they get busy it does back up a bit. It is a little more expensive than other vets I've been too, but its reasonable. And how they treat me and especially how they treat my dog is totally worth it! :) They love on her and give her all the pets, even a treat or 2. They also make me feel comfortable while I'm there, like I have been a long time client whose dog is the favorite. I'd rather support a smaller clinic than a big chain.

Every time I call this place I am put on hold for over 7 or 8 mins. They need more staff.
