We have been taking our 6 month old Ridgeback to Providence Square since we got her, and we have had nothing but a positive experience. Our pup is high energy but the Providence staff always takes the best care of her. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgable about the animals. I'm lucky we found them!

Getting a first time appointment was a breeze! I requested on online and received a call first thing the next morning. I was seen by the end of the week. The entire staff there was very friendly and helpful. 10/10 You should take your fur babies here.

Providence square veterinary is professional, reliable and responsive. I take my two beagles in this veterinary for a while now and haven’t had any issues.

Maybe I’ve been spoiled by having a great vet in my old area, but I wasn’t impressed. They take your pet away from you into the back to check vitals and do the exam, which is a completely new experience for me. I’ve always been included in my pet’s care, and I 100% prefer to be included. Also, I brought in my pup’s previous medical records, which they took to enter into their system, and when I asked for them back, I was informed she had shredded them… I’m sorry, what? Unbelievable all around. One of the girls at the front was very friendly and personable, but everyone else gave the impression they wanted nothing to do with being there. I would rather drive 45 minutes to my old vet with a teething puppy than go back to this practice.

I trust them with my three furry kids. Dr. Bedford is extremely knowledgeable and the staff is top notched.

They have taken care of 15 beautiful dogs of mine through the years. Doctor Bedford is caring and professional. Her nurse Tech is amazing.

Edit: They literally called 30 minutes after I posted this. I was told many times the vet would talk to me and she never did. Someone in the back just kept running back and forth to the phone with what she said. It was very hard to understand and I have no idea what is going on with my cat. I am so disappointed especially after reading the reviews here. I took my cat in on 12/6. We did bloodwork and x rays. I’ve called many times and the results still aren’t in. I’m wondering if the sample is still even viable. I also called with concerns about the pills I was told to give her as she wasn’t responding well to pills and was told many times I’d be called back after the talked to the doctor and nothing. I am so disappointed.

I don't know where to begin. I come from a small town in Maine. My Veterinarian came to my truck in the dead of winter to give my old, feeble lab his shots. When I had to put him down, they met me in the bed of my truck and cried as hard as I did. I adopted an abused Dachshund 3.5 years ago. He now has back issues. I did my research because I was certain no-one could compare to the service I received back home. I saw the 5 star rating and hoped for the best. I was floored by the service they gave to Max. They not only fit him in the following day, they saw him within a short amount of time and treated him so kind. The Veterinarian called and explained all her concerns. He is a timid dog for obvious reasons. When I picked him up, it was clear he was not traumatized by the experience. The red-headed tech at the desk was as kind and gracious as a person could be. I regret that I don't remember her name but I was anxious when I left him. Don't hesitate bringing your pet here. You won't be disappointed.

Dr Bedford is great. I have been pleased with her and the staff since she took over the practice. I have been with Providence for more than a 20 years and the overall care and commitment they provide is superb. Dr Bedford has taken the time to keep me informed and shown compassion towards my pets and their needs. Great clinic.

Needed to get into a vet ASAP and they were very quick to respond. Keely who I spoke with was very professional and kind. Our pup goes crazy when he sees other dogs. They were accommodating to allow me to sit in my car til they had a room avail. Dr Bedford and Jesse were great and patient as well. We will be using them as our vet for our new pup.

Providence Square Veterinary is by far the best there is in Hampton Roads. Our Chihuahua, Dixie, had surgery there last month, and they were terrific with her! The veterinarian was very thorough with testing and is highly knowledgeable. We will be taking our animals to Providence Square Veterinary from now on!

Great people and excellent service.Our newest Rescue Bella had her post adoption one year check up this week and the staff was wonderufl as always.

Providence Square Veterinary Clinic was very warm and welcoming. They were quick to respond to my appointment request via email. I got there a few minutes early and they took me right away. I was there because I just adopted a rescue cat and wanted to establish a vet for him and also do a wellness exam. They took great care of him and were very complimentary on his appearance and temperament. They also were very informative and answered all of my questions. I will certainly keep them as my fur baby's doctor!

The staff was so friendly and easy going. I really enjoyed the experience I had with them and so did my beagle puppy Ario. He had a blast.

They only seems to want your money, not care at all!!! the receptionist has no customer service and she seems to be mad, she shouldn’t work there if she doesn’t want to, or treat customers like that, I went to the front desk to ask about a medication if it was added to my total of $800 and she was rolling her eyes and seems to be so hard for her. The vet (doctor) she didn’t even know what dog we are talking about, I told her multiple times one from Japan, those two from California, and she keeps mixing them! She didn’t address all my questions and I am so frustrated I called back and there where so confused about what dog I am talking about! That’s it, I will go somewhere else

My dog is not great with strangers and I'm always a little on edge, but the folks here are pros! Glad I found them on a whim when we had a bad broken nail and they were the only ones to fit us in same day on Saturday, def got lucky! But they are my go to now, cause great service and prices and wonderful team!

I’ve been taking my Great Pyrenees to PSVC since he was 6 weeks old. They are always kind and respectful for me and my boy. I feel safe dropping my dog off with them even with covid restrictions because I know he’s in good hands.

OMG. This was our first time here. I was on HOLD! (I hate being that person on the phone when you are supposed to be getting stuff done). My oldest dog was barking, which is uncharacteristic. The staff just went with the flow. I guess everyone gets put on hold these days. They have a very nice secondary waiting room when your pet(s) are being seen. Again, the staff was very friendly an accommodating. After your pet(s) see the Dr. The comes in to the room and talks to you about your pet(s). No one has to be stressed out on stainless steel tables ????

I’ve been taking my fur baby here for a while now but today I was highly disappointed with their service.

Our first visit with our Rottweiler pup was awesome. We were greeted well, staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. A very welcoming atmosphere. They showed our pup lots of love and attention. Very pleased so far with choosing this practice for the care of our furry family members as we will also be bringing our 2 cats there as well.

We brought our dog, who had a wound, into the office when our own vet couldn't see her for over 2 weeks. The reviews were good online and we were not disappointed at all. I brought my 8 year old dog into see this vet to check out a couple of lumps that are on his rib cage. I asked if I could be present while they did the needle aspirate and blood draw, as I wanted to be sure they did exactly what I come in for and not give him anything I didn’t want done. They were very accommodating and considerate of my needs. Dr Bedford and her vet techs were extremely gentle with Freddy. He hadn’t been to a vet in almost 7 years and he’s socially awkward. Their patience and care for him was much appreciated. Thank you!
