Pet Clinic At Woods Corner Virginia Beach, North Carolina

I brought my elderly dog in for a rabies and license as well as a nail trim. The staff was so kind and gentle! I would recommend them to anyone with a pet. Their care is exceptional!

I honestly never write reviews and it takes alot to upset me.... But this place did. One, it was unacceptable how they treated our friendly one-year-old lab puppy. Our little, happy lab!! The vet himself and his assistant treated her like a vicious dog, they walked into the room and didn't greet her very much. Put her in a headlock so they could examine her which freaked her out. Its very hard to rattle our very outgoing pup and they accomplished that in a very few short minutes. Two, we called 6 months later to get her info so I could get her more heartworm online. (Which is super normal, we did this before we moved to the area, and I know several others that do this as well with their vets, our new vet gives that info out to their owners without missing a heartbeat) They wouldn't give me her info on her charts unless we went in for another full on vet apt, full of MANY fees. We really wanted this to work, but would not recommend at all.....

Love the special attention they give our Golden! Love how they work us in last minute when our baby isn't feeling well. Highly recommend this exceptionally caring staff!

I started taking our cats to Dr, Bruce when our Persian cat got his tail caught in a power chair, was bleeding and half his tail was totally skinned off. I couldn't find an emergency vet that would see us right away. He is a caring vet who loves his patients and his staff is pleasant and full of empathy.

Probably THE WORST vet doc I’ve ever spoken with //staff wasn’t much better. My GSD has extreme anxiety& and was not socialized before 11weeks , doctor wouldn’t give me any information or side effects on medicines offered. I am very skeptical and want medicine to be a last resort; He kept offering the medicine with no answers to anything, rudely interjecting “so do you want the meds or not?” I Informed the staff when I called to book our appointment, Jackson is very sketch and timid, and his last vet appointment before Covid scared him tremendously. Instead of taking their time with him and encouraging him — they treated him like he was a monster; which kept him even more on edge the entire visit. Said we would have our visit when no other pets were in the office (wasn’t sure how he would respond) and there were 3 other dogs that came and went while we were sitting in their smaaallll lobby! Jackson is over 100lbs! May be great with small dogs and socialized dogs but should really consider how to handle and make other dogs feel safe and welcome as well. Doctor wouldn’t /couldn't/ or just wasn’t even standing up or looking at me while in the office. Just a horrible experience for me and my dog

Always awesome. I can't thank the staff enough for their patience with my ornery old man (speaking of my dog, Bear, not my hubs). They fit us in on a busy day for preventive nail removal, and now I won't worry he'll tear it off causing other damage. We are so appreciative!

I called as I wanted a in person visit with a vet for my furbaby. They gave me a same day appt!! The staff were welcoming, sweethearts and Understanding to my needs for my boy, who is very skittish to new people and a big boy, a great dane. Dr. Bruce came and sat down in lobby to talk to me, my boy within minutes was trying to sit in his lap!!! Dr. Bruce ended up taking my boy to surgery a week later, every person there were attentive, allowed me to stay with my boy until he was asleep before they took him back (all this in lobby so he was comfortable and not scared). They called with before, during and after with updates. One tech sat with my boy thru his recovery, so he wasn't waking up in a crate. Sitting on the floor for over a hour, Keisha was a angel!!! Dr. Bruce figured it was the best aftercare for my boy. When the results came in yesterday, Dr. Bruce was very compassionate, gave me the respect to pause so I could gather myself, offered me copies of results, options and more. My boy has MCT cancer and options are scarce and expensive, he is still looking for other ideas and options, I can call him back for anything I need for my boy. I am overly thrilled to have a NEW vet for my 4 dogs!!

This was my first visit to this clinic. This is my first time ever having a pet. I was so nervous and just concerned that I was going to mess up. The staff made me feel so at ease and comfortable. They were kind and gentle and very patient with me. And they were so sweet to my fur baby. He’s only 10 weeks old but he is such a big boy. I can’t say enough about the staff and the doctor there. I am very pleased and believe my new bestie is in great hands!!

I used this vet for my new puppy. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The vet is patient takes time to answer questions and is very knowledgeable. If you are looking for veterinary services at reasonable prices and excellent care I recommend the Pet Clinic at Woods Corner.

I had taken my chihuahua to three other veterinarians prior to my visit to Doctor Bruce. He hadn't been eating was losing weight and energy. He would eat for a couple days and then come off as food for two or three I just couldn't get him to steadily eat. Dr. Bruce did blood work to check his levels and discovered decreased renal function. Now my dog is on a special food that his body can process and he's doing much better and slowly gaining weight. I am sure if it hadn't been for The Confident Care given by the veterinarian at Woods Corners Pet Clinic my pup wouldn't have lasted much longer. I've had nothing but good experiences with them. Not to mention they're less expensive then most of the other clinics.

Dr. R is an amazing Veterinarian and his staff are kind and knowledgeable people!

They took me and my dog Homie in when we were in a pinch and gave us their full, undivided attention even though they were getting ready to close. They were patient and kind as always and made sure I had no questions as I left. The staff here is always so friendly and professional. I’m so grateful they took the time to help my sick baby out when they could’ve just turned us away. Thank you all very much!

I wasn't impressed w/building layout. Dogs were to close 2gether. 47$ 4 office visit charge and I'm the one who diagnosed my dog & 4 47$ he agreed. No wellness check. Didn't follow threw on my concerns. No temp taken heart listened to. Plus I'm very proud of my dog. Mini me and I got no personal greeting and administration 4 my beautiful 1.5 yo basset hound. He was such a good boy under the circumstances. & had the nerve to charge 20$ for faxing script to med place cause its very expensive. O & charged me twice and were nonchalant like I can wait days for them to correct. Don't mess my dog or rip me off

Our pups have been coming here for years. They treat them like their own. Peanut and May are in good hands here. Thank you all!
