I have a mean dog and he must be muzzled to go in they are very good about getting him in and getting him out

First of all contacting them is a hassle... they don't let you to wait with your pet and they want u to leave them, they had our dog locked up for 8+ hours even though we had an appointment. The dog came home back with pains, stressed, scared and just set there for 2 days without eating or moving much. When we asked them to explain the situation, they didn't even bother to call back- as they promised

They take wonderful care of out dogs for many years. Staff and Dr's are terrific

Kempsville animal hospital is the best that you could possibly go to. I've been going there for years and I've always had excellent excellent care for all of my dogs. These doctors and and everybody there go extra miles for their clients. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

My family has gone to this vet for years, until recently. I will not be returning anymore due to a young lady named Priscilla. I went one day to drop my cat off and Priscilla was rushing me out the door. The first red flag was that she yanked my cat out of my arms & didn't even bother to ask what was going on. She just said "somebody would call". Days went by & I got no response. So I called.... when I called, Priscilla picked up & abruptly interrupted me by saying "didn't I tell you that we would call you?!". There is a young lady there, I believe her name is Monica (black hair with tattoos) who overheard the phone call. She called me back to tell me what was going on with my poor cat & was very professional. When I went to pick my cat up she was apologizing over and over! She deserves a raise!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, I will not be going back because I do not trust Priscilla.

I love this vet because I can tell they really care about our dogs and they’re always very nice. Unfortunately every time I call to schedule an appointment the receptionist is very rude and snappy which is upsetting.

They are very loving and patient with the animals and their parents. They did a thorough checkup and they talked to you and educate you while they're checking your pet.

I'd give 5 stars, but they need more veterinarians. Several have retired and down to minimum... takes a while to get pet seen so that stinks. But once your day comes, great vet and awesome place!

Place just isn't the same since Joanne no longer works there!!

We have a been going here for years, would not take our babies anywhere else. I just wanted to send a thank you via web review to the office staff for taking such great care of our Pug, Dash Alexander. Dash fought cancer for the last year and we recently had to make the decision to let him go. The staff at Kempsville were so kind and thoughtful during this time. I cried when I spoke with Vicky on the phone, she is so sweet, and Dr. Spencer was always so caring and attentive with Dash. I can’t thank you all enough.

Very professional service as we took our dog Mickey in for a routine check up. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and I will remain a returning customer.

The care for our dog is top notch when we can get in, however, there needs to be a better plan for a pet the has a sudden illness and needs immediate attention. Our dog was needslessy suffering and ear infection for days because she couldn't be seen. Would you allow your child to suffer for four or five days because the hospital was too busy? No. Something needs to change in the way appointments are scheduled to better allow for emergencies.

They provide great care and understand your pets are part of your family! Very willing to sign for orders when you buy products online.

After 2 emergency vet visits I was able to attend my cats regularly scheduled visit. The emergency vets weren't able to figure out why my cat was straining to use the litter box. After looking at all the reports, and running an ultrasound they were able to diagnose my cat with an enflamed bladder and crystals in his bladder. The staff squeezed him in for this ultrasound and they stayed late to ensure he had all the meds he would need and prescribed cat food to take home in order to start breaking up the Crystal's. All the while I was a wreck in my car (COVID) Kempsville Vet was taking very good care of my baby. They advised me of options I had available to me and what they recommended. They took care of my and my cat like they were my family. I highly recommend them.
