The staff was really nice. They display signs on their door to remind folks not to "ghost" their furbabies (leave while pet is being treated). Even though social distancing was in place they made sure they took the time to tell me what was expected, needed and the possibilities.

Dr Soles and staff at Bayside Veterinarian Clinic are first class in every regard. They are prompt and kind. They are very skilled at what they do. I would not take my Goo Goo anywhere else!

This was the first time I have brought my puppies here and it was a great experience! The staff was timely and polite and they did my two pets nails free of charge. When I spoke to the doctor he gave me a thorough explanation of the visit which I appreciated. And on the way out we got a goody bag! Very pleased with this visit.

When I first moved to the area over 20 years ago, I needed a veterinarian for my cat. I went to Bayside veterinary clinic on Shore Drive because it was close, and the prices were very reasonable. I know there is no price you can really put on a life, human or otherwise, but I did have a very tight budget and needed to be able to afford the Veterinary Care that would be provided to my pet. When I walked in to the office, it was very warm and inviting. Almost like stepping into a familiar kitchen or Den in a friend's house. The staff was very accommodating and helpful and had a true love for animals. As I waited to see the doctor with my cat, it was a very easy wait. We were seen at the appointment time promptly and the veterinarian who cared for my cat, Dr Adair was absolutely wonderful! My cat who was not very friendly with most people and would run and hide seem to take to Dr. Adair very quickly. After examining my cat he prescribed a necessary treatment and we were on our way with necessary medication in tow. Please don't be fooled by the location nor by the size of the office. They are a fully-equipped Veterinary Clinic that provides exceptional care for your pet friends. I would highly recommend Bayside Veterinary Clinic as a choice for Veterinary Care. Please know also, that they are associated with the Animal Medical Center off of Mill Dam Road in Virginia Beach. That is the main Veterinary Clinic that they operate under as Bayside Veterinary Clinic is a satellite Office of the Animal Medical Center. But as I said earlier, they are fully equipped and can handle your pets veterinary needs.

Had to have my cat put to sleep after 14 wonderful years. The staff was extremely rude. The receptionist was more concerned about the payment for a new patient because I had not brought her in the year before. I will never go back to them or recommend anyone to take their pet there.

Very slow. There don't move fast here. Snake bit victim my dog. We've been here over 3 hours. 3 people were ahead of us. 3 hours ago. There now gone, were still here, 10 more people with animals have filed in. When I ask for an up date they act like it's an inconvenience...Last time it cost me$1500. And they didn't do much!!! They charged me for snake anti venom but never gave it to my dog saying she didn't need it... So why Did I pay for it.

I have used them for many years. The doctors are thorough and competent. They explain things very well. They keep good records and most of all they are reasonable.

Been going to this locally owned vet for years and would highly recommend them.

Do not take your pet to Bayside Veterinary Clinic. They are rude and inconsiderate. If they can't treat humans with respect it is a wonder how they will treat your family pet.

If you care about your pet do yourself a favor and find a different vet. I recently took my dog here to get her shots/checkup. ($180) On a previous visit the clinic matched the Petmeds price for my dogs Trifexis so I asked them to do so again. They informed me that I would have to go home and print the Petmeds price and bring it to them. I don't have the time to be running back and forth so I just ordered it through Petmeds. I prefer to spend my money locally but if you insist on making me jump through hoops to do so it is not going to happen. This is when the clinic did everything in their power to avoid filling my dogs prescription without regard for the fact that my dog was out of heartworm medication and at risk. I received an email from Petmeds saying I needed to call Bayside vet clinic. When I call they inform me that they will no longer fill my prescription because my dog was at the upper weight limit for that particular prescription and that if I wanted that prescription I would have to bring her back in to be weighed to ensure she was under the upper weight limit. The vet was ready and willing to fulfill my dogs prescription for this dosage the day I was in their office but now that I am buying it from Petmeds they are no longer willing to do so. So, I took my dog back to their office and had her weighed. She was well within the limits so I requested that they fax the prescription to Petmeds. Their response was that I would have to have Petmeds resend the request. Another employee behind the counter said that was not necessary, they could just send it over. They never sent it to Petmeds so I had to reorder the prescription. After I placed the order I received a phone call from Bayside vet clinic informing me that they would not fill the prescription unless I brought my dog in for another heartworm test even though when I was just in their office for her shots the test was done. This is when I realized they are never going to fill my dogs prescription so long as I am buying it elsewhere even if it means that my dog has to continue to be at risk for heartworms. Now I am certainly not going to be taking my dog back to them and will be looking for a new vet. Bayside vet clinic does not care about you or your pet. Go somewhere else.
