I really uphold and appreciate the staff at Suffolk Animal Hospital. I truly feel confident when I needed to boarder my Frisky. His grooming is always A-1. And should I mention his health care is on point and affordable.

I've never had a dog enjoy going to the Dr appointment. As soon as I pull into the parking lot Bella Louise starts barking cuz loves going there.

On this particular visit my Bella was only going for a nail trim. Miss Bella gets carsick and she's always nervous when going to the vet. She had an awful accident in the car. Let's just say she left her mark all over me, her (vet) blanket, the pad on the floor and on the car seats. Of course she was a dirty mess ????????♀️ I walked in with gloves on holding my Bella and explained what happened. Everyone was so nice and caring. I can't remember her name but when she took her to the back she made Bella feel so safe and even washed her up for me. We've been going to Suffolk Animal Hospital for years, they took great care of our Chihuahua "Chi-Chi" who crossed the rainbow bridge in 2015. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a vet that provides exceptional service. They treat your pets with care. Signed, Forever Customer

I had a good feeling even after the first phone call to schedule our first appointment, and feel even better after visiting with our Buster! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the staff truly love animals and are there for the right reasons! My husband and I felt very comfortable and supported as we begin this journey with our recently rescued...and very highly energetic...puppy! I have had experiences in the past with other vets that were not so positive, which is why we were searching for a new puppy doctor, and I am thankful we found you guys!

I have taken my dog here last year during the pandemic, she has epilepsy and I was concerned that I couldn't go in with her. They came and took her in and kept her what seemed like forever, when they brought her back out she had fleas on her which led me to believe she was put in a kennel while she was inside. I let it go didn't make a big fuss but I didn't take her back for the "follow up" appointment. The last 2 nights she has had seizures lasting over 4 hours, so I called to see if we could get something to make her comfortable in her last days. The lady said oh you need to pay the $25 no show fee before we can see her, thinking I could get her in today or tomorrow as a emergency visit ,so I paid it over there phone only to be told they can't see her for over a week from now, ok fine so what am supposed to do she's may not make it another week. The lady said I'll talk to the doctor and call you back. Get a call back for her to say take her to the cove or a place in Richmond, no explanation of any kind, so basically l felt like they are refusing service.

I would most definitely recommend Suffolk Animal Hospital for boarding your pets. Kathy is a God send to us when we have boarded our 2 Silver Labrador’s, especially because one of them has a heart condition and takes medication. I have every faith in her that she goes above and beyond to take of my precious babies. So much so I actually went out of town and we returned back to Suffolk Animal Hospital and used them again. Also very well maintained facility and the cost is very good.

The veterinary service was excellent. Both me and my pets have always had a positive veterinary experience there. However, they charge an undisclosed fee ($3.75 in my case) when you pay with a card. Merchants must disclose any fees they're going to charge you prior to using a card. I brought this to the attention of Suffolk Animal Hospital and asked for a refund, but my request was denied. I was also told that only some cards are charged and not others and they don't know until after a card is used whether it will be charged a fee. I have filed a dispute for the overcharge with my bank, and now I know for the future to use a different method of payment. Edit after reply from business owner: I did use my debit card. When I questioned the fee, I was told "maybe it was run as a credit card." I wouldn't know because I handed the receptionist my card.

Just a quick thanks for taking care of Sony today. He only need a shot today but you made sure all my question were answer and I even got him on flee medicine( chewable so much easier????). See u if we need anything else

I found a sick kitten this morning and took her to SAH for help. They turned us away and refused to help the poor little baby. They do NOT care about animals that's obvious.

My toothless Tyler had to have his last tooth pulled a few days ago, my partner and I were beyond happy with tylers care. The staff was so helpful and got Tyler in to see the vet the same day I called. Thank you again.
