Friendly front desk, tech and vet seem to care and no pressure to buy/ do anything too quickly. If you order from the online pharmacy the phone-assistance is non-existent. Recording said 10 min wait; I gave up after 25 min.

Great customer service. They take care of your animals.

Took my dog here for fleas. They don't have the good flea stuff. They said it would work... It did not So I had to take my dog to a real vet.

The team here are very friendly and very thorough. They also offer an option to drop off your furkid in the morning to be seen between appointments -- I recommend asking if that's an option when you call to make an appointment if they're booked.

My puppy got sick over the weekend and the ER vet was only taking end of life / critical cases. I called first thing Monday and they worked us in. We were in and out faster than I have EVER been in and out for human ER visits! The staff was kind, patient, and super helpful. They helped me maneuver my dog, even around obvious pain. My questions were all answered without talking down to me while still being thorough. I was also PLEASANTLY surprised at the cost when we were done! We left with the medications we needed, so there was no delay in care for my best girl. They didn't force a cath for urine collection, and just let me collect at home and drop off. I was not pleased with our former vet and didn't want to go back, but NVC reminded me that good care is out there! We will be switching for all our visits because they're totally worth the drive!

Loved it furbabie was very sick they took time explained everything to me. Great doctor and staff.

NVC is incredible. On a Saturday, they found time to fit my dog in to be examined between appointments even though they aren't our usual vet. All the local animal hospitals were incredibly busy or overcrowded so the NVC staff went out of their way to examine her. They showed her so much love while trying to figure out her injuries. We will be switching to this clinic because of their kindness and desire to help us today. Thank you.

Really liked my pet's grooming... He was happy also when he left couldn't stop rolling over once we got home..

Absolutely amazing experience! I took my guinea pig in after he started showing signs of not feeling well and Dr. Cochran and her team were wonderful with him and so kind! Definitely making this my permanent Veterinary clinic.

My dog had an ear infection and my vet couldn't get me in for 3-4 weeks. As a new client Nansemond Veterinary was able to get me in the same week. Everyone was nice and my dog loved it. We will definitely be back!

I took my ferret in yesterday to get a check up and the office staff was amazing to us the doctor we saw was so good and very nice I highly recommend this vet for anyone that has pets

The facility and staff are amazing. You can tell they really love their fur babies here as the doctors and staff were very kind, receptive and informative. They offer lots of services like boarding, grooming and training however, they do not have an emergency pet clinic because of the boarding they offer. For a place filled with animals, it was clean and well taken care of. I feel so lucky to have found an awesome place like this to take my new puppy for the rest of her life.

I just moved to the area, and scheduled an emergency visit for my dog here. It really was a wonderful experience! The service was fast, professional, and endearing to my heart. My pup had to undergo a procedure, and I was called and updated about her progress. They not only took care of my baby's problem, they made me feel good from the moment they took her in. The staff was super nice and caring. You could say that I plan on sticking with this veterinary clinic 100 percent! Thank you to the staff that took care of Dolly! You all are so wonderful! She's doing so much better!

Great place to take your pet

I can't say enough good things about this vet. They are saving my kitty and the prices are very fair. I especially really love Dr. Cochran. She is patient and clearly cares about the animals. She saved my friend's dog from parvovirus as well.

Wonderful vet! They treat your pets like family. I have a 13 year old yorkie and he has received the best care. Needed a vet in VA since his is in NC. Can't ask for a better place!

They almost never clearly communicate what needs to be done, what they want to do and what they did.

I would give ten stars if I could. We were visiting from out of town and needed to have our pug's eye checked as soon as possible for a scratch. After calling a couple of other vets in the area with no luck, the staff at Nansemond completely understood the health situation that we were dealing with as well as our travel constraints and kindly told us to bring our pug in right away and they would fit him in when they could. We were out in under an hour with a diagnosis and the treatment that he needed to keep his injury from getting worse. They communicated promptly and efficiently via phone the entire time and based on the look on his face when he came out...he was treated like a king. Excellent practice from admin to dr., I would highly recommend!

Most compassion in my sad time

Just brought my new puppy here for physical told them no shots were needed they were already given picked my pup up he was given shots. Requested record of shots had to wait in parking lot over and hour for a printout that was not correct. Paid for wormer was told to bring him back up to be weighed when it was due as last wormer was already paid for was told they cannot tell me how long my wait will be to weigh my dog as there is only one dr. This might not be everyones experience but mine has been horrible any time i have to call or supposed to be able to stop by to pick up an item thats already been paid for. Cannot recommend. Very unorganized and it seems like they dont really care.

Excellent Service! Staff is so nice and Dr Cochran was very thorough, informative, and really cared for my Cat Pachino and compassionate to the situation we were going thru. Thank you to the Staff and to Dr Cochran!
