I love the staff at Southport Animal Hospital. They are so friendly and caring. And Dr. Lyne is the best. He takes time to explain all that he is doing. He’s very knowledgeable and compassionate when caring for our two cairn terriers. Thank you all for providing excellent care to our boys!

Everyone was very nice and interacted with our pet immediately. They were very thorough in their examination and diagnosis. I especially liked the follow-up text from the Doctor the next day to see if we had any questions or concerns.

Doctor Rogers and his assistant were outstanding. They were very professional and displayed a great deal of knowledge about pet care. Both were outgoing and friendly and treated our dog (McCarthy) with kindness throughout his annual check up and shots. The recommendation they gave us about how to take care of our pet going forward was right on and much appreciated.

Although we moved to Wilmington I continue to bring my dogs to Southport Animal Hospital. The team is FABULOUS and always take such great care of my babies!! My 10-yo lab mix had to have several teeth removed and Dr. Gallagher and team took the best care of him! I'll continue to make this drive because I know my pets are in the best hands!

I have liked this office since moving to the area 5 years ago. In the last year the prices have increased to the point it is no longer affordable to continue taking my animals for care. I will have to look into vet clinics that don’t charge $60 before any vaccinations. Charging more for pet health only hurts local animals.

Dr Lauren Gallagher Robinson is the most attentive, knowledgeable, caring, loving veterinary doctor I have ever had the pleasure to love and take care of my fur babies. She makes me feel as if they are her babies. She always explains in detail exactly what she is doing and makes sure I understand as well. She is simply the very best!

We have (2) 15 year old dogs who require a lot of care. The folks at Southport Animal Hospital always give them great care.

Dr Gallagher, the vet techs, receptionist are all wonderful. They care about animals and show it.

The staff here is always very friendly and are good with the animals. However, they are not responsive when you call and leave a message. I called and spoke with the front office staff Thursday morning in an attempt to get some anti-diarrhea medicine for my dog. When I had heard nothing back by mid-afternoon, I called and left a message. Still no response. The next morning, I called and left another message. Still no response by mid-day so I went by the vet to get the medication. The front office staff said there was a message in my chart but they hadn't had time to get to it yet. This was 36 hours after my initial call. This is not the first time I have had this issue.

A vet that actually listens and provides targeted care for our animals. Our dog has had severe skin allergies for over a decade and we’ve tried everything our previous vet recommended with little improvement. When on vacation we made an appointment at Southport AH because our dog literally chewed the fur off her paws and leg and was having chronic ear infections. Three months later and my dog is doing so much better, her fur has grown back in, and her ears look so much better.

We booked our cat with Dr. Gallagher at the recommendation of a friend. She was absolutely wonderful!! She treated our cat with as much love as if it were her own fur baby. I was amazed at the love and caring she showed us. All the staff was professional and friendly!! I just loved them all!

Dr Lyne is a wonderful veterinarian but everyone in this office is kind and caring, for our Lab Jessie and for us.
