Took about 7 minutes total to walk in, check in, the tech took my baby to the back gave her the shot and handed her back to me and told me she's a ripe 9 pounder!!! This is the best vet they didn't charge me an office visit fee for rabies shots so it was totally awesome and cheap too. Love Dr Layton. Can't wait to get to know the new vet better over the next few years!

Great staff. First time patient and I had no choice but to bring my toddler with me (not ideal!) She was unruly as a toddler can be but despite her distracting behavior the staff were amazing. They not only showed compassion for my senior dog but they also went above and beyond to help me with my child. Friendly all the way around, felt like family from the minute we walked in. I will recommend this practice to all my friends with furbabies! Thank you again!

Hands down the best team in ILM! Dr. Layton and Dr. Tater are incredible vets backed by an even more amazing team! Everyone cares for the animals as if they were their own. Our dog loves going there so much to see all her friends! I cannot say better things about the level of professional care, loving attention, and consistency with this practice. Not the best experience. Had an animal euthanized. The service they used for cremation was awful. Office manager made it worse. DONE WITH THEM.

We had to euthanize our sweet 7 yo pitboxer, Aubree, and the staff could not have been any kinder or professional. They allowed me to lie on the floor next to her and hug her during the entire process and gave me time to grieve. I was so worried w/COVID restrictions that my baby would die without me but she didn't and that meant so much to me. From their soft-spoken voices and expressions of condolences throughout entire time, it made the process of losing my Aubree a little less heartbreaking. Thank you, Dr. Tartar, from our entire family for everything.

I am so happy we decided to take our dog here. It seems he had been previously misdiagnosed. Dr. Layton was quick to recognize what he thought was the issue, did a lab test to confirm his initial diagnosis, and kindly and expertly explained to us the prognosis and treatment. I love the staff, from the first call to paying the bill...always courteous and mindful of the stress and anxiety that pet owners have while still being professional and doing what they are trained to do: their best for the pet. This is my second visit to this veterinary service. The first went equally well. I would not hesitate to take my pets there because I know they will be cared for as will I. Thank you for allowing us to be cautiously optimistic about the outcome for our beloved dog.

This is the only vet I’ll take my fur babies to! We’ve been going to them for years and every time they amaze me with their dedication, thoroughness, attentiveness, and compassion among other invaluable traits. Everyone here truly loves their work and every animal that comes in, they always give 110% and will never steer you wrong. Whether you need brutal honesty or someone to hold your hand, they will do that. They are truly incomparable, I cannot say enough about these angels. Kristine is our absolute favorite and seeing her bright smile is the highlight of the entire experience. Thank you for being so genuine, and truly just the best group of humans. We love you all!!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Dr. Tarter and the rest of the staff at Pine Valley are amazing! As soon as you walk into the office you can tell that everyone truly does care about the animals that come in. Is it weird to say that I think my dog actually enjoys going to the vet now? Everyone here is super helpful and the local cats and dogs are so friendly! The facility is always clean and the knowledgeable staff are always ready to help answer any questions and offer insights and advice. I recommend this animal hospital to anyone looking for great, loving care for their furry loved ones!
