Four Paws has been an amazing vet and cares for all animals. The staff is professional and compassionate. We have taken all of our animals there for years. Would recommend to anyone.

This morning around 7:30am I called Four Paws Animal Hospital in hopes someone who be there already to open at 8am. A lady answered the phone and I was hopeful that my dog would get the help he needed. He was slowly dying and I told the lady I know they didn’t open until 8am but it was an emergency, she said to bring him on in. I got there a few minutes before 8am and the manager there refused to help him or even look at him. We asked her if she could just tell Us if he’s dead or not. We were distraught. The manager acknowledged that we called the right number but couldn’t help us.This place calls themselves animal hospital. It’s a disgrace. The unhelpful manager of the animal hospital doesn’t deserve her job or to work with animals. I would never trust this disgraceful place. My dog died this morning. I wasted time going there when I could have went somewhere else. Humans don’t go to the hospital to be turned away when they are dying.why should have my dog? Animals are like our babies. We care for them just like we would our own. We take them to an Animal hospital to receive help, get them to help and right treatment they deserve. Helpless. My dog was helpless in my arms as I tried to show her and she died nothing. We drove off so angry and hopeless but we went down the road and to South Port animal house, walked in hysterical, barefooted and with my dog in my arms and pee on my shirt where he just took his last breath and peed on me, they acted fast and came right out to him. Although he died the staff was incredible and most importantly responsive.

Prancer always appears happy to go to four paws. They are always very professional and courteous.

A few weeks ago, we had to euthanize our cat. Four Paws Animal Hospital was amazing throughout the whole process!

Great Animal Hospital! Their prices are reasonable, they care a lot for your animals and they're very proactive. They will help you get rid of stuff that the dog doesn't even have yet! The doctor takes a long time to sit and explain with you what is going on with your pet. Great staff!

Traveled to Oak Island for a weekend away with family and our dog. Our dog started urinating blood so my husband call Four Paws when he arrived. A man told my husband that they were “under construction” and not seeing new patients. My husband replied with, “so you’re not open?” The gentlemen said they were open but since under construction they weren’t seeing new patients. Very disappointing as they are labeled as an animal hospital and couldn’t even check out our dog.

Dr. Rickman and the staff at Four Paws are amazing! They helped us through the loss of our 10 1/2 year old lab, Saylor a couple of months ago with such respect and compassion and now continue to care for our small dog Manny and our new lab puppy, Breezy. Breezy had an acute onset of lethargy over the weekend and the staff worked us in to see Dr. Rickman who diagnosed her perfectly and with antibiotics she is back to her "puppy" self within 24 hours! Thank you to a great Animal hospital and caring staff!

The texts and pictures from Dr. Rickman were awesome. The fact that the other staff were confused, didn't have everything with them when they brought my dog out, and that I had to remind them to bring me post op instructions and medicines was not stellar.

Simply the BEST folks for you pet care.

These folks are wonderful. Last visit we brought our dog in because he was limping. Thought it might be Lyme disease so we had to buy a hundred dollar prescription. Turned out that wasn't the problem and without us asking they offered to refund the cost of the prescription. Who does that anymore? Made life time customers out of these New Englanders!!

They take excellent care of my Siamese cat who I call Sam. Sam does not like traveling there in the car but he's fine once we're inside where they take care of him!
