Dr. Michael Ward is a very good Vet. Another vet looked after our new puppy. We called twice after last visit due to allergy reactions our puppy was having. He didn't have the decency to return calls. Would recommend this place only if Dr. Ward is you're animals vet.

Ive gone to them multiple times for regular visits and an emergency visit. My dog hates car rides and going to the vet. They're always good with her even though shes not always on her best behavior. They're also straight forward with pricing and let you know cost options prior to proceeding with any treatment plans. Absolutely love them and definitely reccommend them to anyone searching for a place to bring their animals!

Both our cats, ZsaZsa and Onyx had their checkups with Dr. Ward on 9/21/2021. Even in this time of pandemic protections, we had every confidence as we waited curbside that our family cat members would be lovingly and professionally cared for. Dr. Ward is so personable and prompt in filling us in on what he finds. We are thankful for him and the staff that he has.

I adopted my first dog last year and shortly after, found out that she was heartworm positive. We did the treatment that was suggested. I also noticed a mass on her and had to ask at three different visits before it was taken seriously and not played off as some sort of fatty tissue. After it was finally tested, we found out that it was a cancerous mammary tumor. Surgery was done in February 2021 to remove this. My dog has had countless infections from the sutures up until June 2021. My last visit in June of 2021, I brought her in because I could tell that a suture was infected yet again and was told that it was a fire ant bite, even thought we have no fire ants in our yard and it looked exactly like every other infection did. Two days later, the suture popped out of her skin and I was able to remove it (the one I was told was an ant bite and not a suture infection). It is just stressful when you adopt a new dog, find out she is sick, pay thousands of dollars to try and cure her, and then have to pay hundreds of dollars on top of that for medication to treat infections that could have been avoided if taken seriously. I never realized how insane the prices were until I got to our new vet office who treats my dog like royalty for a fraction of the price. It is nearly impossible to get the vet at JAH to actually call you back and then to feel like you are being dismissed is disheartening when you are already trying to deal with a stressful and unfamiliar situation. I am never ever one to leave bad reviews, but I just do not want anyone else to experience stress about your animals that could be avoided while also saving thousands of dollars.

I can’t imagine taking my fur babies anywhere else, Dr. Ward is absolutely the best and he always keeps me informed and his staff from the techs, front desk, Ashley, nurse , I just can’t say enough about how well they ALL take care of my fur babies, And love, very compassionate, caring and even pray with me when needed, they’re like family and my fur babies and I love them dearly!!❤️????????❤️

I love Johnston Animal Hospital so much. They’re extremely affordable while not sacrificing any quality of work. All of my animals come here and they have gone here since they were born. Johnston Animal Hospital is always very informative with what is going on and verifies with you before moving ahead with any treatments. Never changing my vet! Smokey and Bruce say hello!

I took my 5 yr old German Shepherd here today for a wellness exam/routine care, Dr. Ward and the vet tech I spoke with were great! I’m new to the area so I was considering multiple places, I ultimately went with JAH and was not disappointed.

I have a indoor outdoor cat that came home limping and not being his self at all. Called this office at 830am by 11am my cat was already with the vet! such excellent care from check in to follow up. The cost was fair and service was top notch. My furbaby is doing great now and will be going back to this location from now on. Thank you all.

My dog had an allergy in the belly skin, they gave my dog a medicine that was super strong , she ended up vomiting blood and really bad. Called the vet if they could replace that medicine but they charged once again for appointment fee. In conclusion, I went Trying to fix something and ended up making something else worst .

I've learned if you can't say anything good just don't say anything at all. I leave it at that.

Dr. Ward and his team created a welcoming environment. They are a cat friendly vet and we appreciated the extra steps taken for our cat to have a positive experience. Dr. Ward took the time to listen to any concerns, never rushed, and was informative in sharing next steps. I would highly recommend this Veterinary practice.

My experience here at Johnston Animal Hospital was absolutely incredible~ Dr. Ward and his staff are a Godsend to our family and our little Auzura~They literally saved her life, she had to have emergency surgery that night & the staff, along with Dr. Ward called us that night to keep us posted...not one time, but several times..she is doing great and we went for her final checkup and all is well !! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH JOHNSTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL.. you treated us like family instead of customers ♡
