We were traveling from St Louis with our dog Sarah when she became sick. They got her in immediately and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. We did drop off service and the vet called us shortly after with treatment plan and costs. They kept us updated while she was hospitalized and was very thorough. Sadly my dog had too much wrong with her and she did not make it but the vets and the staff were amazing. I know she was in the best hands

I dealt with Mountain Home Veterinary Hospital over the course of nearly a year. One of my dogs went through the six month heart worm removal process. This involved overnight stays and thousands of dollars. During every single vet visit, I was quoted one price and then charged something completely different. Every time, it was at least $200 more than the amount that was quoted. During our visit today of 30 minutes with a $550 bill, they told me that my husband “signed off on” the cost when he dropped them off, but he was never told a price nor did he sign anything. Then, when I questioned their pricing… they argued with me and walked off from the conversation. I decided to return the medicines prescribed (price not discussed which ended up being $150 for two pills) and I asked for my dogs’ records to take them to another vet. On the records for my dogs, they wrote a very one-sided and untrue version of my questioning their prices and noted that I COULD NOT BRING ANY PATIENTS TO THEM AGAIN. And to top it off, I called back and asked to speak to the person in charge of the office to discuss the matter, and they hung up on me when I gave them my name. Not once… but TWICE. AVOID THIS VET AT ALL COSTS… because you will pay dearly for your pets’ treatment. Side note: after speaking with a friend of ours, they were banned from coming back after questioning their prices as well!!

Called first thing in the AM for an appointment and was able to get in that afternoon! They were so kind to my little Buddy and fixed him right up!

Had my Maggie girl there Tuesday. Staff was excellent . I did have to sit outside in my truck waiting on them to examine her.

They are the best! Super accommodating during these trying pandemic times.

Dr. Amy Thompson amf their staff are amazing. Our new pup is a rescue that was abused and neglected. She was scared and shaking, the Dr and staff took their time with her. Doc explained her concerns with me in detail and listened to ours.

Every member of this staff truly care about animals and are very passionate about their job. They always give my Pomeranian, Squirt the very best care. I won't take him anywhere else!

I have only good things to say about the people who work at Mountain Home Veterinary Hospital, they're all nice and they care about the furbabies, I like that the doctor explained what was wrong with my pet so that I understood it all, I always have a great experience there!!

We were in town on vacation and needed a place to take our sickly dog. Looked up this vet on the AHA website. They were very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of options to take in helping our dear pup. We were very happy with the experience and would visit again if we are in the area.

So glad to have finally found a place that cares about my dogs as much as I do! They’re very proactive and actually talk to you about your dogs health and needs. I love this place!! Can’t talk about it enough. The prices might be a little bit higher than surrounding places, but you get what you pay for! You can’t beat the quality of care that your dog will receive here. I would rather pay this place a little more than go anywhere else for cheaper.

Mountain home is great, the entire staff is awesome & Dr Amy is the best. She's very caring and she adores her patient. Brodie loves everyone there. Thanks to all of you for taking such good care of Brodie.

Organized, friendly and professional help for my fur babies, they call me to let me know treatment and price before doing anything, so I'm not surprised with unexpected costs.

My cat was in medical distress and I called this clinic to take him in and Ariel was rude and does not care about your animals. Do not take your babies here ever!!! I did not yell at her, I raised my voice because my cat is in pain and has a medical emergency and she hung up on me! WORST CLINIC EVER! I should not have to drive my animals to Seymour when they have a medical emergency! You stupid idiot how can you become a patient for a client when you want to schedule them for an appointment!

The people there were very friendly and they really treated your animals soooo very nice.

Wonderful caring folks that go out of their way to care for your pet and they take the time to explain everything to you.
