A local multi generational Vet clinic in Rocky Mount. Introduced thru our breeder we have continued to bring our AKC Reg Black ???? Lab for his adolescent physicals The staff is top notch and knows our breeder. As a knowledgeable lab owner of over forty years, my visit here is first class with what I consider first class treatment. Knew to the area, this Clinic comes highly recommend ‼️Happy so far‼️????????

Love it they are the best quick and fast and it's clean they ask you do you have any questions about your pet they are helpful and kind.

The rude vet assistant should not be dealing with the public. After the excessive hold time she informed me my dog was not on flea meds. In fact she is and I purchase them from Hicks regularly. That's when she really copped the attitude. I hung up on her. I called later to cancel my appointment and never received a call back. I then went to speak with the vet assistant in person and they would not give me the name or get off their lazy buts to find out. This place is highly incompetent. If they don't know the medicatios my dog is on I sure don't want them treating my dog and as far as the attitude I don't need that either!

Dr Michael is our vet. He shows a real interest in our pet and has called often to check on her and to make sure that he was giving her the best care!

The staff and Dr Michal Sr. and Jr. Treat you and your pets like family. Dr. Michael Sr. Would love on our Abby girl like a grandma loving on her grandbaby ????????. I normally never give recommendations but this place deserves this and more.

Hands down, best vet clinic I've ever been to. Our sweet kitty was direly sick, and they got her in for emergency surgery same day. Unfortunately her condition was too severe, through no fault of the clinic's, and we had to say goodbye. The staff was so compassionate, helpful, informative, and it felt like they had suffered a loss as well. It felt like being surrounded by family. And they did not charge us an arm and a leg for their services. Recently our newest kitty got sick and I called them about an hour and a half before closing, and they were able toget us in to analyze a stool sample, give us medication for our kitty, set up a follow up appointment, and thoroughly explained her condition and medication. The staff goes above and beyond always for their patients and they genuinely care and are not in the business for the money. I cannot say enough good things about Hicks and I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. If you love your pets like family, take them to Hicks.

Stewart was my favorite he was amazing his son got big shoes to fill but is great as well been a faithful client for 13 years for my dog lucky and just started with my cat.all the staff is so kind and treat u like family

We had an emergency situation on New Year's Eve and Hicks was great! We needed a vaccine to board our dog, which our Maryland vet accidentally omitted, and this wonderful vet was able to get our dog an appointment. We were so appreciative they they could help Coco so we could go on our trip. Thank you so much Hicks, we truly appreciate you fitting us in. You don't know what it meant to us!!! Thank you!!!

Kind and caring vet practice.

I feel fortunate to have been told about this office by friends and family. We have seen Dr. Michael with our dog for regular exams and have also been worked in several times for more urgent situations. He is very accommodating, thorough, and also makes our big boy feel special. This week, I was really dreading our Great Dane puppy’s vet visit, since she has recently become extremely fearful of strangers— all 100 pounds of her! To put it lightly, I know she presented an inconvenient challenge, BUT she received the absolute best care I could have asked for, and even that is an understatement. Dr. Jen Wallach and the assistants/techs worked very hard over the period of our (long) visit to build trust with Sally, not pushing through an exam with a “just get it over with” mentality. I really felt as if they believed just as much as I did that the experience should be positive, and not traumatizing. And they did everything in their power to reassure both of us at every turn. I would recommend this office 100%, especially if you have an anxious or shy animal.

I took a maltese I rescued to Hicks Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Stuart Hicks I call him Doc. He examined her and found she had a stone in her bladder,Rotted teeth,not spayed and possibly breast cancer. He. Prescripted medicine. He had to remove a large stone from her bladder and spayed her. She healed from those surgeries. We then had to pull her teeth and remove an entire side of her breast track. She did well for awhile then started trying to urinate ever few minutes. Doc and I worked together to figure out what was wrong. I took her back to Doc he still could not find the source of her discomfort. Doc tried a new medicine after he'd performed another ultrasound. She "Maddie" was still not feeling well. Doc called the next morning as he always did. I told him Maddie had passed away "heart attack" he broke down crying and we discussed how he'd tried everything but could not find what the last ailment was. I trust Dr. Stuart Hicks, Michael Hicks and all their staff. I will not use any other Vet. Hicks veterinary clinic is the best you could ask for. Gracious pet owner, Molly Fisher
