Be careful and make sure you do your research. I loved Dr. Caplin who is no longer there. I took my cat in Thursday with some urinary issues, urinalysis was done. I don't like that the results don't come back that day, it was the next …

Have taken my dog there for years. Expensive and care plan does not help cover cost of medications or food. However most of the staff are really nice which is the reason for a four star rating.

Dr Ghiloni is the best vet. I have been a client since 2003 and he and his staff took the best care of my cats. They were so kind to me when it was my fur babies time to go to kitty heaven.

I did not have a good experience. I deleted my original review because I feel like it was too harsh. But, unhappy in general.

Nice friendly people but sadly my cat is now very sick after vaccine visit. I'm scared for her and don't know what to do. I refused there insurance plan before the vaccines how she is lathargic and not eating. Im trying to get through but no answer????????????

Fantastic commitment to service and took amazing care of my kitten. They definitely roll with the punches; when I couldn’t pick up the same day, they were happy to board her overnight

I brought my dog there based on a recommendation from someone I know. The staff took their time to explain to me what they did, how to treat my dog's condition and why and answered any questions that I had. I would recommend them to anyone.

I've been going here for as long as I can remember, and for a good reason. Years ago, they helped save my one week old kitten from near death and one of the doctors kept him in her pocket all day to keep him warm. My semi feral cat was very sick and they were able to quickly do tests while trying their best to make him comfortable, before they helped him to cross over the rainbow bridge. They explained the decision we had to make and went over the options very well. They completely understood why he lived outside and didn't question it, which I really appreciate. They've done the same for two previous cats, both who had cancer. They thoroughly explained the choices we had and helped us to pick the right one. Below is a picture of that very very sick one week old kitten- at age 7. He's the sweetest boy in the world and earlier today, he was sprinting laps around our house with another cat. I'm being serious with that last part, he's kinda crazy.

Wonderful staff and Roberta is an amazing groomer!

Treatment was expensive, over $250 for an ear infection and bordetella vaccine. Staff was unorganized when I was checking out, couldn’t find the right meds and questioned me when I declined services. My dog was also overly anxious during the checkout process and when we went outside it was obvious she had not been out to use the bathroom all day.

My dog is 8 and this is the only vet I take her to for illnesses or injuries. They take very good care of your pet. Everyone is polite and listen to your concerns.

I always have spectacular service with Dr. Caplin, Dr. Ghiloni, and Dr. Shelby. We take all of our pets here and have never had any issues, and the front-office staff is always great to work with.

1st time going to this vet. Even though Boomer was nervous, they treated him very well. Very friendly staff.

Horrible experience. Complications with a procedure which left my dog in agony and VCA would offer no help during their open hours. They simply suggested I go elsewhere and offered no help.

Roberta the groomer did a fantastic job with my baby. I have had issues with getting his nails cut but she did the best job that he has ever gotten since I have first had them clipped. She also is very personable and has restored my faith in VCA.

It was our first Visit to VCA and I was very impressed with the customers service. Dr. Fox explained what steps were going to be taken during Diddy's visit, and was attentive to all my concerns. Diddy and I left very assured that Dr. Fox will be taking care of Diddy for the foreseeable future. Thank you VCA for making our visit stellar.

Ashleigh Caplin is a great Veterinarian. She has taken care of my chihuahua since she was a puppy and my rescue for several years now. She is the best doctor they have ever had. I highly recommend her!

This was our first appointment at this location. I have a 5 year old cat that needed treatment for fleas. The front desk receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. After checking us in she immediately provided information about certain packages I could purchase. When we were moved to the room the nurse was very friendly & was playful with my cat. The nurse stated my cat had fleas. (He is indoor/ outdoor). After the nurse left, the doctor came in the room with a piece of paper that listed what my cat needed. (Totaling to over $500). This was very distasteful because she handed me the paper telling me what I needed to pay before she had even looked at my cat or anything. I had to ask if everything else was okay, THEN she actually looked at him. The veterinarian stated I needed to pay $25 a month for the rest of my cat’s life for flea prevention on top of other treatments I needed to give him. $25 a month adds up on top of the expensive food she said I needed to feed my cat. I asked if they do a payment plan or have any other options because everything totaled over $500. Her response was “you can apply for the credit card”. She gave my cat a dose of flea prevention at the office. I asked If I needed to leave him inside for a while so the treatment doesn’t wear off and the veterinarian stated that my cat should never go outside and I could build a window unit looking box if I ever wanted him outside. She then continued to talk about how my cat is harassing the environment around our neighborhood and that I’m allowing him to kill everything in the environment??? My cat literally stays outside and sits under the bushes or in my front yard. After she was continuing to talk to me like I am ruining Raleigh’s ecosystem, she left the room. Her nurse told me that her cat is outside/indoor too and her cat does the same thing. I believe she noticed how uncomfortable that conversation was. The whole experience was very strange and made me feel very uncomfortable. I do not believe that she provided the most cost effective things and I felt like our visit was a cash grab. I don’t know if that is how she is personally or if it’s the company that is pushing veterinarians that work there to act like they’re selling stuff for commission. We will not be coming back for that very reason.
