I have been bringing my dog here since we moved to NC in 2016. He always had the same groomer (Mikcha) who did a wonderful job and I never received any complaints about my dog. After Mikcha left, a new groomer did my dog-I received a phone call telling me my dog tried to nip the groomer and he was acting a little aggressive, and that it would cost me $30 over the usual cost. I was so surprised, because my dog was coming here for 5 years and I never received any complaints. The new groomer told me that she asked one of the other groomers, and they said my dog was aggressive before-which had to be a lie, because every time I picked up my dog, he look beautifully done and Mikcha gave good reviews about him. When I picked up my dog this last time-his grooming was horrible-so much hair was left on his chest line, and he was not groomed acceptable-plus I was charged $90+. I will not take my dog back there..

We brought our rescue here for help with getting his nails trimmed. He can be a very anxious pup and it was very difficult for us to get his nails trimmed on our own. I was crossing my fingers that this would work so we could avoid the whole vet sedation route. Success!! Our little man was a little hesitant going in, but came out nails trimmed and tail wagging. He was even happy to see another groomer come out with another dog proving how wonderful they were with him inside. I'm very thankful for their patience and making him feel so comfortable! Stout thanks you as well - we will be back :)

I have been taking my yorkie poo puppy to this establishment since I got him in Feb. Every time I picked up the staff was always nice and spoke very highly of him "He's such a sweetheart" "No issues, he sat and let us do everything with ease." Today when I picked up I was told they could not take him again because he was biting. I apologized as he was a little stressed having been boarded for a few days but questioned why the harsh treatment when this was a one time instance. I was told "he does this every time he comes in." If that were true why was I never informed? The staff had no response. If he was biting today why was I not contacted, I would have immediately picked him up. He has no history of biting at home and we have 3 small children. I dropped off at 8am and they texted me at 12:30 saying he was ready. Barely anything was done to him so what were they doing for 4&1/2 hours with him?!

Our pup actually gets excited when it’s time for his monthly trim. We have the best technician who is meticulous about meeting our dog’s needs. I highly recommend.

Top Notch Dog Spa is the only place in Raleigh that can cut my dogs nails. I have an extremely dramatic Chihuahua, I tried clipping his nails once and couldn’t do it. I brought him to 3 different groomers in Raleigh and they couldn’t either. I made an appointment with his vet to get his nails trimmed, which would require light sedation. I felt uneasy about it so I decided to cancel my appointment and try one last groomer, Top Notch. They got it done in 5 minutes. I’ve been bringing him to Top Notch every month for 1 year now and I’ve experienced the same level of excellence every time.

Their website says they provide cat grooming but after calling and asking, this is not the case.

Grooming here is the best I have ever experienced for my doodle. His groomer, Summer, is the most patient and amazing groomer I have ever met. She truly takes her time with my dog and does everything she can to make sure he has a good experience, as well as listens to my requests for his grooming and checks in to keep me updated during his grooming which I love. After having a bad experience with a previous groomer in the area, I am so glad i found top notch pet spa.

Best groomer ever! Prices are great! My dog's fur always feels like silk when he leaves here.

I started using Top Notch Pet Spa during the COVID crisis. My previous groomer had problems with keeping a groomer and the quality of service went downhill. Top Notch saved the day! The people are super friendly and the staff are, well...Top Notch! Our dog is happy and I am happy with Tracy at Top Notch Pet Spa! Highly recommended, just don't take my regular spot. :)

We will not be returning. Our dog NEVER smells good afterwards like she always did at other places. I suspect they don't bathe her at all, just cut her hair. AND on a couple of occasions they changed the price without notice. Their service has gone down ALOT since the pandemic. Don't go here-- spend your money with a business that will appreciate it.

I love Top Notch and many of my neighbors are calling now for appointments for their dogs also. They are happy with the services there and the friendly and polite people!

The people are super helpful here but the services are just ok . They were not able to cut our 22 lb mutt's nails as he was "too squirmy" and do not do special services like AGs. The haircut was a bit uneven. They do seem to care a lot and hopefully they will continue to improve.

With such consistently high reviews I had to give Top Notch a try and even gave them the benefit of the doubt after a few tries but unfortunately I don't think I'll return. I've taken my large breed senior dog there 3 times for a de-shed, bath, and nail trim. Each time the price was different ($60-$90+) The first two times her nails were not trimmed, on one occasion she was returned without her flea collar. Each time she was not fully brushed out and I had to finish the de-shed at home. On one occasion she was there for 8 hours and it was evident she was not given a potty break. I wish it would have worked out but Top Notch just wasn't for me and my dog.

Please don't take your Sheltie to this business. Bottom line my Sheltie looks like a "shaved lamb" and owner refunded money but never apologized and blamed it all on my miscommunication. I will be happy to provide photos if you would like to see what he looked like when I picked him up.

I have a rescue who despises having her nails cut and has been kicked out of several pet smarts for bad behavior and they even tried muzzling her. She always came back stressed. At Top Notch, her nails are done beautifully and she always comes out so happy and stress free. I’m not sure how they do it but it’s worth every cent! they do a fabulous job with my aussie too!

Friendly service and they took really good care of our dapper gentleman, Jarvis. He even came home with a tie!

Fantastic job grooming our Golden Chow. He is a very sweet dog, but "Don't touch my Feet!" Top Notch has the magic touch - we couldn't be happier with results! Bravo!

I've taken my boy here for years and they do a great job. He's a 90lb labradoodle and I let him grow out for the winter and he doesn't have a mark on him after his big winter shave. 100% would recommend to anyone for any dog.

I have handicapped and senior large pyr-mixes, and they did a wonderful job with both of them. My guys were beautiful- clean & fluffy!!

Nice people, but a poor cut. Missed spots and razor burn that bothered my dog for a week or more afterwards. We won’t be back.
