5 nights of boarding, first time using them. Friendly staff, they took excellent care of my high energy 8 year old pittie mix furbaby. Reasonable pricing, would use them again!!

I dog was treated so well. I would take her back anytime ????.

This place is simply the best. Flexible, convenient, well priced, and most importantly our dog has a blast. He acts like he's being dropped off at Disneyland.

My puppy loves it there. Everyday when we get home she is relaxed and ready for the next day with her friends!

James and his staff are experienced in managing dogs with all different personalities. I have a very energetic dog that can be a handful and doesn’t get along well with all dogs but James and his staff are great with him and are able to find groups of dogs that he gets along well with!

My golden retriever, Beasley, attended with a frequent daycare attendee. Beasley has played with my other dogs at home, but not in an environment that is unfamiliar with new dogs. What can I say? The staff helped him get acquainted with area and he really came out of his shell! Beasley left a confident dog and was excited to go back a second day. During pickup the owner showed his passion for his job by interacting with the dogs and was very friendly. We can’t wait to go back!!

As an ex employee for a week, I noticed that the job was unprofessional just by talking with the co workers. Yes the pay was decent but not worth the disrespect. The coworkers act as if they are scared of James (the owner). I can tell by the way they do things and their reactions. They will often tell me that they get yelled or cursed at if done something slightly wrong. I soon began looking for another job and once I found one, I quit. I read the reviews beforehand and wanted to see if the reviews were correct or not and soon found out that they were true. One of the employees even mentioned that if I am looking for respect, James is not the one to get it from. I didn't want to be the next employee having to go through that experience. I soon found out that employees don't last 2 months there just the simple fact that they quit after getting tired of James' disrespect. From the K9 Kabana aspect, James does take care of the dogs. You can tell that he has a love for them. It's just that he is unprofessional. *UPDATE 9/6/20 I noticed that my review received a response back with a nasty comment that is indeed a lie. This was my only job that I in fact showed up for work everyday on time if not early. They have camera and can show that as well and I indeed have a tracker on my phone that can prove the dates and times that I showed up. The response that James gave me stating that I did not show up for my shifts is a complete lie and I have paperwork to prove that. It is a shame of how much a person can do to make them look better in the process. PLEASEEEE do not work for them.

My dog Cletus always comes home worn out and happy. The staff is always courteous and treats my fur baby with kindness. I feel safe leaving my “Cleet Cleets” in such good hands.

The team at K9 Kabana is just great. My pup can be high energy at times, but she’s never calmer than when she goes to K9 Kabana. We’ve noticed that she’s become a better listener and is much more relaxed. The owner is a pro whose love of dogs is undeniable. I purchased the multi-visit package and think it’s a great deal.

The owner is very rude to his employees and has a Dr Jeckle/Me Hyde attitude. He allows bigger dogs to mingle with the smaller dogs and as a former employee I've witnessed very serious fights where dogs have been very seriously injured. I got fed up with him yelling very disrespectful towards me so I quit..when I went to collect my pay it was short around $65 and when confronted he lied and claimed I didn't work certain days which I knew wasn't true. Finally convinced him yo pay me. When I went to collect my remaining money he called the law on me and had s a trespassing order issued on me, however the police informed me that he does that a lot and they have had complaints from other former employees about his behavior. I just want to recommend to the general public to PLEASE NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS THERE......

This place is seriously priceless. With very nonstandard work hours, we rely on K9 Kabana to take care of our pup 3-4 times a week. James and the team go above and beyond to ensure our dog is taken care of; even picking her up, or dropping her off when we have to be at work early or stay late. Our dog comes home worn out and very socialized. Highly recommend this business.

Since my post was deleted yesterday I will post again. This facility may have started out good I can honestly say that as of December 22, 2020 things have definitely changed. The pictures do not reflect a accurate description of the doggy daycare. I have taken Jax to several kennels around the US and this place is mediocre at best.

K9 Kabana has been a lifesaver! I work long hours and needed dependable, fun, and safe day care for my pup while I’m away at work. I found that at K9 Kabana! Owner James provides transportation, which is also necessary due to my work hours. My sweet pup is always so excited to go play with his friends at K9 Kabana. Highly recommend!

I LOVE K9 Kabana and of course my dogs do too. One of my dogs can be difficult to deal with - he even got kicked out of Dogtopia. But the people at K9 Kabana know what they are doing and have not had a problem with him. I have a new puppy that is super energetic and he always comes back pooped. The owner is so friendly, easygoing, and professional.This place is 30 min from my home, but I still go there because they are the best.

James and Art are awesome! Our puppy is so excited to go play every day. She gets personalized attention and that makes a huge difference. We tried other day cares before switching to K9 about a year ago and now feel so lucky to have found a place where we feel comfortable leaving our baby!

I have been a certified dog trainer for close to 30 years now. I've owned my own business similar to this one including a full on Pet Shop that I owned and operated for 17 years. I have been working for the Kabana for a year and a half now and I have to say most of the negative reviews have been from angry ex-employees who were most likely let go for not doing their job properly and in most cases I was the one that recommended they be let go! We take every precaution to ensure your dogs have fun and are safe while they are here including the separation of any dogs that do not get along with each other. That does not mean we accept "aggressive" dogs, which we don't, but even dogs that normally play together every single day can have an off day and get grumpy with each other. We have two separate play areas to keep each group smaller and one human attendant for every ten dogs as is required by the state. We ARE State inspected by the NC Department of Agriculture and pass our inspections every time! Bring your furbabby in for his or her temperament test and give us a shot. I'm sure your puppy will thank you for it!

Great place to board our dogs, they had a great time and I was glad they had a webcam so I could watch them play.

We dropped our dog off for the weekend for the first time. James, the owner, is really kind to the animals and you can tell that he cares for them a lot. Our dog came home completely worn out (happily) after playing all weekend with the other dogs there. This is so much better than leaving him in a cage over the weekend at most kennels. We will definitely be back.

James is the perfect host for Rufus. Very satisfied!

Left my three dogs for the first time ever......thank God I picked the best place! They loved being free ever day to romp around with all the other dogs. They love dog parks so they were extremely happy here. My dogs aren't people freindly either, but they took to James and the wonderful dog loving staff here instantly. Never have to worry about where to leave my dogs now. I wonder if they even missed me!

I have been bringing my dog piper to James and his amazing staff for almost 2 years now. I have been so happy with all aspects of the way they care for my dog while I am away at work. The Kabana is my dachshund buddy's favorite daycare kennel We've tried several and Woody Jr. is happiest with his friends at the Kabana. This is the first time I've done a review on Google but James' terrific service motivated me to spread the word!
