I don't want to leave a good review because then Dr. Theresa will be even busier and possibly less available for my fosters. But I won't lie...everyone is great at RCAH. Amazing medical service provided at great rates. There are good reasons why so many local animal rescues prefer to work with RCAH.

1 star goes mainly to the day care services. We have taken our Dogs Bubba and Shelby here for vet services and day care for a couple of years now but today’s visit will certainly be the last. My wife called a couple of days ago to schedule a full day of daycare for both our dogs. They said they would call us right back and let us know if they could fit us in but no call. I show up and drop the dogs off anyway to see if they had room and they did. I told the guy about a rash that recently developed on Shelbys neck and he assured me that he would make sure someone looks at it. When I went to pick them up, I learned they completely destroyed BOTH of our prong collars, had no idea about the rash that they assured me would get looked at. It’s also a very bad sign when your dog runs to the grass once they hand the dogs off to you and they pee for 5 minutes straight as if they haven’t been out in many hours. TLDR: Don't take your dogs there for daycare because they clearly do not pay attention to them.

RCAH is great! While it isn't open on the weekends scheduling is not an issue.

Overbilling and adding services that were not disclosed up front. For example, adding a $49 office visit for a curbside booster shot and nail trim for my 10 month old miniature Dachshund puppy. The office manager informed me "it was against the law not to charge for an office visit." No problem, simply inform your customers upfront so they can make choices about where they take their pets! I will not be back!!

Only animal hospital I recommend. They explained everything to me, and made sure I understood what was going on with my puppy. My dog is a 12y boxer and she was having a surgery for a lump on her chest.. every other vet that I had contacted, were so rude. This was my first time having the funds and opportunity to take my baby to the vet and I had a lot of questions. Animal community hospital was really nice and I will keep taking my baby Laila to them.

Best doggy daycare in the area. Our dog has been going to RCAH for 3+ years for daycare. The staff is amazing. They genuinely love all the dogs that attend and take great care of them. The dogs are separated by energy level and play style as opposed to size, and both outdoor and indoor spaces are clean and spacious.

I called asking for guidance on services regarding stray cats. These people were able to give me some leads to organizations. One of those is able to assist me. So I think Raleigh Community was very helpful!

I find the service to be a bit pricey for what I’m used to, but still comparably affordable for the area. They really care about the pets and treat them like children.

Omg...They are truly Godsent & answers to my prayers. Dr. Teresa is Amazing!!! She knows what she is doing & is passionate and has not only your furbabys best interest At heart but the pet family!! Just read her story & meet her once! The staff are patient, caring and go over & beyond. They are there because they love & want to help as many animals they can! My prior vet which is a chain vet did not have the same dedication, committment, & compassion as this place. My fur baby just had a surgery there...And I KNEW & TRUSTED him in great hands!!! Do not even second guess this one!! Kirsten & taylor were so kind and helpful through this process. They kept me updated the entire time. Shout out to spen or helping me and all that you do for the animals too! THE BEST VET Also Thank you to Heal A heart...Mrs.Becker, for getting me to this vet❤

My dog Frank is almost 2 and is terrified of new people. We had our first appointment today and it was amazing. We were able to meet outside so I could be there for Frank as he is just so scared. They were slow and kind to him. They not only listened to me, but they listened to him. We couldn't finish our entire appointment because the they didn't want to push him too much with a new situation. I was so relieved to hear this. It made me less stressed and relaxed! Really happy we found this place! Thank you!!!

I have been taking my dog to this Veterinary office for a couple years off and on. They are not up front with the pricing. Their nail trim for dogs does not include drimmle or smoothing of the nails that is $5.00 extra but they do not tell you til after the trim is complete. Also, almost all services require an office visit charge. Shots for example. I go to VIP petcare most of the time now for preventive care because they do not charge an office visit fee and have reasonable prices.

Excellent care! Dr. Pooch was honest with me about what my dog did and did not need which saved me much needed money. The visit was also far more affordable than any other vet I've experienced in Raleigh. Best of all, I keep my dogs intact for health reasons and she explained the signs of pyo and mammary cancer in great detail. She made sure all my questions were answered and didn't talk down to me about my decision to keep intact dogs. The overall experience was a wonderful one and Dr. Pooch will definitely be my permanent vet from now on!

The best veterinary practice I have ever been to. All of the staff is super friendly, and actually care. The team here consistently put the welfare of your fur baby ahead of making money. The only vet I will use in the triangle.

I moved to Raleigh two years ago and am so glad I found them. They are the most caring sweetest people with very reasonable prices. They helped my first two babies within the last years of their life and I couldn't be more grateful for their care. I now have new furry family members I will be taking here. Highly recommend!

I most appreciate how communicative RCAH is during visits. I tend to get anxious when my cats are being treated and they are understanding when my wife and I call to check in while also calling themselves to update us. Fantastic service during "normal" times and during the covid-19 pandemic. RCAH saved my male cat during a urinary blockage and allowed us to visit multiple times (pre-pandemic) while he had a room to himself during his stay. He was also brought to RCAH with a dislocated ulna (he's a bit crazy)...this was after visiting a different vet that tried to get him in a cast but it immediately fell off. RCAH got him into a cast that actually fit and provided x rays while communicating constantly. We have 2 other cats that haven't had the same medical headaches and RCAH provides excellent preventive care. I go 2x/year for check-ups and they are always affordably priced but the services provided are a step above.

THE BEST! Having just moved to Raleigh, I was at a loss when my little 15 yr old Papillon went into kidney failure. Dr. Teresa’s and Dr. Folka saved her life and she is still alive a year later. Since then, she has had a bad fall and a massive seizure. Both times, the doctors were RIGHT THERE to take care of her, even though it was during the lockdown. They have treated us as if we have been their patients for many years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

We took our foster pet here who has been having many medical issues since we got her. Dr. Teresa took a lot of time to read through her long file before her appointment & was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She followed up after her appointment to see how our foster dog was doing. Staff is extremely caring and helpful.

Loved having these guys at RCAH as our vet! We recently moved so unfortunately we can no longer use them, but we had an A+ experience working with them! They are definitely the best vets in the Raleigh area.

The staff are absolutely the best of any veterinarian hospital I have been to. They are kind and compassionate to both the animals and their owners. I recommend this veterinarian hospital above all others.

Had to have our cat euthanized. Very impressed with Dr. T. I honestly wish she treated humans because I don't think I've interacted with many physicians with a bedside manner to match hers. She took her time to explain things clearly and not just in medical but also practical terms. I don't usually write reviews but I was really surprised at and grateful for the quality of service.

Wonderful vets, wonderful techs, wonderful staff. Have been taking my dog and cat here for years. When my senior dog was in declining health the doctors were dutiful in testing to monitor progress, but also honest and realistic in their prognosis. He lived comfortably for several years through failing kidneys thanks to an altered diet, and was his same cheerful self until the last few days. When it was finally time to say goodbye, the staff was warm, attentive, understanding, even grieving with us. It was painful, but I knew we had done everything we could and made his final years far better than they would have been without the care from RCAH. We recently took in a new puppy and she's already met the staff, and we will continue going to RCAH here for years to come.

Today was our first time in the office; my expectations were exceeded. Dr Danford and her staff were both compassionate and knowledgeable. After trying and being disappointed at other veterinarian offices in the area, I know I'd much rather take my cats to Dr Danford. Her level of care is impeccable.
