This place is ALWAYS amazing. Staff is attentive and answers all my questions, they always treat my cat with respect and are thorough on treatment. I will never go to another vet!!

Won't go back try to get over on you

Moved here from out of state and needed to find a good vet for a mass removal on my boxer’s leg and get established with a local vet. My experience at Longview was by far the best vet experience I’ve ever had! The space is clean and inviting, everyone is happy to help answer questions, and they take great care of my dog. Plus they try to keep the lobby clear so the pets don’t go crazy waiting to be seen- a huge help. Dr. Henderson is very professional and attentive to my pet and my needs as a dog owner- he’s the best!!

This is the most unethical vet I've ever been to! My girlfriend and I took our cat here because he was sick and needed to probably have some teeth removed. Upon getting into a room with him, the veterinary technician informed us that his rabies shot was a week overdue, just one week. She said that to avoid too many people in the room, they would take him to the back to be seen and evaluated by the vet, then they would come back and talk to us and also talk about getting him a rabies shot. About 10 minutes goes by, and the vet comes in to talk to us. He immediately starts in about how our cat needs major dental surgery and blood tests, and pressures us to make an appointment that day. I had to ask him to please give us a quote first so we could schedule accordingly. The quote he gave us was much higher than quotes we later got, and he kept telling us how it was the best deal we'd find anywhere, and it was much lower than other places he'd worked, and so on. Then, THEN he drops the big news. He'd given our cat a rabies shot WITHOUT OUR APPROVAL OR CONSENT! I informed him that we had not consented or asked for that, and was told he'd talk to us first. Our cat has had reactions to the type that they gave him before. He immediately started flustering and making excuses. Then he told us that IT WAS THE LAW THAT THEY GIVE THEM. That is COMPLETELY UNTRUE! Pets are required to have them, but it is not legally required that vets give them, especially to a sick cat that has had medical reactions to them before! So, not only did they give medical treatment without our consent, they LIED ABOUT THE LAW to cover their mistake. Please, take your fur babies somewhere else, I shudder to think what kind of other mistakes they would lie about to cover themselves at the cost of your pets health. Thankfully we got our cat into a wonderful vet and he is doing well. And that other vet confirmed that what Oakheart did was unethical and wrong.

Very compassionate and caring staff

After much thought, I have to give them 5 stars. Gigi doesn't care for any Veterinary office and I wasn't too sure at first but I must say the staff is really friendly and accommodating. I pray that they know how much I love my Gigi and that I don't like having her out of my sight unless she is home. She came with a few problems and now she is much better. Thank you Oakheart.

Although our experience with this location was fairly brief, there was not one negative aspect to the services provided by the staff. They are an honest, transparent, and understanding team who is dedicated to helping your pet and also helping you make the best decisions. We will definitely be returning with our pets!

A hugely positive experience from start to finish. My poor pooch cut her wrist deeply. They worked her into their schedule, and stayed late to get her stitched up. Everyone was helpful, kind, and professional, and it was obvious that they all love dogs. They explained everything that I needed to do at home, and we're great with my follow up questions.

First visit for my Karma and they made her feel so special. Very nice staff and Dr who take time to go over every concern, while following covid guidelines.

Best Vet Ever and so Affordable

Dr. Ghneim has been the highly trusted vet of all my pets.

We started coming here in the middle of the Covid pandemic. Our poor old lady was having some limping issues as well as her allergies and vision. We were nervous to leave her alone with a new vet and wait outside so they did the exam in the waiting room. The vet techs and Dr Henderson are amazing. They put our minds at ease and helped our dog. They are professional and informative. They even called the next day to see how Barbara was feeling and they also called with an appointment reminder. They listened to us and provided solutions that work for us and Barbara. Their office is the cleanest veterinary hospital I have ever been to. This is a great vet to take your animal to.

I live very close to here and wanted to move my 10 year old dog to a vet closer to home since she gets her nails clipped often. The first major visit she had shoulder pain and a couple of bumps that needed to be aspirated. The tech who met me at the door to take her in had already gone through her previous vet records and seen that she had tested positive for 2 tick diseases 4 months prior through blood work that the past vet did not inform me of! Dr. Henderson called me and was very thorough in his explanations and really seemed to care about her well-being and comprehensive care on this first visit rather than her being just another patient to treat and send away. The staff here clearly are thorough and really do their job well. I didn’t dislike my previous vet but Oak Heart is well worth the switch! My sweet girl could have had serious complications from the undiagnosed diseases without treatment. Thanks guys!

Our kitty was very old and very sick. The staff at Oak Heart went above and beyond to care for an old drooly kitty like he was a playful kitten. They were gentle and kind, not only with him, but with us. They called him by name and seemed happy to see him again. They were professional but so very caring as we made the most difficult decision. They even wrote us a card with personal, handwritten messages. I cannot recommend them enough. We will definitely be bringing our other kitty here. If you want to take your pet to a place where they will be loved like you love them, bring them here.

I am so, so excited to have found this vet. Dr. McKeon is absolutely amazing. I wasn’t feeling seen/heard by our current vet and had a scary situation with our girl (canine Belgian Malinois) the past two days and felt as though we were just a number, when a friend recommended me to Oak Heart. I called twice in one day with worries, concerns, and questions, and the two different people I spoke to were not only attentive, but empathetic to what was going on. We decided to take her in and our girl got the best care, and we as her parents were cared for as well. On top of that they were sensitive and understanding about cost and communicated everything they were doing along the way and gave us options. From here on out Oak Heart is our new vet and we will never look back. THANK YOU to the amazing staff there!!!!

06/16/202 My daughter's have two rats that have tumors and we had Dr Brown look at them. After the exam she gave suggestions of the cost but put no pressure on us. Dr Brown was very kind about the expectations and how long we expect them to live. I must say Dr Brown would make a good human doctor. Becka was also very kind to my daughter knowing her pain for her little pets. I would recommend this place to anyone with a pet, they truly give their all to help any animal.

They save the lives of your fur babies. What else can you say. Even if they were to be rude to you, but you go home with a healthy pet, you should consider blessed either way. Support your vets people. They are very important people.

Cat had an abscessed tooth. They squeezed us in on the same day and let us drop her really early so they could observe her. We were able to avoid going to an emergency vet. Staff was kind and professional. Lots of safety precautions in place as well. We'll definitely be returning! :)

Oak Heart was recommended to me by a neighbor and I love that they are so close to downtown Raleigh. They have available appointments every time I needed one and even fit me in same-day before I left on a trip. They have been so sweet with our older dog, and even get on the floor with her for her checkups. I'm so grateful to have them as a guide as our girl ages. When my husband took in our younger dog, he heard the girls in the back say, 'He is the cutest dog ever!' But, they probably say that to all the boys... ; ) They follow-up with calls to ask how your pets are doing after treatment and they genuinely care about the animals they treat. We have been so pleased with the service there and love Oak Heart Vet!
