Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital at Dixie Trail Raleigh, North Carolina

I had a fantastic first visit experience here. The staff was friendly, attentive and made myself and my dog feel at home. Cheyenne, our vet tech, was especially supportive. She helped me get set up on a great monthly payment program for regular care for my elder dog. The doctor was knowledgeable and had results right away. I would absolutely recommend!

Great Doctors, great practice manager, and great staff who truly care about your pet and you as well. A God sent in these times.

The vet was very honest, and my dog logs him. I was worried because she is afraid of new people, but it was fine.

My dog's normal vet was full so they referred me to Oak Heart. My dog had been limping and Oak Heart was able to work her in the same day I called. They allowed me to drop her off and worked her into the schedule when they were able. After they examined her they called me and thoroughly explained everything and my options. The staff was very friendly and not pushy. They even called me the next morning to check on Shakori. I was pleased with my visit and the care they showed to my senior dog.

I had to take my rabbit here for surgery to get part of his ear amputated. Let me tell you, this has been by far the BEST experience I’ve had with any vet. It is very hard to find someone who will see exotics or find someone who actually knows enough about rabbits to help. I was very nervous at first taking him to a place he’s never been before but the entire time I felt safe and knew he was getting the best care he could possibly get. The vet informed me of everything he was going to do in great detail and also explained all of his concerns. He clearly knew what he was doing and just wanted the best for Chihiro and it didn’t go unnoticed. Every single staff member at Oak Heart was very kind and helpful. Any questions I’ve had since his surgery have been answered and they do not hesitate to help one bit. I’m so thankful for how caring they have been towards my baby. The surgery was successful and he is gonna be okay. Thanks to you guys. Thank you so much.

Great service and level of care!

We have been going to Oak Heart at Dixie Trail since we got our pup. He has been having a lot of GI issues since we got him and we go to the vet much more then anybody would like. With that being said Dr. Rochte has been truly amazing and all of the staff has been very understanding and compassionate towards us and our dog. The Dr. always takes the time to thoroughly explain everything and answer any questions. We are very grateful for all of the staff at Dixie Trail and we know our dog Ruger is always happy to see any of them. We also go to the South Saunders location for the day care and day school with Monica. Rugers tail starts wagging a mile a minute when the building comes in eye sight- highly recommend!

Our litte Cracker dog has some intestinal issues that came up suddenly and Oak Heart in our location was busy so they got her in at Medlin Drive. Very nice veterinarian and assistants... would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended. ????????

We took our puppy to the Dixie Trail location. Staff was outstanding and very friendly- inside and out of building was very clean- the puppy plan is very reasonable- Thank you for having a great priced vet and friendly / knowledgeable staff inside the belt line!

Having moved to NC during a pandemic and not knowing a vet we were very anxious to bring Ruben to an unknown person. Ruben was diagnosed with lymphoma by the oak heart team. Dr. Rochte and the rest of the team were incredible. Out of all of our cats Ruben was the feistiest and hated to go to the vet. Throughout his illness we felt so comfortable and we can't express how appreciative we are. The time Dr. Rochte spent talking to us on the phone about his needs was incredibly helpful and made us feel better during such a difficult time. We know whenever one of our cats needs care we have a safe place to bring them and that means so much to us.

Excellent team of vets and staff at the Dixie Trail office. All of our experiences have been very positive. Our dog has been seen by both Dr. Rochte and Dr. Ghneim and we have been incredibly pleased with their professionalism and knowledge each time. A huge thank you to everyone at this location for making a trip to the vet the experience it ought to be, you all are awesome.

I was excited to see that they were renovating last summer because before the renovation I saw a lot of negative reviews (hence all the negative reviews that are over a year old). I can't speak highly enough about this clinic now. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I never have any issues reaching the front desk. My cat has seen both Dr. George Ghneim and Dr. Nick Rochte and they're both wonderful. This is one of the most reasonably priced vets I've been to! I really appreciate that they don't push unnecessary products or tests on you. The facility is very very clean as well.

Took my three-month old kitten here for shots and a check up. They gave me a complimentary exam and flea/tick medicine to try. They are reasonably priced and very knowledgeable!

All of our visits have not been pleasant for our pets. Our rabbits were brought in to be spayed/neutered and vet tech opened up our rabbit and did not compete the procedure and still charged us....just to find out 5 months later that they told us our rabbit was the wrong sex. Then, We brought our rabbits in today to be groomed at 8:00 AM and they did not have them done by 6PM with no courtesy call. Terrible service every time. Do not bring your rabbits here.

Doctor was very kind and she allowed my daughter say goodbye to her pet. The staff showed compassion in the loss of her loved pet.

Best I have found in the Raleigh area! It's hard to find a veterinarian that actually listens to you. Dr. Ghneim was amazing over the phone and I can't wait to meet him in person once this covid stuff goes away! He actually cares about the animal instead of the money. I moved all my pets over to them after bringing a stray I found in and realizing how awesome they all are!!!

Seriously such a great experience! My dog has severe separation anxiety and takes awhile to warm up to people, which can make him aggressive. Going to the vet has always been a traumatizing experience for him, but Dr. Rochte and the staff could not have handled him any better. I was seriously shocked at how comfortable my dog was and never got close to acting aggressive!! They are amazing!!

Been taking my dogs to Dr Brown and her colleagues for 20 years, since when they used to be Dixie Trl. Always a happy, welcoming place.

I have been going to this vet with rabbits for 6 years. I've had rabbits most of my life. I trust the vets in this office with my rabbits. But since the change the prices for working on rabbits has literally doubled. 150 for a spay 3 years ago is now 300 for a neuter. Also the renovations feel so sterile. I miss the bird in the front and the cork board. Just feels less like a community vet now.

Love Oak Heart! They take care of our Yorkie twins and love on them. They enjoy seeing the vet and staff!

So here's the thing. Oak Heart VH is NOT the same Doctors or office as what was previously in this space. So any reviews of more than 6-8 mos old are out of date. And any reviews comparing these new folks to whatever was there in the past is irrelevant. This staff is fantastic and the facility is wonderful. I'm thankful to have such skilled and caring people in the neighborhood!
