Hidden Valley Animal Hospital Raleigh, North Carolina

I have been going to Hidden Valley for 20+ years for my family dogs and now my own dog. The vets and the staff here are amazing! They are caring, kind, and very invested in the welfare of each patient. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful vet hospital minutes away. My dog has eaten chocolate, had a ruptured cyst on his leg, etc. and Hidden Valley is always there to get him in quickly and come up with a treatment plan. They are always available to answer my (never ending worried dog mom) questions, and I cannot say enough good things about them.

After a bad experience at the vet we have used for decades, we tried Hidden Valley for an issue we had with our cat. They were able to get us in fairly quickly, even during the holidays, and it was a great experience. Everyone we interacted with was very caring and really listened to what we were looking for. Less than a week later our pet’s issue is 100% better. After multiple appointments and tests at our previous vet, we had no improvement and the condition was actually getting worse. We look forward to a long relationship with Hidden Valley.

Dr. Szabo assessed my dog Sadie's growth & performed biopsy after her cytology results found soft tissue sarcoma. The staff is friendly & little to no waiting time for a room & to see doc.

Great communication and very thorough. All of the Hidden Valley staff members were very professional and helpful in answering all of our questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Rita Sabadish. She is incredibly knowledgeable, and I appreciate that she has both personal and professional experience with dogs to consider when making recommendations! We have been impressed with every staff member and doctor at this location. They have been incredible in emergency situations and preventative care, and their communication is fantastic . They are very thoughtful and go above and beyond to reach out when our pet was I’ll. Highly recommend!

Weve been taking our pupbhere since he was 8 weeks old. Everyone has alslways been so communicative and caring and done everything to care for him during visits. I've never had a dog who enjoyed the vet as much as Max!

Being new to the state, I had not yet located a vet. My dog developed some symptoms that worsened over the course of 2 days and I wasn’t able to get him an appointment anywhere for at least a week. I contacted Hidden Valley Animal Hospital and they could not have been more accommodating- even got me in that day. The entire staff was beyond kind and very professional and both my dogs loved everyone there.

We have several pets who are patients at Hidden Valley. They are so wonderful always scheduling emergency appointments for my older cat with health issues and my younger cat too. We see Dr. Berry and Dr. Valenzisi. They both spend so much time examining my cats and explaining health information. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful too!

I moved to the Raleigh area 5 years ago, and this was the first vet I tried out. For the last 5 years I've only brought my dog here because they're that amazing. I've only ever had a good experience here no matter what staff memeber I've interacted with. Every Veterinarian and Veterinarian assistant is beyond friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Sabadish was my mother's dog Martin, primary vet. He was effected by a previous extended interaction with Lyme disease before he was adopted. With regular check-ups to monitor his stability, and suggest any regiment changes, she was able to help my mother extend his life well beyond what was projected. Seeing her delicacy, care, and honesty regarding Martin I made her my dogs primary as well. For as long as I'm in North Carolina I feel no need to go anywhere else other than Hidden Valley Animal Hospital.

My very skitzy kitty visited for a first time to get her annual rabies shot. Dr. McCormack and staff were very tender toward her which I am very appreciative of considering she was a rescue cat with trust issues. She and I left very happy with the care and service she was given.

Hidden Valley Animal Hospital is the best veterinary practice I've encountered. Dr. Sabadish is our usual veterinarian but we've worked with Dr. Berry when an unexpected concern came up. Both could not have been more compassionate, transparent and helpful. Whatever issue my doggo has, they have been clear about what I can expect, what next steps may or may not look like, and what all of the available options are. And whoever keeps the notes does a fantastic job because Dr. Berry seemed to know all of my dog's usual issues before even talking to me about the one I was calling to discuss. It really eases the burden of remembering everything (medical history wise) off of the pet owner when they're stressed. On top of the excellent veterinary care, the admin staff are also great. I feel like I've made innumerable calls to the office to get an admin person (I've usually talked to Sarah or Joy) who has been helpful and kind enough to help me determine if my dog needs a vet visit, or if it's an emergency. It's incredibly comforting when you've had your pup go through an ordeal to call and trust that the person 1. cares about the well being of the animal, and 2. Is aware of the cost of veterinary care. I don't ever feel pushed or pressured to buy meds through this office, or take on additional costs, or come in for an appointment unnecessarily. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The staff at Hidden Valley care about my dog and are a wonderful mix of friendly and professional. They take time with my dog who gets very anxious before a visit, and they take time with me to make sure all my questions are answered and I have what I need for my pet. Highly recommend!

Best Vet's in town for your cats and dogs

We love Dr. V who cares for all of our animals. (2 cats and 2 dogs). She is compassionate and kind. We feel like she gives much thought to any decisions regarding our animals. Extremely professional. Office staff also responsive and professional. Dog groomer Kristen does a great job, meticulous! Thanks to all!

I have been using Hidden Valley as well as another boarding facility in Raleigh for about a year and a half now since my senior cat was diagnosed as an insulin dependent diabetic. Hidden Valley has always been professional and reliable. More recently I dropped my cat off for an out of town trip at the alternative boarding facility after confirming they were able to care for my diabetic cat. I was informed late in the day that this alternative boarding facility was not actually capable of boarding diabetic cats and I was asked to pick him up before close of business. I reached out to Hidden Valley last minute and they kindly told me they were able to board him if I was able to get him to them by 6 pm. I arrived at 5:57 pm straight from the other boarding facility. The ladies that met me out front were still as professional and kind as always although I know I put them in an awkward situation. My cat was well taken care of and packed and ready for me when I picked him up. This was an extremely important trip for me and my family and it wouldn't have worked out as well as it did if it weren't for Hidden Valley :)

I had an emergency situation with my little dog, that I adopted 2 years ago. Despite having a get acquainted appointment 2 days later, I was taken in quickly when I called, and my boy, who is not cooperative with vets, was seen right away....thoroughly, respectfully, and with great care despite his fearful and aggressive behavior! Dr Szabo was so kind, gave me LOTS of information about my little guy's problems, and prescribed meds to help with his problems, and I feel we are on the way to better days! It feels SO good to have professional support, relevant information and guidance toward making my little boy, Max, a healthier, and hopefully calmer patient in time! I must add that office staff, vet assistants, and everyone I met at Hidden Valley were all so very pleasant and helpful. THANK YOU ALL!!

I have been taking my cat to Dr Barry for ten years, even when I moved across town. This practice is caring and professional. They don’t recommend unnecessary services. They are patient and flexible, and scheduling is always really easy. I would never go to another practice!

I have been taking my dogs to Hidden Valley Animal hospital for years. They are super friendly. Most recently I lost my beloved pet and they sent me the nicest card and made a donation in his name to help animals in need. I just adopted a new rescue and they are so happy for me to be back in love. I love the staff and doctors. I just referred one of my best friends.

Hidden Valley has the most welcoming and amazing staff! Scheduling, even in emergencies, has never been an issue, and the vets are always willing to listen, explain, and treat the pups accordingly! Highly recommend if looking for a vet in the Raleigh area!

This is by far our best experience with a vet. My dog has severe skin allergies and terrible anxiety and the staff always treat him like he is their own fur baby! They are patient when I have a million questions, great rates, and very thorough in explanation of needed services. I always feel like they have Parker’s best interest at heart and that’s all that matters.

Scheduled a new patient appointment for my young cat based on the reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. The tech staff was friendly, the doctor was very pleasant and attentive. My normally somewhat standoffish cat was in her element getting all the pets. I’m glad I picked this vet and though I hope we don’t have to spend too much time here, it’s good to know we have a good place to come for checkups and if something arises.
