Dr Fisher is outstanding! Willing to take in my pup even though he is very afraid of shots.

We love Dr. Fisher, they take great care of our dog and he loves being boarded there as well. Most dogs don’t like to go to the vet but ours does because of Dr. Fisher and the staff!

I have been going to Fisher Veterinary for 11 years. The staff is wonderful and Joel Fisher is one of the most caring, kind and passionate people I have encountered in Vet community. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Fisher and his team are the best!!!!! Dr. Fisher comes out to explain what was done and is generous with his time for being the busiest vet in town! We found a tuxedo kitten (when she was 7 weeks now six months) who has had to have a few trips to Fisher’s Vet—every time the quality is the highest but the price is reasonable. He is wonderful with our four year old cat Sonic as well, even though he is not as kind to Dr. Fisher and team. I thank God he lead me to this vet, you will not find better care for your fur family member/members.

My first visit and I brought my big scaredy dog. They came out to get her and we're very sweet and patient with her. She seemed at ease when she came back out. Dr. Fisher came out to the car to greet me and introduce himself - so nice! He told me my dog is a sweetie and did great. Explained an estimate and options for some testing I need for my other dog. He comes outside to talk to established clients as well (something my previous vet didn't do). I look forward to bringing my other pets in. (Well, as much as one can look forward to that.)

Dr. Fisher and his staff are top-notch. I found his practice through a google search when I was looking for a second opinion for my Bella’s duck like cough and skin issues. Not even 10 minutes after the nurse took Bella back Dr. Fisher was giving me her diagnosis of a collapsed trachea and skin dermatitis. The first vet didn’t even mention these at all. Fisher told me how to treat both conditions affordably and we went on our way. That began a series of visits over the past year to treat an aging and ailing dog. We ultimately made the decision to send our Bella over the rainbow bridge two weeks ago, and Dr. Fisher & his staff couldn’t have been more kind and patient. It was my first experience having to put a dog down and I’m so grateful we did it with Dr. Fisher. He truly loves what he does and treats everyone like family.

The best vet you can have is a vet who is a pure animal lover! Dr. Fisher is just that kind of person. I appreciate all he and his staff did to help me with my 13yr old Frenchie “Lucy Who” I’m forever grateful and although she passed away, I know Dr. Fisher did his best ????????????❤️

I am writing this review to explain my experience at this vet last week, as there is no readily available email to address this with the vet directly, and it feels important to me to share this with the public. My partner’s family all take their pets to this vet and gave it glowing reviews. One of our dogs is an absolute holy terror when we try to clip her nails ourselves. In the past we have tried everything from multiple humans restraining her, to the peanut butter on the wall trick, to sedating her with a small dosage of prescription meds, and she is always an utter monster. On his family’s recommendation we decided to take her to this particular vet so they could sedate her in order to safely and smoothly trim her nails with minimal trauma for everyone. My sister in law called ahead to inform them we’d like her sedated for this, and they informed us only a handful of dogs need sedation for this, but we told them she’d likely be another. We made an appointment all things considered instead of doing the casual walk in service they offer, and my sister in law was to drop her off and then she’d be sedated and trimmed up, and I’d be over to pick her up after the fact. What actually happened is they refused to even try to sedate her(only muzzle her), and I’m very sure she fought them the whole time and was traumatized. Not only are her nails not well done, but they brought her back out minutes later to my SIL with a wound in her lip claiming “she bit herself a little”. It’s not what I’d describe as “a little”, and none of this would’ve happened at all if they’d simply sedated her or medicated her like we asked. Upon closer inspection, I just know that a vet didn’t look at her lip, or they wouldn’t have let her leave as she was without an antibiotic (at the minimum) I then had to take my dog to another vet to have her looked at and to get antibiotics etc to treat her fun new mouth wound. What should’ve been a simple treatment ended up being a multi-day nightmare for us. To my understanding Dr. Fisher doesn’t do all the small services, but the tech or whoever was performing should definitely have called in reinforcements after my dog got hurt. I’m not asking for anything from them at all, and we obviously won’t be back, but despite the overwhelming positive reviews on here and from my in laws, we had a vastly different experience, and I felt I needed to share it for others to take into consideration.

We have been going to Dr. Fisher for 11 years. He is knowledgeable, trustworthy, friendly, and reasonably priced. I have always been VERY happy with our relationship. I didn't know it was possible to be even more pleased with the practice, but it happened yesterday! I was so impressed with how Dr. Fisher and wonderful staff handled our visit during COVID and in the pouring rain! Thank you, Dr. Fisher and staff for continuing to be the BEST vet in Raleigh!!!!!

Dr. Fisher and his team have been amazing caring for my extremely anxious German Shepherd who is really dramatic during every trip to the vet. They even come out and help when he throws himself on the ground outside their door. :) This is a top notch office! Incredibly fair and reasonable pricing. Not a sales driven office, but rather an office where the top priority is your pets wellbeing. It’s truly a rare gem! I refer everyone I know to see him because I know they will be in the best hands.
