We are very particular with the vet we choose. We have been bringing our 3 border collies to companion animal hospital for almost 8 years. Dr Chris is an outstanding and compassionate veterinarian. We will not go anywhere else. The entire staff is fantastic and patient even with our Jax who doesn't really like people in lab coats. You and your fur babies will be well cared for at Companion Animal Hospital.

I wouldn't take my working dogs anywhere else. The Drs here are amazing, patient and caring. The staff has spent extra time to care for my middle dog that is super fearful of a trip to the vet. He used to be so stressed out going to the vet he would fight struggle and bite. Since the very first visit he has been way more at ease. He has never bit anyone at this office and he is now walking in front of me to go see the vet! He even gets on the scale now. The Staff here are respectful and understanding. They go the extra mile to make sure all my dogs are getting what they need. I can't say enough good things about the Staff at Companion Animal Hospital of Wakefield!

Dr. Kelly and his staff provide compassionate care and treat our pup like family. Everyone knows Whisky’s name and stops to say hello. We have been clients for almost a decade and appreciate the honest assessments, consultations with specialists, and staff follow up calls. We have found our forever vet clinic.

Dr. Chris Kelly and the rest of the veterinarians there are wonderful people and doctors. They do amazing work and are extremely knowledgeable. I don't bring my pets anywhere else for care. I will be a customer for life!

What really won me over was both Dr. Kelly’s encouraging me not to spend money on superfluous testing for my dog Optimus back when he was sick, and they were 100% right, got the answers and care we needed. They’ve given excellent care and salient advice, even when I couldn’t get to see them directly, for my dog and our cats over the years. When things aren’t immediately clear with complex issues, they explain the process in detail and lay out sensible paths to get answers, and I’ve thrown some curve balls at them (not intentionally, but foster cats tend to make for some tricky scenarios). The doctors care more about your pet more than they do about making a buck, and figure that will keep us coming back, which it absolutely does. They’re extremely knowledgeable, and I trust them completely.

Dr. Jennifer and Dr. Chris provide exceptional care! The technicians, receptionists and other staff are very friendly and personable. Our boxer loves visiting Dr Jennifer! The care they provide is second to none, totally worth our hour drive for our animals' care.

We can’t say enough about the quality of care given by everyone at Companion Animal Hospital. Their compassion and commitment is above and beyond. We are beyond thrilled to have this level of care for our sweet Bailey, 100+ pounds of St. Berdoodle who actually loves visiting her friends at Companion!

Everything is great as long as your dog is not seriously ill. When that happens this vet clinic will show its true colors. As if ordering unnecessary tests not justified by symptoms; not prescribing medications justified by symptoms; and not following up when the pet's medical care runs into a stumbling block; weren't bad enough, what's worse about this place is that they DON'T CARE about a dog's welfare. Not even after I beg them to see my dog for 15 minutes to prescribe medications when my dog was struggling health wise. Vet Chris Kelly is standoffish and uncaring. My take on this clinic is that they are out to take your money and the pet's health be dammed. My poor sweet Trixie is dead before her time and these people were as a minimum no help, and possibly a contributor to her demise. PLEASE take my advise and take your pet elsewhere.

we recently got a puppy he absolutely loves the car but not so much the vet because any dog doesn't but it's a very good place I definitely recommend it The staff is very nice to me and my dog definitely would recommend they make it feel like a second home to the dogs

Just left them not even 15 minutes ago but I just have to say how IMPRESSED I am with this office! I have a senior cat that needed a check up and blood work done, and Dr. Kelly did that and much more. They gave me lots of knowledge on how to better improve my cat's health while making me feel comfortable in the whole process. Looking back at the vet clinics I use to go to can't even compare to this office. 10/10 would recommend.

We can't say enough good things about this practice. Dr. Chris and his staff have been absolutely wonderful caring for our pup. They are the perfect combination of professional, communicative, responsive and compassionate, keeping us informed every step of the way in managing our dog's cancer - with options, test results, treatment plan suggestions, answers to all our questions and everything else we need to know communicated to us quickly and completely. We feel so relieved and reassured every time we speak with Dr. Chris about our boy's situation, and appreciate his professionalism and obvious compassion. The concern for the animals in their care at this practice is readily apparent and our Frylie responds to their gentle handling joyfully. They treat their clients like family. We have complete confidence in the doctors and staff here, and highly recommend them.

This place is absolutely amazing. I take my newly rescue dog to daycamp every Monday, Wednesday, and half days on Fridays. The staff is super friendly and absolutely love him and they test temperaments then put him in with the dogs that he loves to play with! On the days I take him, I’ll tell him he’s going to camp first thing in the morning and all he wants to do is eat his food and use the bathroom and get in the car and go. As soon as we pull into the parking lot, he starts to whine and wag his tail and wiggle. When he comes home at the end of the day, he is absolutely exhausted and happy. Also, if you search around, it’s the cheapest place around. He loves every single thing about this place and on the days he doesn’t go, I feel sorry for him even though I take him for nice walks! It’s well worth the money, and again, much less expensive than everywhere else. We moved recently so I took him on a couple of different days and when I called to drop him off on moving day, the staff remembered and asked about how it was going! And when I picked him up at the end of the day on moving day, they gave him a box of balls and a squeeze toy from his kennel friends and said happy moving day. They are fantastic and my dog loves it. He has a one and a half year old Anatolian shepherd with a little Akita and border collie mix. You have to go there!

We can’t say enough great things about the day camp and boarding of Companion Animal Hospital at Wakefield. If anyone would have seen our girl going in on her first day, and if you would see her today, you would not believe, our little rescue Maggie, is the same pup. She now can’t get there fast enough. She absolutely loves it. The attention the staff has given to our baby has been unparalleled. They will never know how much they are appreciated. If you are contemplating, don’t hesitate leaving your precious family member here.

Dr. Jennifer Kelly and staff are absolutely amazing! When I got my dog from a local (horrible) rescue she had a bad case of pneumonia (plus ear infections, hookworms, and an unexpected pregnancy). Dr. Kelly and team were friendly, professional, attentive, and most importantly caring. They helped nurse my baby back to health through multiple visits and a hospitalization. They’ve gone above and beyond to take care of me and my dog over the last few months, keeping clear communication every step of the way. I can’t say enough great things about Companion Animal Hospital! I recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy vet that treats you like family. Every single person there is fantastic from Linda who’s always quick to answer the phone with a pleasant greeting, to any of the techs who are more than happy to listen to all my questions and ensure I get answers, to Dr. Kelly, herself, who has personally called me to check on me and my dog between visits during difficult times. These people are amazing!! Best vet, hands down. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I was nervous about taking my dog to the vet. When we arrived at companion animal hospital, my pet and I were greeted by a friendly staff. Dr. C. Kelly and Dr. J. Kelly explained to my wife how to care for our dog after her surgery. I really appreciate the care they gave to our dog and felt like they treated us like people and not just a number. Thank you Doctor Kellys!!

Incredible people truly care about my animals and my experience. Once there was a small ten minute delay and the staff were so apologetic. They treat my animals so gently and never force anything on them, instead gaining their trust before gently inspecting them. All of the vets are so kind and truly care about the animals. I would 100% recommend.

Cant say enough how much we appreciate the care given to our "fur babies" . Definitely the best!

I love the team at Companion Animal Hospital of Wakefield! They treat my dog as if she were their own. The entire team is friendly, professional and compassionate.
