I started using Armadale based on a recommendation from my mother who has been using them for years. I switched to them when my large mixed breed had bone cancer. Most wanted to throw in the towel, but the Drs at Armadale gave me options while also being honest about Bailey's prognosis. They amputated his leg and my 100 pound boy was running on 3s enjoying life for another year. Throughout this time, Armadale tracked his progress and, in the end, provided everything I needed to keep him comfortable at home for his final days. Bailey is gone, but we have a new GSD under their care. So compassionate and caring as well as knowledgeable and professional!

Armadale Pet Hospital is the best thing that has ever happened to my amstaff/ boxer two year old mix. My dog was six for the majority of her life with no answers as to why. I took her to Armadale and they were able to diagnose the issue into two days! My dog was also sick with diarrhea for a long time on another occasion. She got treated at Armadale and was showing great signs of improvement after one day. The staff there is extremely helpful and really care about your fur babies! This is the best place to take your pets!

It may be time for me to move on to another Vet. This place somehow figures out a way to get at least $300 a visit out of me every time I bring my dog in for a simple exam or nail trim. First they initially just started raising prices every time he went in for a nail trim, then they insisted he needed to be put on medication to get a nail trim. Then they said he needed to be put completely under. This most recent visit I brought my dog in for a checkup exam and they said he should try Cytopoint ..on top of the already $150 worth of other charges. After leaving once again spending $300...my dog is still itching every day and im out another $150 on top of the already very expensive apoquel which I order online because Armadale charges over twice the price for it. So i call to mention the dog is itching and they said I will have to use the apoquel AND cytopoint?! Strange how this wasnt mentioned and now im spending well over twice what i was paying and he is suffering more than he was. This place will empty your wallet every time you go in there..

Armadale is amazing - I came in with a laundry list of concerns about my pup, and I felt very heard as each one was addressed individually by the vet. They gave accurate diagnoses and made both me and my pup feel super comfortable. I've worked with Dr. Bonifant and Dr. Diener, and both of them have been amazing. Can't recommend enough!

I have been taking my fur babies (Calvin, Finn and Rosie) here for a couple years now and I cannot recommend Armadale enough. It is still the best veterinarian hospital I have ever experienced. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and goes the extra mile to meet my animals' needs and address any concerns I have. I can't list a favorite vet because they are all exceptional. I would give more stars if I could.

I just adopted little 8-wek-old Grayson. On his first wellness visit, Dr. Amy Lehman sat on the floor with him and played with him as she explained, in detail, the care I needed to provide for this 4-pound fluff-ball. She explained to expose him to many experiences during certain time periods to avoid phobias, how to protect him from viruses and bacteria, the pros and cons of some vaccines, and how my homemade diet plan (baked chicken, sweet potato, carrot bits, peas, and green beans) was good, but lacked organ meat (which I don't want to home cook... ick), so gave me an easy alternative diet plan (good dry food with sprinkles of the food I mentioned) (dog eats like a king). Armadale will take care of my dog Grayson for the next decade and a half. We feel we're in good hands. UPDATE: Grayson is now almost 3 years old, and I've still been happy with Armadale Animal Hospital. They send postcards in the mail and email reminders of upcoming care that's needed, and the reception staff is always pleasant. Grayson is a healthy little boy with no issues. The only "issue" was that he had a baby tooth what was stuck on his adult tooth, so he needed minor day surgery. They performed that well. They said he'd be groggy the rest of the day, but Grayson returned back to his crazy self within hours after the surgery, running around the house like a nut (with a ball in his mouth). He's a happy and healthy little beast, and I feel that Armadale will help him stay that way.

Attentive and efficient technicians and front desk assistants, as well as patient and knowledgable veterinarians. Wife and I have taken our dog separately one time each, and both of us agree it was the best vet experience either of us has had.

Dr. Lehman is the most caring vet I have ever come across. I've been through it with vets and Dr. Lehman not only cares about my animals' health but has a vested interest in making sure *I* understand their health. She is always calm and down to explain and answer questions. She's willing to help when you need it. One time one of my cats had a fever of unexplained origin and she gave me a bag of saline and helped show me how to give him fluids to keep him hydrated at home so he didn't have to stay overnight. Everyone at Armadale has been super accomodating and kind to me and honestly, as long as I live in Raleigh, this is my vet. They're pricier than other vets but you get what you pay for here. If you want high quality care for your animals, this is it!!

Have always had great experiences at Armadale with my two dogs. They are wonderful with them, honest, caring, and thorough. They are on top of their routine/preventative care (even when I am not) and have been able to fit my dogs in promptly for injuries/emergencies to be taken care of when needed. In what can be a stressful and challenging field, I am so grateful for all the staff and doctors and for all they do for our fur babies! Thank you!

I can't say enough about this hospital. I already miss it and I've only been gone 2 weeks. You won't find technicians or doctors anywhere else that care for you and the health of your pet the way that they do. To say that they go above and beyond would truly be an understatement. Working at Armadale was an amazing experience and anyone would be lucky to say that they are a part of their family. I love everyone at Armadale and I'm happy I was able to call them family during my time in Raleigh.

Armadale cared for our dog for 14 years. They were there with us through all the good times and bad. I highly recommend them; the doctors are experienced and the staff is caring and compassionate.

If I could rate my experiences with this Vet lower than a 1, I would. I had brought my two elder dogs to Armadale's “sister” location the farm kennel. My dog, Summer was sent over to the vet after a few days of being there they realized there was a substantial amount of blood in her urine. The vet took a look at her and said she has a UTI and prescribed medicine. After being sent back to the kennel, the next day workers saw even more blood and sent her back to the vet. They ran more tests and indicated that summers platelets were low (reading at 47). Moving forward they prescribed her a steroid to help bring that number up. We went back in 2 days later for a check up, and doctors told me they were now in the 200’s and she is much healthier. Well, a day later with all my dogs home I realized a strange coughing noise they were making. After research I concluded they got kennel cough from being boarded there. It wasn’t until I placed the call to inform the vet of their kennel cough that they THEN told me they misread Summers results and she actually has declined rapidly in platelets now at 15. Not only did they send my dog home to me in critical condition, but they didn’t call to inform me until I called them for another issue. I am beyond disappointed and heart broken.PLEASE BRING YOUR DOGS ELSEWHERE. After all of this I have voice recordings of one of the doctors speaking very rudely to my concerned mother who was asking questions regarding our dogs health. I hope this place gets shut down, for the sake of all dogs health.

These guys were wizards with my cat, which normally has a hard time at the vet when she feels like she's being restrained. Other vets have sedated her for blood draws, but they were able to get a blood draw without sedation and minimal stress. We've had some ongoing issues and they have been willing to work with us to figure them out, always making us feel like they are listening and responding to our concerns.

I believe their work is great, a bit pricey on the other hand, but I guess that balance it out. Banfield seem to make problems worse, the reason I chose this place. The only problem I ran into here, Would be the tone of one of the doctors. Talked to me as if I was a neglectful dog parent, and made me feel as I was doing everything wrong. Besides that they took care of my family (pets).

Very professional and very responsive. I have been taking my 13 year old cat Dennis here on and off for about 2 years. I've been really happy with how helpful they've been and how quickly they are able to see him when he has his allergy flareups.

I have been taking my Sheltie here since she was a puppy. She's had a variety of issues and sicknesses and the Vets and staff always provide exceptional service. I trust Armadale with the health and veterinary care of my dog. I will admit they are not the cheapest option, but they are well worth it!

This is one of the worst place to bring your dogs if you have one. I DO NOT recommend this place at all. They have a bad case of the Kennel cough going around (look up if you don’t know) and do not treat any dog the right way and will blame it on “other reasons” and not take the blame. People have left this place with their dogs having FECES on their body, bruises and blood, and not to mention malnourished poor dogs. PLEASE stay far away from this place for your own good!
