I usually don't write reviews but I felt in this case, other pet owners need to know. I had been bringing my pets to Pittsboro Animal Hospital for over 10 years. They have seen two of my cats and three dogs during this time so i was an established customer. During the recent pandemic one of my dogs developed an infection in his mouth due to a broken tooth. The side of his nose had swollen up to golf ball size. When I called them to get my dog seen, they informed me that they would not see him and to find another vet. My dogs and cats are rescue animals, not special breeds but they are and were well taken care of. Several have passed away and probably one more would have if I hadn't found another vet immediately.

Dr. Weiser and her team have been caring for my pets for over 10 years. The care has been wonderful and the pricing and policies good.

I am so happy with my experience at Pittsboro Animal Hospital! Owning/operating a dog training company with 4 personal dogs I am in vet offices more than the average person and am so happy to have such a tip top local business down the road from me in Pittsboro. Then entire staff are kind, hard working, and clearly care very much about what they do. The prices are also super reasonable. I will be switching all 4 of my dogs to Pittsboro Animal Hospital and can't recommend them enough!

I really like this animal hospital. They really do care about the animal and not just making money. The pricing is right and everyone is so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend if you live near this area that you bring your pets to them.

They're always so nice to our puppies even if the puppies like to go in as much as I like going to the dentist. Unfortunately they have had to help us with the end of life with 3 of ours over the years and they have helped us with facts to make the best decision, sometimes surgery, sometimes waiting, and sometimes being honest even when it is hard. We trust them and I think that is the best thing you can say about a vet.

Had a 4 pm appointment and ended up waiting close to an hour. Other people were going in and out while I was waiting in the car in 90 degree weather.

Always a great experience. Sad they closed boarding but it was for a really good reason. Can't wait for the next chapter to open ❤️

My experience at PAH has been one of genuine care for the animals above making money. In my many years of pet ownership, this is huge (previous bad experience in several I feel that the "puppy plan" is a good value if you start with a young dog (weeks old). On two occasions I have been pleasantly surprised that the bill wasn't higher for the service provided. I've never felt abused although the 3 month chewable flea and tick med seems outrageously priced ($60 each). The covid protocol basically stinks - sit out front and call. This in and of itself isn't terrible but there is certainly frustration trying to even let them know you are there. I've consistently had trouble getting through on the phone while sitting out front. All in all, a good experience. Certainly recommended.

My family hbe been taking our animals to see Dr Weiser for over 20 years. She is very knowledgable and helps us keep our pets in top health. During the challenging days of Covid-19, the entire staff have taken safety measures seriously, to keep staff, and clients healthy by offering curb side service only, rather than admit people to transmit the disease. I drive 30 miles from my home to ensure that my fur kids get the best veterinary care available within a two hour drive. Thank you Pittsboro Animal Hospital for doing everything that you do!

Before yesterday I've had good experiences. But yesterday we took our 8 month old puppy to get her nails dremelled, like I have several times before. The results were terrible. The nails weren't round and had sharp edges. Plus I was charged more. Update: They made this right. Took her back and her nails look so much better!

So this morning I had a emergency issue with our dog. Called over to our normal vet. They said oh I can’t see you till Monday we don’t have time. So I called Pittsboro Animal Hospital talked to a very sweet young lady and my dog had never been there. She said yes bring him on in ASAP they where closing soon. I got him there they immediately handle Max and got him checked and proper care. This place rocks... Needless to say I will never be giving my money to Benfield (Petsmart). My business will go to here. And I will spread the news where to take your pets. Thank you all so much

Our first puppy visit we saw Dr. Baucom. The visit was great, she took her time and our puppy didn’t even notice her shot because she was busy eating treats. We went today (Mar 2020) for next puppy shot and unfortunately we were scheduled with Dr. Weiser, the practice owner. She commented on how the puppy was a little shy with her, but our puppy had regrouped within seconds and tried to approach Dr. Weiser. Dr. Weiser did not bother to slow her approach and just reached down and grabbed the puppy all the while lecturing us about socializing her so she won’t be afraid Dr. Weiser is the only person so far our pup has had an issue with. It will know take multiple visits to undue what her poor attitude did in order to get our pup to like the vets again (she loved the first vet she saw). It is too bad I paid the fee to join their vaccine program, but once my pup has her shots I will be taking her elsewhere. When I called Dr. Weiser out for her poor bedside manner and traumatizing the puppy to the vet during this crucial time, she didn’t even have the service recovery skills to apologize for her less than desirable behavior. If she treats peoples animals like that in front of the owner, I don’t want to know what she does when the owners aren’t present. The whole whirlwind visit where she didn’t ask us about our concerns and she barely glanced at a rash on her belly wasn’t worth the $25 puppy exam fee. My husband mentioned we didn’t have a chance to ask about a bump on the puppy when we were in the lobby but I didn’t want her anywhere near my puppy again. We took her to Pittsboro Pet Supply after Our vet visit and the puppy was eager to say hello to everyone that approached her.

We've been bringing our pets to Pittsboro Animal Hospital for years now. The loving care they receive from Dr. Laurie Weisser and her well-trained staff will keep us coming back for many years to come.

They are soooo nice. I’ve taken our pet once before to another pet hospital in town, and always felt they were a bit snooty, with a balance tilted more towards profit than caring. On a second attempted visit for an emergency they didn’t even care—the first appointment we could get was 2 days later. Here Pboro Animal Hospital came to the rescue, treating the emergency for what it is. Everyone was super nice and sensitive to our needs, and clearly animal people. So glad I finally have a pet hospital I can recommend without hesitation.

I first visited Pittsboro Animal Hospital when I moved to North Carolina with my golden retriever who had the worst ear infection I have ever seen. Four other animal hospitals tried and failed to treat her to the tune of about $2000. It took only one visit to Pittsboro Animal Hospital to get the right medication to clear up the ear infection within days. I visited them again last week when my golden had a terrible rash due to allergies. They prescribed medicine and told me it should clear up within 72 hours. Less than 24 hours later it was nearly gone. I have to drive almost an hour to visit this hospital, but it’s 1000% worth it.

They took excelled care of my little troublemaker who decided to eat over 3 feet of ribbon. The staff is kind and sincerely care about the animals. Totally worth the drive from Durham.

I found an abandoned kitten and wanted to take it in to get checked out. They took in my kitten on short notice and made sure she was okay, and also worked around my job schedule so I could pick her up and gave me instructions on how to take care of her. I highly recommend this clinic!

My cat had hurt her eye, I needed an emergency appt and they got me in right away. Treated my cat very gentle and caring as they could tell she was in a lot of pain. They explained everything they felt should be done. After treating her she was greatly relieved and on the road to recovery. Now a few weeks later she is fully healed and doing great. I cant express how much I appreciate all the care they provided!
