This place was terrible me and my girlfriend bought a bunny that was supposedly 6 weeks old. We had it not even 2 months and it died when we took it to the vet to see the cause of death they told us that the bunny had a tumor growing in her that they shouldve been checking for before they just sold us the animal. The place smelt horrible there were roaches on the floor dirt everywhere the animals lived in bad conditions. Dont buy anything from them. Save your money and goto some place legit. Also they told us that the bunny was a boy when we took it to another doctor they told us it was a girl.

I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone, nothing but bad experiences here with the management and animals. I recently purchased a budgie who died within the same week, I called the store and was offered store credit or a new bird, I don’t want another bird that’s just going to be sick and die within a week’s time again, and I don’t want store credit as I will no longer bring my business to this store. The manager was extremely sarcastic over the phone and not helpful at all. I should’ve known better than to take a chance purchasing an animal from this store again, as the same thing happened with a bunny we got here a little over a year ago.

I like the variety the store offers, the prices are fair, and the always helpful staff, BUT... The conditions of the live animals is deplorable. Rusty wire cages, filthy cages, green mold in the water bottles, etc.

I only come in to get worms for my lizards and they sell a 36 count large worm cup, but there are only 22 worms and 5 are already dead and dried up. Staff is usually nice so points for that

Friendly staff. Decent selection. Not the most knowledgeable on Saltwater fish. Also noticed they feed live brine shrimp which is probably good for makes it difficult for a novice to care for marine fish purchased here unless you grow live brine shrimp.

The staff here is excellent! The selection available is great, and the prices are just right. Definitely recommend for your pet care needs. Come ask their knowledgeable staff, and if they personally don't know, they'll find you someone who can help.

Staff is spread thin but friendly

We love this place. We bought our bunny here over 8 years ago and she is still with us..we buy our leopardgecko's crickets here and our bunny's hay, food and pine.

Little young girl’s got the nastiest attitude from any shops I’ve yet to visit. Went here for the first time and was asking a couple questions in terms of feeders and she sounded so bored and unenthusiastic about working there like girl, go find a job where you don’t let your customers feel your hatred for your own life. Their care for most of their animals are subpar, especially the rodents and other mammals they had. The store smelled like death. If there were any other local shops for reptiles, we would take our business there instead but this shthole’s sadly the only place that’s nearby. Sad.

Could be better. Small store. They have a large selection of fish. Reptiles, birds, ferrets, hamsters, and etc are sold here. The staff is knowledgeable.

The selection of animals ,reptiles, fish, is great. If your looking for something different start there. The lizards are awesome, and the salt water aquarium's are full of life. Sorry guys I didnt take any pics but you rather see for your self.

Used to love coming here even though, its a 30 minute drive for me but the last couple experiences ive had have made me change my mind. I came in to buy some fish and aquatic plants and was helped by kaylie who was very unpleasant. She did not have good customer service skills and when asking what the price of a plant was her response was " i dont know" and left it at that. Very unprofessional. Update (7/27/21): Great selection of products and animals however. I hate giving this place my business. Customer service sucks. While getting help from an employee that was catching fish for me. She talks to another employee about how annoying it is when customers ask for certain fish and then shortly after tells me that if there's any other fish that I want then I'll just have to get whatever she gives me because she's tired of trying to catch the fish.

Decent place to get what you need for your pet. In my case, superworms for my two Bearded Dragons and Leopard Gecko.

The ONLY reason I went here is because no other shops on the peninsula have shrimp. From the staff being rude, to talking down to me I would not recommend this store. I will from now on be making the drive to Va beach to get my shrimp.

Lots of helpful staff and the best selection of fish in the area. There is no comparison between them and the large pet stores.

Really HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Brought an baby rabbit from this pet world only had my baby rabbit for 2 weeks before she ( idk if it was a boy or girl they didn’t let me know ANYTHING ) died yesterday. From having a stroke. The vet told me that this place sold me an already sick bunny. They won’t give me my money back they won’t replace this bunny they are really just horrible.

Great deals on fish but tanks and stands are pricey but its a mom and pop store so it's understandable.

Love this local pet store. Great variety of fresh and saltwater fish, plants, tanks, and filtration. Some options for outdoor ponds (not Large fish). Many choices for reptiles as well. They sell and service (groom) fuzzy pets as well.
