Working with Paws4ever is a pleasure! Took our rescue to the Adult Manners Class Training class. It was great!!! The instructors Susan and Jenn were great! They helped smooth out the rough edges and we had so much fun! Well worth the time!

Susan Spinks is a skilled, patient, and enthusiastic dog trainer who helped us tremendously with our nervous and mildly reactive rescue. We initially met Susan for a 90-min. consultation after finding her in the CCPDT directory, a database of certified trainers who use science-based, positive reinforcement training methods. During our appointment, she recommended a few very manageable exercises and suggested we book another session if issues persisted. (We really appreciated Susan's approach to lessons, which we could book as needed.) Using only the training techniques from our first meeting, our dog quickly built confidence and learned many useful tricks and commands. We wanted to continue training in a group setting and were very pleased with Paw4ever's course offerings, facility, and methods. The Adult Manners Class with Susan allowed us to refine our commands, learn new ones, and bond with our dog in a new setting. Overall, we're so glad we attended a Paws4ever course and plan to enroll in future classes. Only a few months after our first meeting with Susan, as well as working with her at Paws4ever, our dog is behaving *and* blossoming into a smart, funny and, brave little Chihuahua mix--we owe it all to Susan!

My new rescue pup Honey and I completed the middle school training. We made amazing progress. We went from a shy, not sure of anything pup to a confident loving social pup and learned great behavior along the way. Highly recommend the classes! Susan Spinks is an amazing instructor. We will be back

I'm glad they are there and take good care of the animals that are there. I got my sweet dog from them several years ago. It is very hard to get in touch with them.

I've taken training classes for all the years I have had dogs (35) Susan at Paws4Ever is the best overall trainer I have had. She is clear, fun and practical in what she teaches .She uses positive evidence based techniques and is able to answer questions in many ways to make sure she is understood. She is patient and generous in offering assistance and clearly loves what she does. She teaches to a variety of levels all at once and her post class e mails are filled with great stuff so I can work throughout the week. I'll be going to P4E for as long as dogs are part of my life!

Paws4ever is a wonderful place and Susan is a great trainer! SO patient and good with puppies and people! IT is such fun in her class. You can tell that she really cares about the puppies and helping people understand HOW to train them. She reminds us that they do not really speak English! ;-) I recommend them to everyone!

Paws4Ever is a highly positive training center for all types of dogs and owners. Emphasis is on finding the needs of each dog and helping the owner guide the dog toward success in meeting training challenges. The class we took was well balanced in types of 'commands' to be learned by the owner and dog. We benefited greatly and built a base upon which we can continue to help our pups grow and mature into a happy companion all can enjoy. Thanks to the excellence of Susan Spinks and her fellow trainers -- they are very skilled, patient, kind and helpful.

Seemed like the 3 times we came we had to sit outside in a wet muddy mess. Didn't pay $130 for that.

The BEST dog training I have had! Very understandable, very easy to follow, and I'm sure hoping very effective! Well worth every single penny. Plus, you're helping out a shelter in the process! Totally worthwhile!!

Paws4ever is a wonderful organization and they provide loving care to the animals until they find their forever home. I am so grateful I found my dog, Jasmine, there. You might find your next loving companion there too!

We have loved working with Paws4ever, including private training sessions with our older dog, puppy class with our new little fur kiddo, and even puppy day camp. We have received incredible and informative support and can't recommend them highly enough!

Have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Paws4ever. From watching a friend go through the adoption process to working with several of the trainers at the Learning Center with my own rescue pup, I can say that the people at Paws4ever care deeply about their animals and go above and beyond to help both the humans and dogs/cats. My dog London and I loved the intro training course (taught with a small group of dogs, so everyone gets plenty of attention). When London started having some protective behavioral issues recently, Melanie, one of the senior dog training instructors, was just an angel on earth and worked with us one-on-one to figure out exactly what was triggering London and to help us create a strong training plan for him based on his individual needs and environment. I cannot recommend Melanie, the training center, and adoption center enough, they are by far the absolute best in the area and I would recommend them from basic training up through helping with any behavioral issues.

This organization is amazing. They pull dogs and cats from local shelters that are at risk of not finding a home and give them one until they can be adopted. No matter how long this may take. They train, house and supply medical care when needed. The staff are experts at handling the day to day needs of the animals and handle many tough situations with grace and compassion. Highly recommended.

Paws4ever is highly committed to providing the best medical care, training, and enrichment to all of their dogs and cats. Among other animal welfare organizations, Paws stands out for its emphasis on training both dogs and cats to increase adoptability. They also help local shelters by taking animals with behavioral and medical issues , providing needed treatment and training (thus making them more adoptable), and at the same time freeing up space for shelters to take in more animals! The staff are very committed to their work, great with the animals entrusted in their care, and highly personable and responsive when interacting with prospective adopting humans.

I've been coming here for 5 years merely providing human interaction with the cats. They are my 'shelter buddies' and they are treated with love, medical care, and by a staff that treats them as if they were their own beloved companions. Come down to meet a furever friend and consider volunteering your time and love of furbabies.

We took the Puppy Middle School class with Susan Spinks and it was excellent! Our puppy was really struggling with reactivity around other dogs and she went out of her way to find creative ways for him to participate. He made tremendous progress by the end of the class. We also learned a number of useful training techniques for difficult tasks like recall and jumping. Highly recommended!

I adopted my cat from Paws4ever 10 years ago and all through the years they have been amazing! They are everywhere in the community and the good they do helping take animals out of the full shelters is so needed. Some animals just need more time to find their forever homes and without a great place like Paws4ever, there would be so many animal that never find that love. Thank you so much for all your hard work!

Anessa was our instructor and she was very patient and gave great reinforcement to not only the dogs but to the humans as well! I enjoyed the class as did Millie and look forward to continuing to work on the tricks and tips we got! Hopefully I can find another class to enroll in!

P4E is such a great organization that does everything for dogs and cats. A wonderful staff that works so hard to make it happen. A great shelter and the staff work hard to find forever homes for the animals. Love P4E. Keep up the great work.

I just wanted to say thank you thank you thank you to this place. I just adopted a dog from here yesterday and she is the sweetest thing. She loves people and hugs and she could honestly be an emotional support dog (even though that is not what we got her for). She makes me happy and loves attention. She is very well behaved and loves to cuddle. But I really appreciate this place because they are super sweet, informative, and caring. They took care of my dog until I got her and I am so thankful. When we took her home she already knew certain things. She is a tad bit stubborn but she is well behaved and very happy. I love her!!!!!

Went there to introduce our dog to my sister's dog. Great play area for the dogs to get to know each other. Nice path to walk the dogs through the woods.
