Love it, call make an appointment and bam! They took care of my puppy's problems. No waiting out side hoping to see a vet maybe before they close today. (Other veterinarians place.

Love Dr Howard and his staff. Where we came from you had to schedule an appt with the vet for an examination before they would give you a rabies shot or heart worm pills or anything else. Dr Howard won't make you go to that added expense just to get what your pet needs.

Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and doc Harold was open and took a lot of time to ensure we had all of our questions answered. We are happy to highly recommend them.

We recently moved here and my dog had an issue with his paw. They were so nice and helpful. We are happy to have found them!

Dr. Howard and his staff have taken such great care of our fur babies. I have never had a vet treat my babies with so much love and care. We recently had to put our frenchie down, and it was devastating, but my heart is so grateful for the wonderful care this team gave Mika even through her final visit. She loved them, and got to spend a lot of time with them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. we miss her dearly.

Well heres as honest as it gets its a great vet but they're not cheap. doctor Howard is a great vet and person. There seems to be a little bit of an agenda to sell you meds but I think that's all vets honestly. I'd just ask for a reccomendation for any over the counter meds you can get cheaper at the store of your choice. They gave my dogs the flu vaccine when I didn't ask for them to but I can't complain im not the loudest person so it was probably hard to understand me over the phone. They were very kind and loving to my puppies.

Great animal clinic. So happy with customer service. Totally unstressful, Millie loves them. And she is a puppy and they made sure to make it a great visit for her and comfortable for her.

Very disappointing we took our cat here and they told us he had just a normal common cold and prescribed us medications. Those medications did not help with the cold at all and absolutely deteriorated his health which lead to his death. On our own research we found that the medication has known complications and side effects to animals with kidney issues, which our cat had and they knew about. We only gave him the medication for a couple days before realizing how much worse it was making him. Our cat was full of life and after taking him to see them he lost his appetite and could not take more than a couple steps at a time. And his symptoms of a “cold” never went away either. Just very sad what happened to our cat after trusting them to take care of him.

Great doctor knowledgeable and take care of our sweet puppy. Our puppy loves the staff and gets so excited when we take her here. Happy with the outcome of the visits. Happy to be bringing our puppy here. Would recommend.

This is one of the best vets I have ever been to. Dr. Howard was very friendly, positive, and informative. He treated my pets as they were his own. I have had two surgeries with him and both my pets recovered quickly and are doing great! The clinic makes you feel welcome and with the new COVID procedure, it is still efficient and the staff is is accommodating.

Dr. Howard is great! We brought are dog in and found out he tested positive for heartworm. He has been very helpful in providing us with information and seems to really care about our dogs well being. Highly recommend!

Dr. Howard is so great with my families dogs! We’ve been bringing our dogs to him since we moved here 2 years ago! Their entire staff is so friendly! I highly recommend them as a place to bring your dogs for checkups and shots and emergencies!!

Went above and beyond for my cat! After a series of unexpected events, and my cat was in need of a vet as soon as I could get her in. I called almost every vet in town, and got turned down by all of them because they were busy. I finally called Carolina Forest Animal Clinic and told them my situation. The doctor was fully booked that day, but said he would be happy to make the time for my girl. Everyone was so sweet and caring, took care of everything she needed and for a very reasonable price. My kitty was as chill coming back to me, after having all that stuff done to her, as she was when I brought her. The doctor gave me a ton of great info. Couldn't have been more happy.

The staff was wonderful and super friendly! The vet was great and I appreciated him coming out to chat with us about our new puppy and any concerns we had. You can tell everyone there truly cares! Highly recommend!

Hands down one of the best vets I have ever had. Dr. Howard genuinely cares about my pets’ individual needs. He has taken extra steps to help reduce my oldest dogs anxieties at the vet by helping to calm him before any appointment, and regularly followed-up on post procedure care of a difficult surgery. The office itself is filled with caring people who are extremely responsive to all questions I have, even outside of assigned appointments and who have never had a sour attitude. I will definitely keep going and have recommended to many of my friends who have fur babies of their own.

Very expedient and friendly service! However, some of the prices for the services were too high compared to other animal clinics.

I took my King Charles to Dr. Howard for 4 years and the initial experience was good and trusting, however recently went downhill fast! She had a small bump on her side for over a year and I was told “it’s nothing serious just a fatty cyst, kind of like a pimple”. It grew substantially and I brought her in October to get it looked at. While she was in the back getting her temperature and weight, Dr. Howard proceeded to drain it WITHOUT my permission or knowledge. He’s a vet, I’m not, so I trusted him. Flash forward to January I’m sitting in an emergency vet. His incision never healed properly and opened back up, because he did not shave the hair around his cut, NEVER scheduled a follow up, or informed me how to clean and care for it! The pimple-like cyst was actually a mass that needed to be removed in surgery, and she had a gaping hole where he had initially cut. Now, April, I take her to a different vet for her annual check up and find out she’s had tartar and gingivitis build up for a while, along with a cracked canine. Dr. Howard had ALWAYS said her teeth look good and moved on to the next topic. The new vet was shocked I was never told or showed how to clean her teeth or even given a teeth cleaning kit! I can put aside the money aspect. However, I will NOT dismiss the physical pain and health risk he’s put my dog through.

Dr Howard is amazing. Complete step up from Banfield. You can tell he really loves animals. I have 2 dogs & 2 cats and no matter which one he was seeing, he gave them massages and loved on them the whole time he was talking to me. The staff is great, although one could pretend she really doesn't hate the world, which is the impression I get from her. Bottom line is, the staff and Dr Howard are truly caring and wonderful people. *** Update: the vet tech doesn't work at this office anymore, so now I can say they are ALL fantastic.

Dr. Howard and his staff are truly caring, remarkable people. Our dog always loved to see Dr. Howard and was calm whenever we took him in. Dr. Howard worked with us until our 14 year old Chesapeake Retriever had to be put to sleep. I couldn't have asked for anyone to be more gentle, supportive and kind during this difficult time than Dr. Howard and his staff were. I would recommend Dr. Howard to anyone looking for a veterinarian for their fur babies. He is wonderful and I will be forever grateful for his guidance and understanding.

Hands down the best vet in town. They’re fast, friendly, reasonable and caring. I’ll be sad when it’s time to move and find another vet. You wouldn’t regret taking your babies here!

They are so good with our pups! I highly recommend this vet. Their prices are reasonable and their care is beyond expectations. Both of our dogs absolutely love their visits with Dr. Howard. He is SO attentive and sweet to them, and they absolutely love being around him, it’s so cute. He’s great at communicating what each visit entails, and their staff is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to about care and expectations. I couldn’t recommend them enough. ????

We love Carolina forest! Dr Howard and his staff are amazing. They are great with my pets and treat them they way I would. Pricing has always been good. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Jacksonville, with them here!

Omgosh I’m impressed!! I called last minute because my almost 13 years old Pomeranian was very sick and acted almost dead. Her vet was solid booked for days. We arrived and had checked in a few minutes before arrival. They met us outside and literally within 5 to 7 minutes Dr Johnson was at my car. Of course my furlove was doing much better because I had given her some medication about 15 hours before. She nibbled a snack they offered and was prancing down the halls. I had told them that I was pretty certain she had an acute pancreatitis from accidental ingestion of a tiny bit of pork fat, she managed to dig up from a spill. Y’all Dr Johnson asked me how much of this pill do you want, how many of that probiotic. Etc. They gave my baby everything she needs for 6 months well care. Trifexis included. The visit total was $300. They didn’t waste my money on insisting on blood tests or radiology testing. Carolina Forest AC, you will be meeting my other two furloves very soon. I don’t care if the office visit is more expensive. In the long run, this clinic is worth every penny ! Thanks so much!

Exceptionally friendly staff. They have a genuine care for your pet. After our dog had a UTI, they followed up with a phone call a week later just to check on how she was doing and if the meds were working. We are very happy to have Carolina Forest Animal Clinic as our family vet.
