There is no reason to put choker leashes on any animal if you can't control them let owner my Pitt was in pain due to ear infection and we were the 2nd ones thru door spent a hr and half here for nothing poor nurse with bad hair don't know pits and should never put a choker leash on someone animal n say their gonna pull upwards on leash to control my dog I offer to hold her they declined I left for a better vet staff.

My dog hates going to the vet. We usually have to muzzle her during appointments. She was fine here! The staff was incredible and they even let me bring my other pup in instead of leaving him in the car alone. I really like Dr. Slater and the techs that were there! This was my first time there and i will definitely be going back!

These amazing people literally saved my dogs life. They took her in and gave her a chance when others had turned us down. I cannot say enough good things about them. I never felt like I was bothering them when I called ,multiple times for updates and was so grateful that they understood how much our girl mean to us. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them. and I will never take my pets anywhere else.

Very friendly staff. I just didn't realize it was standard practice to just start running exams on my pet without asking me or informing me. They did an exam on her she had already received at a different location. I'm sure they didn't know she already had them done, but thats my point. Had they asked, or at least told me what they were doing, instead of just doing it, I wouldn't be writing this. They almost gave her another rabies vaccine this year. That one, I don't get why they weren't aware she already had it because she got it at their location.

“PEOPLE look at your bill” Took great care of my pup. He had the heartworm treatment. Includes 3 injections ($90 each) I was charged for (4) injections. Went to dispute the over charge and I was bullied and threatened with the police. Wouldn’t let me speak with Megan Slater (the dr) I paid the overcharge. I also done my homework and long behold they robbed me for $90 and bullied me. Bad business

I have been bringing my pack to animed for over 5 years now. From cats to ducks and everyone in between. When one of my own gets sick it is a very stressful situation as my pets are family. Dr slater and her staff take the edge off with the upmost respect for my feelings, care for my animals and providing me with knowledgeable information as to what may be going on in a manner I can understand. Prior to any test they may recommend, they go over potential costs which is important. I dont feel jipped out of money or taken advantage of like I have at other vets in the area. While owning an animal can be expensive, going to animed for quality care at a great price has been that expense a little lighter. Thank you for caring for all my animals as if they were your own.

Our lab came up with some issues and the old vet tossed some meds at us and sent us out the door. After speaking to one of the vet techs, Sara at this office she recommended I bring him in, and I’m so happy I did because he probably wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for them! They did an X-ray and within the hour he had surgery. The vet was amazing at diagnosing him and was incredibly reasonable with the payment and allowed me to make monthly payments! I am always seen quickly and staff is incredibly nice and knowledgeable! They truly love what they do and don’t do it for a pay check.

I take my 2 kittens and my senior 14 year old cat here and have never had a problem. They have seen my senior boy through terrible health issues and do everything they can to make sure hes heathy and happy. Their prices are extremely reasonable and their staff is beyond kind. They always follow up and know him personally which makes me trust them more than any vet around.

I cannot praise Animed enough! They're so incredibly kind and diligent. As a person who runs a local cat rescue, I can say they have been more than helpful. They do what needs to be done, they care about the animals. Your pet is more than just a number to this vets office, your pet is valued and well taken care of here! 10/10 would reccomend to anyone.

Staff wonderful Wait times ridiculous, need to hire another veterinarian to help

I have been waiting over 3 hours in my car as a walk-in. A walk-in before me, checked in 10 minutes prior. She was taken in after an hour wait. I was then (after 3 hours) called into a room. There I waited 2 more hours! In the meantime I heard people go into different rooms, then the vet. Really? Sure I was a walk-in but dang! A person with appt won't notice a 10 minute delay....like I noticed 5 freaking hours! I think there is bias here. It all depends on who you are and if you kiss up. No ego strokes then you sit and wait. People at desk/phone are rude Woman with blue hair should NOT work with the public. She just makes us more angry! Power trip! Get rid of her! I'm SO over this! Too many great offices out there

We have been using Animed on Bell Fork for a few years & cannot recommend them enough! They have always been great with my dogs & cats.

I went in at 9:45 am for a walk in, was told to wait in my car. At 11:15 I called and asked on how much longer they thought it would be. At 12:30 they called me into the room. I was seen by the nurse and was told the doctor would be in soon. An hour later I was still waiting so I asked how long and was told “soon”. It got to 2 pm and I had to walk out with my pet. I still hadn’t been seen by the doctor an hour and a half later which was 4 hours total all day. I hadn’t eaten because I was told soon, every time I asked for an update. I do not recommend going here for a walk in endless you have all day to wait around.

Been with them for a year or so. Cheaper than my last vet. The vet has been good to my dogs. Waiting time has increased since covid, if animals need meds call ahead, waited over 3 hrs last visit then communication was mixed up if my dog needed to be since by vet which increased wait time. Can be placed on hold for over 15 minutes, call usually drops after 15 minutes so you will need to call back. Health certs are not provided here, Hubert only does it.

Stephanie and Sarah were so very kind when I took my 11 year old dog there even though it was a busy day at the clinic. They treated my dog like she was there’s and I couldn’t be more thankful.

We have been taking both our great dane and Anatolian shepherd here for over a year and have never had an issue. We wanted a vet clinic who was knowledgeable in large/giant breeds and our expectations have been more than met. Not only does Dr. Slater truly care about her patients but so does the rest of the staff. When our dane had an allergic reaction to a bug bite they immediately got him in and treated him as his face was swelling. They also kept him for about an hour to make sure the swelling didn't come back and let us stay in the wait room with him. I know with covid the wait times might seem long if you're doing a walk-in but they really try to get you in as quickly as they can. And for the prices that they charge plus the remarkable service its almost a steal. Not to mention both my boys love going to the vet!

So glad I waited, but I found my furever Vet!

My experience here could not have been better, wish I could give more than 5 stars! The staff is so caring, goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and do their best to make time for you even though they are a very busy small practice. They took excellent care of my dog and patiently answered all of my questions regarding her at home care. Thank you so much for the love you showed my gal. This is definitely my new vet for future needs!!! P.S. Penny is healing wonderfully :)

The wait was extremely long, just to tell me they can’t take care of my dog. The most horrible vet I’ve ever been too.. couldn’t even refer any others. Thanks to onslow county vet, they were able to help me right away!!!

I have a lot of phone anxiety and hearing Stephanie's voice on the phone is so charming and caring and it makes it so much easier to ask questions. And get a reliable answer. The service has always been great and during covid they have managed to get as many pets taken care of as possible and have never given us any bad attitude. 10/10 and I always recommend to people who have pets.

Great vets! They offer great and affordable service and when we had to put our dog to sleep they sent us a card and everyone signed it. They literally and accurately remembered our dog. They've taken great care of all of our animals and never push us to purchase a bunch of extra services.

Dr. Slater is a great vet. That being said, appointments are never on time. They do not open on time. I had gotten an estimate for a procedure and after the procedure, I was charged $103 more than the quote. The staff was unapologetic and simply stated, you were quoted for the wrong procedure. I had noticed that the office visits and shots were a bit more than my last vet, but she retired and we had gotten a good recommendation for Dr. Slater. Be aware, if you are on a budget, that kind of difference is very problematic.

Major miss diagnosis and lack of care from the vet and her staff. Save your pet and go somewhere else!

Dr Slater and her staff worked through their lunch today to ensure my 4 foster babies were seen and cared for. They were all very nice and considerate of my babies needs. Very professional staff and excellent customer service!

Called early this morning to do xrays on my yorkie who sounds like he's literally dying trying to catch his breath, was told to come around 2pm for a walk in. Got there around 1:50 and called the front desk to find out if I should just walk in or wait in car. Was told they're too busy to see me and that no one in the office remembers talking to me this morning, and that I needed to come back another time. Its already stressful dealing with a sick dog and to drive all the way there just to be told to come back another time is highly frustrating. You guys really need to get it together... covid or not! I ended up going to Academy who were also extremely busy they took the time to help me and my sick dog.

They are so sweet with my puppy and have been super helpful. Megan the Vet is very professional and very knowledgeable. My puppy took right to her and she made us feel super comfortable.

They are so good to my dogs and very friendly ! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Really love Dr. Slater.... she’s very good and professional. I had a 1000 follow up appt for 1000, arrived at 950, got called back at 1040....vet tech Jess was rude and unprofessional. Never had a problem before so maybe it was just an off day?

Absolutely love bringing my dogs here! Such compassionate people. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants nothing but the best for their fur babies. Super affordable too!

Highly recommend Animed on Belfork! We just went there today for emergency surgery on our 4 month old puppy, and no where else offers payment plans for anything, but they did. Everywhere else we called was basically going to let our little guy die, so glad we found this place so soon, or it would have been too late. Everyone that worked there was amazing and insightful, knew what they were doing. Dr. Slater is the best veterinarian I have ever seen. So so so thankful for them and all they have done for our little family. I will definitely be coming back for both of my dogs appointments!
