HORRIBLE company ! The neglect of dogs in a Board and Train! No wonder they are trying to go all online now . ALWAYS read the reviews of a company.

They're in it for the money and YouTube fame. Just a piece of advice...any business dealing with your loved one's mental and physical well being (which is what dog training does) that refers to its industry as a "space," isn't in it for the right reasons. Using scare tactics as a marketing go-to is despicable. They market their 5 day reset using the fear every dog owner has of not being able to stop your dog when it's running towards traffic yet not one bit of recall advice in the program. It's all marketing and no real care for the owners or dogs. I would never trust this woman with my dog.

I gave 2 starts because my virtual session was SUPER informative and I was very pleased with the information I was given, however I was told in session that I would be receiving a pdf afterwards outlining the steps to E collar conditioning. …

Before you see all of the one star reviews.......Just know that the owner of the dog in question asked their friends and people on social media to go on a witch hunt for Matt and Natalie. Canine Performance handled the issue professionally and in a very calm manner. According to the actual conversation that was shown on their page and the constant communication between trainer and owner to inform them of the mysterious condition that the dog was experiencing........there was no wrong doing on their end. Matt and Natalie even took the dog to the vet themselves in an effort to find the issue, which is not what is being broadcasted by people with nothing else better to do but try to ruin someone's business. If you follow them on their social media, you will see the vast amount of knowledge they have and compassion for animals. Make your own decision and do not feed into miserable people.

We have learned so much about how to train our highly reactive dog from Canine Performance! Toby is growing every day and my husband and I know we have tools we can use for the long term.

This is the first account that has offered advice and solutions instead of what not to do when it comes to training your dog. Their emphasis on consistency, patience and no judgement has been extremely helpful!

I’ve been following Canine Performance on social media for a little over a year now after I got my rescue malinois. They have been a huge part in helping me to learn how to read and understand my dog and our relationship and have given me the tools to have clear communication with her. She is now a much calmer, happier dog and completely off leash trained. I can’t say enough good things about them and would recommend them to anyone! Just wish I didn’t live across the country from them but still their social media has been so extremely helpful.

I’m not close enough to work with Natalie and Canine Performance in person, but her wealth of knowledge she chooses to share with dog owners all over the world on her Instagram account (@canine_performance) is incredible! It sounds silly …

I will forever be sending my dogs to Natalie and Matt for training in the future. My German Shepherd pup is so handsome, but he was an absolute menace before he went to board and train with Canine Performance. They gave us excellent tools for leash walking, calm training, and everything else under the sun. I would recommend them to anyone and send my own dog back there in a heartbeat.

Natalie and Matt work so hard to provide quality, up-to-date information to help you and your dog succeed. The virtual training sessions I have had with Nat have been key in the progress made with my dog. From Instagram, to their easy-to-use app, Canine Performance is an excellent source for dog training services. P.S. I would have LOVED to do their board and train if I lived closer.

Natalie is amazing! Although we aren’t in NC, through virtual training and the Canine Performance online platform, I have access high quality & easy to understand info that you can’t just find on google. Training at home has been such a rewarding experience and changed my perspective on dog ownership as a whole. When anyone brings up needing help with training their dog, Canine Performance always my first suggestion. Seriously cannot recommend them enough!!

Natalie is incredible! After following her on social media and seeing how much amazing training content she puts online, I reached out to her about wanting to do a Board + Train. I was struggling with my new dog, specifically with isolation/separation anxiety. Natalie was immediately a calming and reassuring presence, and answered every question I threw her way. After dropping off my dog, I was able to follow along with her training on the Canine Performance IG page, and Natalie was great about sending me little updates throughout the two weeks. When I picked up my dog, Natalie blocked off several hours just to teach me how to utilize all of the tools and communication systems that she’d trained my dog to understand. In two weeks, she made a HUGE impact on my dog’s anxiety, manners, and overall confidence. When I got my dog home and she started testing boundaries or I had questions, Natalie was only a text away. It’s so nice to have someone in my corner, especially as a first-time dog owner. A huge reason why I chose Canine Performance is because I knew that Natalie would continue to be a support system long after the 2-week Board + Train program is over. Natalie truly cares about her clients and their dogs, and wants to see them succeed. Investing in a training program was money well spent, and has changed the relationship I have with my dog for the better. I couldn’t recommend Natalie and Canine Performance more highly!

They are phenomenal. I can’t say enough positive things, they’re very helpful, they break it down in a way you can understand from home and their methods WORK! I always recommend them to my friends and always go to them when I’m having troubles understanding why my dogs do what they do. Very, very good trainers!

WARNING - GRAPHIC IMAGE This review is for Natalie and Matt’s board and train program. From a vet’s expertise, the dog was left to sit in it’s own feces/vomit for 1-3 days. This resulted in these pictures and numerous vet visits costing ~ $1k (that Canine Performance refuses to cover). Not to mention that the dog almost died due to the lack of care. Natalie and Matt refuse any negligence for what they’ve done to this poor dog. On top of that, they threatened to sue if payment is not received for the other half of the dog’s “training”. Canine performance also has an arbitration clause in their contract which allows them to choose the arbitrator. This is a shady strategy by Canine Performance to avoid responsibility and take away people’s right to sue. Natalie & Matt - If you are reading this, please know that you can’t run a business that deals with people’s family and allow this sort of negligence to take place. If it does happen, you have to be accountable and put checks in place to ensure that it never happens again. Instead, you chose to bribe your social media following for good reviews with apparel (picture attached). When that didn’t work, you took down your Facebook account to hide the review. Posting this in hopes that no other dog or family has to go through this. There are better options out there.

I want to begin by saying that I've received nothing in return for my candid and honest review (other than shared knowledge that is). Natalie offers wonderful training tips, for free, over a number of different platforms. The time that it takes to produce the material that I read and grow from on a daily basis is immense and doesn't go unappreciated. As someone who adopted a highly reactive 2 year old dog, Natalie and her balanced training material have helped me in more ways than I can count. Her love and passion for our pets and helping us deepen the bond that we have with them is very apparent. So many people, like myself, reach a point where they feel defeated with their dog and don't know what else they can do to get their dog to a point where they can do seemingly "easy" and "simple" things like walk anywhere that another dog might pass within 2 blocks of. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. When training your dog, you truly "don't know what you don't know" and having someone take the time to spell it all out for you in one central place is priceless. I refused to be that person that locks my dog up all day because she loses her mind everytime she saw a dog. It was very hard and a lot of tears were shed, but we did it. My dog is now going on pack walks twice a week without any sign of a reaction and I truly don't think I would have been able to do it with the training tips and support that I received from Canine Performance. I wouldn't hesitate to send my furbaby to a board and train with Canine Performance. Thank you so much for everything you guys have done and continue to do. It's truly a shame that our society often rewards the people on the highest pedastal, without regard for the truth in the messages they speak from it.

When it comes to dog training, there’s a million resources out there and you have to be very careful where you get your information from. I was so glad when I found Canine Performance because it’s been tough finding information that’s consistent across the board. Matt and Natalie have always been extremely kind, they answer all of the questions I have, and put out so much free information to the public that many refuse to give. I’ve seen first-handedly the level of care dogs get when under their supervision, and you won’t meet someone more passionate about the training process. I cannot recommend them enough!

Natalie is one of my top favorite dog trainers that I’ve recently begun learning from! It wasn’t too long ago that I took a reactivity course from her (more so to be able to help other people not because any of my own dogs are reactive) and it was such an eye opener. She is an outstanding teacher and teaches in a way that almost anyone would be able to understand. She’s extremely relatable and down to earth, so you never feel like you can’t go to her for help. She genuinely cares about the dogs that she trains, as well as equipping dog owners and handlers around the world with the tools necessary to give their dogs the best life possible. Natalie is such an asset to the dog training world and I hope to be able to meet her in person one day!

As a dog owner who is dabbling in training my rescue GSD cross, Canine Performance is one of my go to's for quality content. I love the podcast and social media posts. They've taught me to advocate for my dog, be a consistent leader and to be patient when I become frustrated with lack of progress.
