I highly recommend Jeff Millman. Living here in Cary NC, we found ourselves adopting two dogs over a two month period. One a rescue puppy hound/pit mix and the other a mini Sheltie with anxiety. Our dog with anxiety and aggression, Bailey, benefited so much from Jeff's training and trust me we did too! Bailey's sensitivity towards noises made it difficult to for all of us to relax at times. Jeff's positive reward training helped all of us adjust and thrive in our home. Our puppy Bo, is full of energy and the two dogs feed off each other. Jeff helped us learn how to help them get along, go in their kennels, and how to reduce the anxiety and aggression. Jeff's caring nature, explanations and training tips are invaluable. Jeff was a lifesaver with my golden retriever/cocker spaniel mix puppy, Clark. With a new puppy, it can be a little overwhelming to make sure you are raising a sweet, obedient, well-trained dog. Jeff was amazing with our puppy. He helped us understand our puppies particular behavior/personality which was quite unique indeed, lots of energy!!..He gave us instructions on how to prevent jumping when greeting, basic crate training in an easy way to understand, leash training and interactions with other dogs. In particular our dog early on tended to resource guard food and treats and we were able to attend that issue early on that now today he does not show any aggression whatsoever when eating or chewing on his favorite bone/toy/food.Thank you Jeff. We are so thankful for Jeff’s expertise and patience with our dog, Frannie. We adopted Frannie from a rescue over 1.5 years ago and she is such a sweet dog. However, she has major anxiety around new people coming over to the house, which includes door knocking and door bell ringing as well. Her response is to bark and bark and bark and it really takes a long time to calm her down. But after just one session with Jeff, we began to notice an immediate difference in Frannie’s behavior. Jeff showed us several different methods to practice with her so that she would develop a positive association to new people entering the house or ringing the door bell. The best thing about what we learned is how easy it is for us to practice (and of course how much Frannie loves the exercises as well since they involve treats). Just one day after our session with Jeff we were able to invite a friend inside and Frannie hardly barked at all. We have continued to practice what he taught us everyday and each day we see an improvement in Frannie’s behavior. Jeff is clearly an expert in what he does - he’s knowledgeable, gentle and patient with dogs, and knows how to teach these things so lay people (like myself) can easily understand. I will recommend Jeff to anyone looking for an excellent dog trainer.

Can't say enough great things about our time with Jeff! We needed to regain order in our house with our 18 mo old toddler and 5 year old goldendoodle. Jeff taught us proactive training techniques that are directly impacting the way we interact with our pup and the way our pup and toddler interact already in a positive nature. Jeff did a great job quickly 'connecting' with both me and my 2 year old rescue dog. He gave me some really good (and effective) quick tips on how to help Winston not reach his tolerance threshold and growl at certain unfamiliar people (like my sister). Jeff is an incredible trainer - one who helps you see the world through your dog's eyes and improves communication between you and your furry friend.
