This place is very unorganized, especially the girl who books appointments (Kaitlyn). My mother called yesterday to make an appointment for her cat as a new patient since she just moved to the area and her cat has been having issues. Kaitlyn told her to come the next day at 4:00. We show up for the appointment, call to let them know we were there, and she proceeds to say that her cat does not have an appointment. My mother checked her phone to make sure she showed up to the correct vet she called the day prior, and it was. She never received a call from another vet saying that she missed an appointment, so that confirms that we were at the right place. It’s very frustrating when you speak with someone and they give you an appointment date and time just for you to show up and “not be on the calendar”. Do not recommend.

The vets here are absolutely amazing. They come with such wonderful perspective - treating as holistically as possible, with as little medical or pharmaceutical intervention as possible. They always start with trying things that may be more gentle first. Their communication is wonderful. The staff is amazing. We love love Dr. Mac and love love Dr. Martinez and love love Dr. Chapman!!!!!!! They have cared for my dog Lucy and continue to care for Ethel, Veda and our Cat Meatball. Best. Vet. Ever.

I love the compassion and personal relationships we have built there

I have used these guys for over twenty years. My elderly cat was dying and I called arrange to have him euthanized. I felt like the person on the phone was more concerned about money and less concerned about my cat dying alone. I was told call when I arrive in the parking lot, provide credit card information and they will come outside and take the pet inside. How cold and impersonal! Due to Covid they are not allowing pet owners inside. I do not understand why they can't use the outdoor area on the side of the building for pet owners to at least be with their dying pet until they are sedated. I believe their front desk employees need to be trained on being more sensitive in cases like this. I have always liked the doctors here but this issue has really made me rethink using them in the future.

In and out. No worries. And my cat liked them too.

Dr. Mac is the best doggie doctor .... he makes sure I get to play play play and keeps my toenails clipped....it's called a pedi pedi. Two arf arf's for HVC !

Hillsborough vet has gone above and beyond to take great care of my cats. The staff is super friendly andcommunicates well. The prices are also super adorable. I've never been caught off guard by a bill like I have at other vets. I'm also super impressed with the safety precautions they've put in place during the pandemic. They are truly wonderful!

Dr Mac is a great Veterinarian! We have been seeing him at his practice for over 20 years.

I love ALL the staff here- the docs, the techs, everyone!! I have taken both of my rescues here for the past 7 years and they always treat us like family. My parents have several dogs on their farm and they use a different vet. When one of their dogs was sick and it was "that" time, they wanted to have someone come to the home instead of going to an office- their vet wouldn't help and wouldn't provide any guidance. I called Hillsborough Vet, my vet, just in hope of getting a couple resources but they went above and beyond to help my family and we are all forever thankful. I cannot recommend them enough!

Dr. Amanda Chapman is amazing with my older kitties. She goes above and beyond researching some of the weird health findings they have come up with and saved one of my babies' 9 lives by not giving up on him. I'm so grateful for her. The front office staff is friendly and helpful.

Staff are friendly, appts needed but will accommodate an emergency. Not outrageous pricing. Been a client for 8yrs

Great service! We were in town visiting family and our little mini dachshund was stung by a bee. The HVC saw her right away and treated her like royalty. Dr. Macdonald was excellent. Highly recommend them!

I have been using Hillsborough Vet for 20 plus years and Dr. Mac plus staff are the best. They have helped me through pet loss more than once and have given above and beyond the care expected. This group is like family and I cannot imagine ever using another service.

Dr. McDonald has been caring for my animals for over 20 years. Such a wonderful and kind group of people work here. It shows that they truly care about their customers and their pets.

Nice enough people, nothing extraordinary. Unfortunately, they charge three times as much for a neutering or spaying as any other vet in the area. That certainly doesn't say much for their social consciousness. We'll go elsewhere.

Great place. Very nice and attentive. Also, as far as I can find, cheapest way to neuter a cat in town. I called 4 different vets in the area and they were the cheapest by about $100! Been in business 30 years so must be doing something right. We will go back.
