Flea treatments are very expensive. Would rather have gone to the vet for the good stuff. Adopt, don't shop

Pretty hood pet shop snd have dtuff you cant get at petsmart especially fish. Just overpriced and probably shouldn't have puppies

We recently purchased a puppy from Bill’s. While we absolutely love and adore her there’s just some things not sitting right with me. With our purchase, we received a pamphlet of the breeder. My husband pointed out how they have a lot of different breeds. Upon his notice, I looked up the breeders (BJ’s and Guys, LLC) and if you look them up, INSTANTLY a horrible puppy mill. Called one of the “worst of the worst in America”. Now, obviously while purchasing a dog from a pet store (we only did because we needed certainty of a small dog and our hearts couldn’t say no to our sweet pup) you have the chance of a puppy mill. The part that upset me the most, was a comment from a worker telling me not to purchase anything for the puppy from PetSmart because they “abuse their animals”…as if a puppy mill isn’t far worse than “not quarantining them”. We love our pup more than anything. We are very thankful we have her and for the help we had in the store. But, if I can offer any advice, ask who the breeders are and research before you buy.

Depressing atmosphere and horrible customer service, one particular lady told me and my girlfriend that we could not see a puppy unless we intended on buying as she rolled her eyes, but it was the way she said it that almost had me saying some pretty terrible things to her, the most snobby employee I have ever come across in any store I've ever visited. DO NOT visit this store for any reason even if you plan on buying something, they might show SOME respect and enthusiasm for customer service if you intend on purchasing something that DAY. This place should be shut down or the employees should be fired!

I do not recommend bills pet shop of havelock, we were interested in holding one of the dogs to see their personality and were told we couldn’t hold it unless we were gonna buy it. If you want a good experience go to bills pet shop of new Bern. They will provide you a much better experience. The workers here are rude and unhelpful.

Our family has been a LONG time customer. Spent THOUSANDS of dollar over the last 2 years with you guys both in the new bern store and in the havelock store. From purchasing all kinds of animals and food. Have always been loyal to staying in home town business's. However, Today was absolutely the worst customer service experience I've EVER had anywhere and it has me questioning if I will ever go back...

Are usually love this place but today there was this girl who worked in the fish department Emily which had a major attitude didn’t want to help the customers and treated the customers like they where idiots I would recommend the place just don’t deal with Emily

Always have what I need and very knowledgeable. The only problem I ever had was one of their employees have a nasty attitude and she is very pushy when you tell her no. Other than that I have no problem

I’m a beginner with aquariums, I purchased a new 75 gallon tank for fresh water fish. I went to the Havelock store to purchase some fish and for advice on what types of fish I should put in my aquarium. I spoke with “Billy G” (name on my receipt). I explained I’m a beginner, my tank size, Ph was 7.2, ammonia & nitrates were 0 ppm. Bill recommended several types of fish, so I went with 1 Oscar, 2 Black Convicts and 4 African Cichlids. Less than 24hrs later one African Cichlid was dead and the other was missing. I was told by Adrian that I needed to bring in the dead Cichlids and a water sample in order to get store credit for the loss. They checked my water sample, it was good…. no contamination (or new tank syndrome) that could have caused the fish to die. But since I was only able to recover one fish they would only give me “store credit” for one fish. After talking to 2 other store employees at this location and doing my own research. There’s a strong possibility that the Oscar killed both fish and the missing Cichlid was eaten. Yet, Bills pet shop refused to give me store credit for both fish and would only give me 50% store credit if I was to return the Oscar. Bill recommended these types of fish, sold me the fish, one died and one went missing… which appears to have been caused by the Oscar Bill sold me. Two if his employees contradicted what Bill recommended as far as these fish being compatible. I asked for a “refund” for all three as these are the fish Bill recommended, but was only offered “store credit” for “1” cichlid and 50% “store credit” for the Oscar (totally not right). If you’re new to this hobby, do your own research (don’t always trust the so-called expert). Most importantly, beware of Bill’s Pet Shop, they will give bad advice and not treat their customer fairly.

We came in at 6:45. We were ready to buy one of the puppies when an employee came in. She was rude and ugly. Instead of asking if we were interested she took the puppy from us..... we were ready to spend 1500....... yall lost a sale because of an attitude and an employee more interested in going home then finding a home for this puppy
