So glad I found them, I have been having issues with my puppies dealing with aspiration pneumonia due to them but being able to nurse directly from mom, and we had 2 pups to pass due to nothing being open during the holidays and not really knowing what to do. My Little Milagra has been battling but they have shown the utmost care and support with me and my pup baby during this time. They are reasonable and have shown that they truly care and are not just about charging you outrageous prices they have kept my Milagra for the day twice with only charging for any meds she needed. They even called to check on her to see if she was doing ok♥️ which I never had done before. I definitely recommend taking your fur babies here they have truly been a life saver and so far all of the staff has been amazing ????

Love the staff. They ate efficient and quick once you're called in Con is there is no appts. It's all walk in. So be there for 7 am to sign in. Or come back about 1130 and sign in for the afternoon. Other wise it can be a long wait but it's worth it The prices are fair and even though you're outside because efficient covid restrictions , they call you and involve you in the appt. I recommend using this hospital

My Royal and Sugarcoat 2 Toy Yorkies! They treat them like babies, and is prompt in treatment and excellent on the phone help.

Dr. Mike saved my dog's life on Monday! They don't do surgeries on Mondays either and he made an exception for my sweet girl because she was so sick. The staff and doctors are amazing. Highly recommended this vet. I won't be going anywhere else for my pets.

Even under COVID-19 restrictions they were great.

Long waits due to covid and they're always busy, but that's the only negative thing I have to say. The Sylkies, both of them are fantastic and the staff does their absolute best despite all the covid restrictions and negativity from clients who get impatient with the wait times. It's a weird world we live in with covid, let's take time to look at the positive, great veterinarians and a support staff who have compassion for people and their pets. I hope to be able to go back to in building visits soon, but until then I'll still keep coming here because locally they're the absolute best.

We left a veterinary hospital, that we had been with for 29 years, during a pandemic while my precious pup battled cancer. I never have regretted a moment of moving our babies over to your care. Dr and Dr Silkey have shown thr utmost professionalism and compassion during our difficult loss.The staff was always amazing and understood our grief. It's so difficult to make end-of-life decisions. As a medical professional to humans, I always feel they have given the best possible medical care and spend quality time explaining all of the options. The ability to be seen the same day is what brought us to Armistead. The prices have always been affordable. I was pleasantly surprised how affordable the vaccines were for our labrador. Each time we use your services, the low bill really surprises me. They are truly much lower than our previous vet. We are thrilled to have made the move into your care. Thank you for caring for us.

The actual check-in staff and clinical team were so great. The Veterinarian was super kind and thorough. Thank you all ???? (Initial review: As a first timer here, I was unfamiliar with the walk-in/check-in process. Naturally, I walked in the clinic thinking that was the way to check in before waiting in my car. For the front office person to say “What are you here for?…There’s a woman checking in in the parking lot, go back outside.” I understand it gets crazy, I really do. But calm down and talk to people like you’d yourself like to be addressed. I did not come in rude, abrasive or expecting any special treatment. I simply didn’t know)

They were great. Dr. Vera Adams was so good to my toy poodle, Lil'Beau. She diagnosed his problem and now he is fine I can't say enough about Armistead Avenue Vet. I highly recommend them.

I’ve been generous in the number of chances I’ve given Dr. Silkey to convince me that he is competent and fit to continue practicing and properly diagnosing patients.The final straw though was his inability to detect and recommend accurate/appropriate treatment for feline bladder cancer. Less than a month after he misdiagnosed my pet with a UTI and prescribed antibiotics, her condition tanked and a second (much more compassionate, competent, thorough, and ACCOUNTABLE) professional correctly identified the source of her symptoms. Less than a month after Dr. Silkey consistently failed to diagnose the bladder cancer (three total visits with him in the span of weeks), our pet had to be put down. Also, my experiences here have mirrored others where charges are not fully and explicitly explained up front, and you are truly nickel-and-dimed at every corner. Pay attention to how you and your pet(s) are treated here the first time, and at the first sign of something not sitting well with you, consider other options. You owe it to your pets!

can't use the bathroom and stay with out furry family member. Still on lock down while the rest of the world is not. I use to think highly of them but that ship has sailed. Sad!

Yes, the first come, first serve wait can be long, but my pets get excellent care here and that's really what matters.

I love the doctors there they took very good care of my dog Onnex Ford of 19 years until his last day on March 16th 2021 my dog has been a patient there for many years and I was never disappointed in the services I would recommend anyone to this Animal Hospital!!!
