No frills kennels if that's what you are interested in, rather than the overpriced doggy hotels/spas around. Our husky stayed for 1 week and no issues. Owners were friendly and welcoming. $20 a night can't beat that.

Don't go here. We took our kitty to board while we were on vacation because he needed meds. I don't know what they did. I don't know if he got his meds, if they held him down or what. When we got him home, he hid in the corners, backed away from us and would not eat one bite of food. He drank water and that is all. He'd lost 2 pounds out of the 9 he weighed. Took him to the vet when we realized we could not get his appetite back and they put him on pain meds and appetite stimulant. He still isn't eating well and won't socialize with us like before. It was like night and day. There were way too many cats in the cat part. Stuff was stacked all over. Just not good. I should have took our kitty and left.

We have boarded our dogs at many different facilities and this is our preferred place! The staff is friendly and caring. We have a large fenced in yard at home so the fact that the dogs have access to a run at this facility is a huge plus! Would absolutely recommend boarding your dogs here!

cant board a male dog because he is male even though they take the dogs out individually and do not share kennels with other dogs

I have been taking my dog Tinker, to White Oak Country Kennels for a little over a year now! Probably 6 times all together & have not had a single issue, I saw two reviews claiming that Carol (the owner) "killed" their dogs, which Carol would never do. Included in those reviews people admitted she went out of her way to get those dogs to the vet. If you were to trust anyone with your dogs it would be Carol. She has over 16 years of experience, if you look at White Oak Country Kennels website, it will give you a list of animal organizations that she is partnered with. She takes animal care very seriously! Anytime I'm worried about my pup (because she tends to have separation anxiety) I can call her and she will give me a full report on how my pup is doing! She treats these animals as if they were her own! herself & her daughter spend quality one on one time with each dog! If my dog was being mistreated in anyway, she wouldn't get excited when we walk in there, my dog goes straight into her kennel wagging her tail with no hesitation and sometimes I'll come to get her and she won't even want to leave. Whether it comes to pet advice or pet sitting Carol & White Oak Country Kennels is the place to go!

I am so impressed with the care our cats and dog received at White Oak Country Kennels. Carol, the owner, observed signs of a medical condition in one of our cats that we had been unaware of. Because Carol was so on top of things, observant and caring, our cat is now happier and healthier. Our dog was happy, relaxed and in great shape when we picked him up. We're very pleased and happy to recommend this kennel!

When I dropped my puppy off the owner was incredibly rude to me claiming I had not sent immunization records, when in fact I had emailed them to her and still had the record of the email. My 4 month old puppy jumped on the owner out of excitement and the owner yelled at her and pushed her down telling her to get off... I know dogs shouldn't jump, but she is a puppy... I almost left and found another boarder since the whole situation was just bizarre, but didn't have time as we were leaving for a trip. Upon picking her up, the owner was like a different person, very nice, accommodating, cordial, everything a business owner should be. I thought she was having an off day when I dropped her off, but I see others have had similar experiences. I get the impression that she is only professional to people she knows personally and treats newcomers like a threat. My pup was clawing at me to get out of there. I will not ever use this kennel again.

Just left this suppose kennel facility and Carol, one of the owners were very unprofessional and disrespectful. Called my mother an ignorant b**ch and was beyond rude to us. We went to drop our dog off and she was rude by shoving Ozzy into the cage. She got upset because Ozzy was a little nervous and scared and began to sniff around and she grabbed on his leash stating she is the pack leader not him and he needed to know that asap. We should have read the reviews before even thinking about leaving our baby there. The place wasn't even that great. Those poor dogs looked miserable there. She was yelling at them to be quiet and kicked the crate doors in an attempt to shut them up when they barked. I wish that I could have saved all of those dogs. If your dog is there NOW, PICK THEM UP! SAVE THEM FROM THIS PSYCHO WOMAN!!!

Horrible. Wish I could give negative stars. At vet now with my puppy. When I picked her up her neck was full of puss. Skin was raw. They tightened her collar and must have dragged her or something. Said they did not notice. Wish I knew how to post a picture. My poor little girl.

Negligent in the care of their animals. A friends dog was killed by another dog in their care while they were being boarded there.

We leave our dogs at White Oak Country Kennels with complete confidence. The owners are on-site, and truly love animals. Our little guys get excited about going there for a stay. They are able to stay together in the same run, which some facilities don't allow. They have both indoor and outdoor space. (We can't stand the thought of their being in a crate for days as they would be in some boarding situations.) White Oak Country Kennels is a very clean facility, and they even wash our pups' "blankies" before sending them home. We know our pets will be taken care of here as if they were family.

I am really disappointed. Drop off is from 8 to 1 and we showed up at 8:15 and they are closed and when we called they didnt answer. My husband and I are really frustrated because we know nobody in NC seeing as we are new to to the area …

Excellent place. Small, and very well run. Would trust them with my dog any time. I like the fact that the kennels open to a yard where the dogs can play together. The owner gave my dog special attention when he first boarded by sitting with him in his kennel until he was familiar with her. Owner should be applauded for the rescue work that she does, also.

I had a horrible experience leaving my 3 babies at white oak. When I arrived to drop them off, one of my dogs was able to get out of her leash. The owner screamed at me as if I intended to let her off leash. The road (which is way too close to the business) had heavy traffic. I wanted to keep things calm so my girl would not run that direction. The owner continued screaming and made it very difficult to get her attention. I was also holding on to my shepherd mix and my fiancée was holding our beagle, who we had rescued just a couple of months ago. I asked the lady to help but she just stood in the doorway yelling that she had cats out. I finally was able to get control of the one that got loose but could not calm things down as the lady continued screaming. Eventually I was able to get both dogs under my control but was weary of leaving them. Unfortunately by this time I felt I had no choice. We took the dogs inside but the owner was still rude and explained that she was just scared. So we left for our vacation but worried the entire time that our pups were being mistreated. We ended up leaving at 5am Saturday morning knowing that we could not trust someone with such anger issues with our dogs. When we arrived at the kennels, I attempted to be cordial but the owner still acted very hateful. I've learned my lesson that it isn't worth it to save a few dollars and leave your animals with someone who is battling demons. Our dogs were distraught and I am still very upset that I did not cancel the trip and take our dogs somewhere that provided a safe, friendly environment. I will NEVER return to white oak and will make sure to deter others from doing so. I would be very weary of what she does to those animals behind closed doors. Anger has no place in our lives and we can't trust someone who is not able to handle situations such as this. Please think twice before leaving your animals at white oak. For a few more dollars you can find a much better environment. To the owner: you need anger management classes. I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with your terrible attitude in the future.

Terrible place. The owners were disrespectful and unprofessional. You get what you pay for if you're looking for a place cheaper than others to board your dogs. Shop around. Stay away from these two horrible women.

White Oak Country Kennels have been very responsive to our boy and his needs. He's an older dog and a bit of a finicky eater. But he eats all his food when he is boarded there. His run is open most of the time for him to walk in and out and "do his business". The owners live onsite which is a big relief to us. This is the only place we have ever boarded him where he does not shake and shiver before we take him through the door. He seems to want to go in! Highly recommend White Oak Country Kennels.
