Very disappointed in the communication and customer service that I received when I boarded my 2 greyhounds over the Christmas holiday. To begin, this facility charges at a premium price for their services. We were charged for a 3 day/night stay when they were there for only 2. It is stated in their billing guidelines that when animals are not picked up prior to 12 noon, an additional day would be charged. However, on December 26th they only offered pick-up from 4p-6p and conveniently charged us for an additional day. It was not communicated to us in anyway that they would be charging as such. This should have been verbally communicated. I wanted to pick my animals up prior to 12N but couldn't. If I had known that they intended to charge an additional day, I could have stayed out of town an additional night. When I spoke to the manager about my feelings, she acted as though she was doing us a fvor by letting us pick them up at all. Upon further research, when boarding your animal at the Ranch, there is no pick up on Sundays. So, if boarding for a weekend trip, no pick allowed on Sunday which gives the Ranch another opportunity to add charges. To add, when we picked up our dogs, they reeked of urine. We are talking about 2 greyhounds who are honestly never bathed because they have little fur and no odor. The manager that I spoke with was desmissive and uninterested in my concerns. The 2 night stay at the Ranch was absolutely not worth the $483.00 that we were charged. It seems all about the money to these folks.

Today was our first visit to see Dr. Zurowsky. She was absolutely fabulous. She listened to every concern about my dog with behavioral issues and addressed them in a way that was easy to understand. She was patient and kind and made what could have been a very stressful encounter one that was easy! She is positive and informative. Dr. Z clearly loves her job and all of the animals that walk through her door! We will be back!

Love doc Z and her crew! Everyone is so kind here! Camren is such a sweetheart as well. This place makes you feel like your animals are their own!

Thanks to their misdiagnosis and concern to make sure I paid the bill my dog died on the way to the emergency hospital. My dog didn’t just die he suffocated and suffered in my arms in the middle of 40. The vet said he is not in distress and this isn’t life threatening. I am so sick I trusted her. My heart is broken. I’ve been a customer for 12 years. But I’ve never had any major needs till last week and they failed. I don’t think I could even pull in that parking lot if I tried. And when I called crying and hysterical Dr. Bower said they were crossing their fingers for me. She was so snarky and cold. My heart is broken and I will never forget how they let my sweet boy down. He didn’t deserve to die that way.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Carolina Ranch Resort! I had a personal emergency that required me to leave Raleigh very last minute without my two golden retrievers. I had never boarded my two boys before so I was extremely nervous. Carolina Ranch was my first pick and they so graciously made room for us, despite the last minute nature of the reservation. Upon arrival I was thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness of the building and the friendliness of the staff! They helped to alleviate some of my worries and I felt very confident that my two boys would well cared for. Boy was I right! One day into my trip, I got a call that they had noticed a small rash on the inside of my youngest boy's ear while they were checking in and playing with my dogs. They got my consent and then took him over to the veterinary hospital side. I got a call not too long later after the vet checked him out & all was good. This made me 1000% certain I made the right choice in deciding where to board my dogs. I am so thankful that Carolina Ranch is an animal hospital AND a resort! I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a large facility with many services, from boarding to training classes to grooming to medical. We will definitely be back in the future! Special shoutout to Nicole and Becca at the front desk for being so friendly and patient!

I’ve been bringing my dog Cocoa to Carolina Ranch since March of 2021. We’ve had an excellent experience with every visit from training, to boarding, to veterinarian and technician visits. Cocoa has overcome so much of her anxiety and is legitimately excited to come to Carolina Ranch because of the expertise, professionalism, and fear-free/positive methods practiced there. I cannot say enough great things! Highly recommend! Thank you all so much for continuing to provide excellent care and services for our family during such difficult times.

Horrible customer service, they act like they are doing you a favor. Not recommended, small businesses treat you much better.

Sam has been grooming our pups for quite some time. We are extremely pleased with her work! She is very warm and caring! I am sure that Carolina Ranch knows what a great asset she us! Thank you Sam! ????❤️????

I will start off by saying I’ve never let any of my dogs stay for days with anyone that was not family or friends. With that being said my puppy seemed to have a great time at boarding. I would recommend boarding to anyone worried as i was. Negatives: They do not offer live video monitoring. For you to check in while you are away. PLEASE OFFER THIS IN THE FUTURE!! SIDE NOTE: Due to Covid they did not offer a tour of the facility. You just have to view the pictures available online. I am hoping this will change this policy soon so people can view where their animal will be staying.

My ordinary boarder was full so I booked a night for my dog at Carolina Ranch. Dropped her off Thursday afternoon and picked her up Friday afternoon. I was quoted $48, which was high for one night, IMO but was twice assured it would be $48 if I picked her up Friday afternoon. When I picked her up Friday, they charged me $96. For 27 hours! When I complained, they were dismissive & rude. My dog was anxious and drank several bowls of water when we got home. A bait n switch rip-off and the worst dog boarding experience I’ve had.

I am very pleased with the professionalism of the staff each time I visit the business. I take my dog to be groomed by “Sam”. I am pleased with the care she give my dog. She always talk with me before & after his grooming visit. Samantha verifies services to be rendered as well as making sure I was satisfied with the services. I highly recommend this place!!

I had previously taken my puppy for a training class at Carolina Ranch which was a big success. So when we were going out of town for a week at Christmas, we decided to board both of our dogs there. We had to cancel a couple weeks before because of Covid. We called and notified them and they said they would keep our $60 deposit for a future purchase, that they could not refund the deposit. We just got an email from Carolina Ranch with a sale on heartworm pills so I called to order some from them with our $60 credit. Carolina Ranch wanted us to bring both dogs in for a checkup to "establish a doctor patient relationship" before they would prescribe. We take our dogs for regular care at Banfield. Carolina Ranch would not call Banfield to get the prescription. So, not only do they still have our $60, we have to spend money with them to ever get the credit. Doesn't sound very professional to me. I would not recommend Carolina Ranch.

My first great experience with Carolina Ranch was in December 2019. They were able to take my dog Major in for boarding on very short notice, after a trainer we had agreed to board him with said they would be unable to take him in on the very night we were supposed to leave on a 3-week trip out of the country. Not only did they agree to board him at the very last minute, but the staff was able to easily handle some of his behavioral issues (reactivity and wariness towards strangers). This turned what was an extremely stressful situation for us, which would have potentially caused us to cancel our travel plans altogether, into a pleasant experience. We were highly impressed with the quality of service and the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, and Major had a wonderful 3 weeks at Carolina Ranch with lots of play time and comfortable accommodations. They also did a great job communicating with us and emailing us updates and photos every day, which was especially important to us because we were abroad at the time. Our most recent experience with Carolina Ranch was just a few days ago, when we had to board Major for a few days while we headed out of town to visit family. Just like the last time, the experience was smooth from start to finish (special thanks to Kandice for handling him with ease!), and when we picked Major up he was happy, healthy, all caught up on vaccinations and medical checkups, and freshly groomed. Thanks to Carolina Ranch and all the amazing staff for taking great care of Major!

I had taken my dog here for an ultrasound while pregnant. They told me 5 puppies. Eventually 12 were born by emergency c-section. I brought her back for a TCI (artificial insemination) that didn't take. After taking her to another vet, we realized Carolina Ranch's vet had done the procedure at the wrong time. Even after doing all of the recommended tests - that said it was the wrong time to try. I realize it's how the dice fall sometimes but the office was completely unwilling/unable to give me any explanation. I also felt the front desk was giving me any answer to make me go away without checking with the vet or with records. If you're a breeder, take your dog to a specialist. A reproductive vet. Bringing my dog here has cost me about 6500+ in unnecessary vet bills. Emergency c-section and aftercare and then a failed TCI... Which is successful 85% of the time when done by someone who knows what they're doing.

Fantastic and professional vet Reproductive services! Dr. Bauer and team assisted us with pre-breeding health testing, cycle testing, ultrasound, and xray. Very accurate. :-) 8 beautiful and healthy Standard Poodle puppies were born. I would absolutely recommend for these services.

This was my first visit at Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital & Resort and I thought the staff was extraordinarily friendly and very professional. I thought Dr. Oliver was super knowledgeable and patient! I will definitely come back to Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital & Resort for future check-ups!!

We take both of our dogs (Dixie and Scarlett) to Carolina Ranch for all of their Vet needs. Doctor Harris always does a great job with them, and gives me complete and professional feedback on their status. The biggest thing about our visits is how much Doctor Harris seems to really care about our dogs and how much time she spends making sure that I have all the information I need to make sure they are properly taken care of.

We brought our boxer in yesterday bc he suddenly became unable to walk. Dr Oliver, as always, went way above and beyond to make us comfortable, explained the situation so we had a clear picture, and involved us in the plan of care. I will forever be grateful to Dr Oliver and the other doctors at the Ranch For caring for our 2 dogs during the 2 years we’ve lived in this area. What I cannot condone or understand is why I was not allowed to go into the building with my baby in a crises situation. I was told that because I am a nurse and care for COVID patients, I am considered an exposure risk. Healthcare workers are probably the safest people to be around. We take the most precautions, wear masks and other PPE the entire 12+ hours we are at work and have had a natural tendency to wash our hands and avoid risky situations. We are expected to put ourselves at risk for our community, but situations like this highlight the fact that our community does not always see us as people, who also have needs and require services. I was not asked if I was symptomatic, just told no, you are not allowed in the building. Many of my colleagues have taken to lying about what they do for a living, to avoid situations like these. So I was punished twice- once for being a nurse, once for being honest. Thankfully we were able to take our boy home. But what if the situation was such that he had taken the walk over the rainbow bridge? Would I have been denied the opportunity to comfort him through that transition? I understand the protective intent behind the policy, and I am eternally grateful for the doctors at the Ranch, but after this experience it may be time to find a new vet to go to.

It is always a joy to take our Beagle, Doc, to the Ranch. It is the Canine equivalent of Cheers. Everyone knows and loves Doc. All of the Vets and staff have treated our boys (Doc and Pete, may he rest in peace) well and genuinely care for them.

We have been very happy with the services we've received from Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital. The front desk and checkout staff is very friendly everytime we've been to appointments. They've been able to work us in on the same day that we've called- which was especially helpful last year when we found an abandoned kitten. We've seen Drs. Davidson, Perry and Olliver and would highly recommend them. They both took their time with us, never making us feel rushed. We appreciate their expertise and feel confident recommending them to anyone who may be in need of wonderful veterinarian services.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!!!!!! My poor dog received this injury while staying here yesterday being groomed. We had to take her to the emergency vet last night!!!!!!! I still have not heard from this place even though I have left messages and sent emails - I will be taking this as far as I can to make it known no one should take there animals here.

I am a lifer when it comes to pets. Currently, I have two dogs, a cat, and a parrot. Because I can't have children, they are my babies. Some of you know how that is. :) In addition to being a pet owner, I was at one time a professional in the dog world. I have been to a lot of veterinarians in my life, but I have never been to a place I like better than Carolina Ranch. I've been going there since they opened. It's hard to please everybody all the time, but I have never had a bad experience. They have always been concerned about the needs of my pets...and me. Dr. Oliver is our regular vet. She is bubbly, personable, and willing to discuss treatment options. Recently, I saw Dr. Harris and she was also very nice. Going to an animal hospital is like going to a regular hospital. If the doctor you see first is not a good fit, try another one. As for the staff, they juggle a lot of balls. If they happen to drop one, give them another chance. There's a lot going o behind that desk! :)

Took my Great Dane here for a check up and a quote for neutering & micro chipping. The veterinarian was very thorough over the phone and was able to answer any questions I had. The quote for future services was right in line with what I've read online others have paid.

We already go to the training group session, so we decided to take advantage of the veterinary services. Carolina Ranch was so kind and professional. We are glad to have made this our health go-to for our dog.

We took our 11 week old puppy to Carolina Ranch for her first vet visit and to get health certified for the breeder. Covid restrictions made this a little out of the ordinary, but the staff came to the car to get Trixie and took her in. Within about 30 minutes, Dr. Olliver called me and we talked through everything that had been done. She made some excellent recommendations, and we will go back in two weeks for another set of vaccinations. Everyone we encountered from making the appointment to checking out over the phone was professional, courteous and made us feel part of their family right away. So lucky to have this facility and this team in our backyard!

We were recommended to Carolina Ranch by our friend when we relocated to NC and got a new puppy. Not only have they gone above and beyond with general care for our four legged family member, but they are always available when calling with questions or emergency visit. Our dog is over a year now and the staff has always been professional and loving to us. Going from a home with no experience with a GSD there have been a lot of questions and many appointments with questions that the technicians and vets have both risen the occasion with answers and solutions. Not only are we going to continue taking our dog here but I have our entire neighborhood going there as well. Best marketing is a well behaved healthy dog!

This place is all about money. Don’t be fooled by the fancy building. My baby boy died here in the hands of them. They never even called to apologize and when I went to pick him up they didn’t even remember or have in his record he had passed. Cold blooded for sure. RIP MY BUDDY BOY.... I will see you again. And miss you terribly.
