Small Paws is great. Dr. Temple is wonderful. She always takes good care of my pets. I've had a few emergencies over the years and she always tries to help when she can. The staff is amazing. They are so friendly and they act like they really care about my pets. I'll keep bringing my animals to Small Paws because I know they will be in good hands there.

Excellent veterinary clinic. All personnel have been very friendly and I feel like they treat your pet as if it was one of their own. We had to euthanize one of our dogs recently due to a neurological issue and they were very caring and compassionate. I highly recommend.

I called in for an emergency appointment for my piggy. Ms. Morgan (Good Morgan) answered the phone and made scheduling a breeze. I was able to get a same day appointment. Although we had to drive 45 minutes to the facility it was worth it. Check in was easy, the vet techs were amazing. They were so gentle with my little guinea. And Dr. Miller....OMG was amazing! She handled my little girl with care, and performed the exam with as little stress as possible for piggy. A definite return for all our vet needs.

Such a great place to take your small dog or cat.

Small Paws has the best vet and the best Staff in Elizabeth City

The staff is kind & professional. However, if you feel your pet may have a serious illness go directly to “BluePearl Pet Hospital in VA Beach” (that’s where Robin will send you after a few trips to her office first). I was told I would receive a call about my cats throat swab results on Monday.. unfortunately, the office is closed on Monday’s and we did not receive a call, ended up going to the Vet ER and my sweet Goliath passed away on Tuesday. Small Paws is for small problems: vaccinations, nail trimming or anal glands expressed.

My Husband and I took our Mini Golden Doodle as an emergency visit. We’re new to the area since we are a coast guard family. Jessica was amazing on the phone as well as checking Mason in. Jessica assured me my pup would be well taken care of and she was right! All of us as pet parents know the stress and worry with leaving our dogs with someone especially the vet where are dogs are least happy. Mason left way way happier than I’ve seen him at any vet office. Thanks to Jessica, the Dr. and the rest of the amazing team. I would recommend to anyone!!

This place is good for routine shots. But don’t take a stray with potential problems to get checked out. Vet missed a level three heart murmur and gum disease in my cat. I also asked to have her ears checked for mites but she was medicated instead. Turns out she had a double ear infection. Pencil-whipped an evaluation and I had to find this all out at another vet’s office.

Awesome people work at Small Paws. Very good with my fur babies and with my husband and myself. We moved here February of 2020 and we took our babies there and I'm so glad we did.

I love small Paws! Dr. Temple & her staff not only care about their pet patients but their parents/owners as well. They are all loving, caring & compassionate. Friendly, organized, knowledgeable & great at educating when needed. I would not take my pets anywhere else!

Rated three stars specifically for the other reviews. I just thinks it’s insane to only take dogs under 45lbs. I wouldn’t recommend anyone just due to that fact.

I just wanted to take a moment and say how incredibly wonderful Tamra is at Small pets! I know with everything going in things are a little crazy but she took so much stress off my shoulder and helped me when I really needed help. She went above and beyond what I was asking of her & even gave me so useful and good information about flea/tick & heart worm medication. I am so excited to start going here & I really cannot thank you enough Tamra for helping me get my cat her medicine!!
