WONDERFUL experiences with this vet. My dog Dary is a trainwreck of nerves/anxiety and they are so patient with him and go above and beyond in helping him to calm down for his exams. They never make us feel rushed and are conscientious of people on budgets. I originally chose this vet because I lived so close and could walk my dog there, and now I am moving 20 minutes away but still intend to drive my dog out here because I love this practice to much. Rave reviews all around.

Great experience. Dr. Bennett and her staff were efficient, kind and professional. They calmed my scared cat, got her vaccinated, and answered my questions. The vet didn’t push unnecessary labs or products which I really appreciate. I will be back.

A friend recommended a different vet in the area, but they didn't have availability for over a month, so I took my dog, Helen, to Urban Tails, who was able to get her in quickly. The plan was to use Urban Tails as a holdover until I could get in at the other vet, but I quickly realized I should use Urban Tails as Helen's primary vet. The office was clean, the receptionist was friendly, and we got into a patient room quickly. The vet techs saw us right away, and without even a thought sat on the floor to make my nervous dog comfortable. Dr. Bennett, too, sat on the floor with my dog for the whole exam. Everyone was kind and knowledgeable, not to mention cost-sensitive (recommending generic medications, not recommending unnecessary tests and labs, etc.). Highly recommend all around.

Dr. Bennett and her crew are the absolute best! Such a unique and wonderful practice. Go for the specialized veterinarian service, stay for the artwork on the walls!

Love this new veterinarian clinic. All of the staff were super friendly and respectful of me and my cat. Would gladly recommend, especially for those whose animals can be a little anxious.

I am so glad I was referred to this place, after a very stressful morning trying to see a vet for my recent rescue kitten and no one seen to have time to take him the same day, this place did. They accommodated an appointment for the afternoon. I love their professionalism, and they treated my kitten with so much love, definitely be back. Highly recommended

I was referred to Urban Tails from my existing veterinarian who was fully booked that week. My dog had an eye infection and UT scheduled an appointment in 1-2 days. I was very impressed with the tech, who recommended a flea/tick medication that would work better with my current heartworm monthly meds. Dr. Bennett was kind and informative; she had us on our way with medication and instructions quickly! I especially love that the team here works too schedule an appointment swiftly for urgent issues! Highly recommend!

Urban Tails is the best vet I’ve ever been to. I have a very nervous, anxious dog and going to the vet is usually a big ordeal. Dr. Bennett and her team were so patient with my dog and took extra time and care to ensure that she was as comfortable as possible. I let them know she was nervous, so they were extra careful to not appear threatening to my dog, including not looking at her, staying on the ground, and giving tons of treats until she calmed down enough to have her physical exam. I loved that I was able to give my dog treats/pets while Dr. Bennett was administering vaccines. If you have an anxious or nervous dog, this is the place to go. We are scheduled to go back to do “happy visits” which is just where your dog gets to go inside the vet and receive lots of treats (and no treatment) to establish a positive association with the vet. I’ve never encountered a vet that offers that kind of service. I am so thrilled with Urban Tails, and I cannot recommend this practice enough!

It was a great experience when our cat got very sick and our own vet was unable to and too busy to help. Urban Tails brought us right in, found the problem and our cat was back to herself the next day.

INCREDIBLE business. I am so very grateful to them - After my vet (who I have used for 4 years) told me that they did not have time to see my cat who was experiencing a medical emergency, they referred me to Urban Tails. I called Urban Tails and without hesitation they told me to bring her right away. After some xrays, it was discovered that my poor baby had been hit by a car, and due to exposure she was hypothermic. I was completely emotional and ridiculous, but the entire staff treated me with kindness and patience. They held her for the day, and gave me a step by step update of what care my cat was receiving. Each new treatment, medication, etc. was explained to me and I was given a quote (high end and low) and I was to sign off on my preferences for care. They even offered their contact information for over the Christmas holiday in case my cat took a turn (she was hit on the 23rd). Because of them, my cat is alive and thriving! And I cannot thank them enough.

Just because you are lower income does not mean that you’re incapable of giving an animal a loving home, but what it does mean is good vet care is hard to come by. Urban tails had recently came to my community and offered free exams for the first appointment, my girl Spicey is not a rider, riding in a car makes her sick, but Urban Tails was close enough so it wasn’t too bad, this is how I first came in contact with them. Spicey is a senior pit that we took in 10 years ago, she was a stray and had been abused. Spicey had developed a growth on her backside that was awful looking and drug the ground when she stooped to use the bathroom, I called Urban Tails to see if they could help and being low income I didn’t know how I was going to pay for it, well they had a charity fund, thank god, see the first time I took Spicey to them she loved Dr Bennet and the staff, so I knew she was in very good hands. I thank god for putting good people in my life, and so thankful for that Urban Tails came to my community

We just had a first appointment at Urban Tails. We spend about 50% of our time in Durham and just had our first emergency visit. Not only did they get us in the next day, but they took GREAT care of my pug. They pride themselves in being a fear free clinic and I know my dog will be taken care of every time to come to this clinic. They new exactly what was going on with my dog and made sure I understood as well. I cannot recommend Urban Tails enough!

I deeply appreciated the level of care and communication from this clinic. I felt as though they took the time to explain my options for vet care, and talked through pros and cons of each service. I never felt pressured to agree to anything and felt the space to go home and think about what we discussed. They also do all of the exam, vaccinations, and blood draws in the room with me, allowing my pet to stay calm. This truly feels like a unique veterinary practice and I am so glad I found them. I cannot recommend them highly enough,

Cool place. Definitely different from any of my old vets. The atmosphere is modern, clean and laid back. Think I found my new vet!

My schnauzer poodle and I had her first exam at Urban Tails yesterday and we love them! My schnoodle was picked up as a stray 4 years ago, and she’s quite a fearful little pup. Rachel, the vet tech and practice manager, and Dr Jenny Bennett both worked to win over my scared little girl with patience and kindness and literally 10 different kinds of treats, and it worked! She calmed down and actually got up and explored the room all on her own. The exam room doesn’t even have an exam table - they have a little cushion so the tech and vet can sit on the floor and be on the dog’s level. They were knowledgeable, genuine, and so kind. Their whole office feels relaxed and you can tell they work hard to keep it that way. I’m really pleased to call this practice our own now. I'm happy to make the easy drive from Raleigh for this stellar practice.

Absolutely incredible vet that I feel so lucky to have found. I have a pretty anxious dog and a super bratty cat - but Dr. Bennett & her wonderful staff are loving, kind and patient. They put my worries at ease and make my pets feel right at home. 100% recommend.

I've been to Urban Tails once and I'm already in love. Dr. Bennett and the staff members I met, Coulson and Rachel, were SO WONDERFUL and made my pup and I feel right at home. They were caring, genuine, and went above and beyond to make sure they were getting to know my dog and become familiar with all his history. I look forward to being a customer for many years to come. Dr. Bennett was our Veterinarian at a previous practice. I sought her out for a 2nd opinion with an injury sustained by our newest dog. Dr. Bennett's strength is in both her conservative approach and her consideration of natural medicine for our pets. While one vet was recommending surgery and heavy pharmaceuticals for our current dog, we are now working on some physical therapy exercises and joint supplements to give her some time for her body to attempt to heal itself. This decision was made after a physical exam and a review of x-rays to determine how significant the injury was. You will not find more compassion or genuine caring for animals at all stages of life than you will with this Veterinarian and staff.

Dr. Bennett is a brilliant doctor who is loving and compassionate. The new office is cheerful and thoughtfully designed, and the staff is fantastic. We also had a virtual appointment with one of our dogs, Dr. Bennett was able to diagnose the problem and order a prescription in minutes, without us leaving home. Also, I love that I can order our Rx pet food on the Urban Tails website for the same $ (or lower) as the big pet supply sites.

Kind, thoughtful and friendly. They made me and my new puppy feel right at home, and really took the time to answer all my questions. They're exceptionally good about covid protocols, and you can either come in with your pet, or they'll meet you curbside and work virtually with you. I can't recommend them enough.

Our normal vet was all booked for the next couple of weeks due to the pandemic but our newly adopted kitten had an ear infection. Dr. Bennett was so kind and helpful. They currently offer video calls from the examination room so that you can see your pet and talk with the vet from the safety of your car. I was a little worried sending my kitten in all alone but they did a wonderful job of keeping him calm. He purred through the whole appointment. I had a very pleasant experience at Urban Tails!

Excellent practice. I dropped my dog Waldo off curbside for an appointment, and they sent me a link to actually join the appointment virtually. This made me feel extremely comfortable, as I had peace of mind that he was doing well without me present. Dr. Bennett was fantastic with my little terrier mix, as were all of the technicians (Becky, Rachel). My pup is super small and fragile, and they handled him with care and showered him with love while he was there, making an otherwise unpleasant experience with shots and bloodwork more comfortable. Thank you for taking such good care of my sweet boy!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bennet, Rachel, and the rest of her team. I came in with an emergency having found two kittens in bad shape. The staff were professional, super competent, kind, easy to talk to, patient. All my many questions were answered clearly. The office itself is beautiful and bright. I weirdly can't wait for our next visit it was seriously that pleasant to interact with this incredible team.
