Had been thinking about switching due to the very long drive and my proximity to other exotic vets but the service Dr. Burkett provides is simply unmatched. The cost of the yearly exams is fully worth the thoroughness and expertise he provides and dr burketts willingness to discuss any concerns you have over the phone before even scheduling an appointment is a life saver when you have multiple birds.

A nice selection or bird toys suitable for parakeets to McCaws. 3 beautiful (not for sale) birds on site. Joined to an avian vet office its a feather mom and dads place to go.

Got a second opinion about my bird. BB was not helpful. New vet fixed him up.

The Doc and his staff are awesome! My Meyer's and Senegal are well cared for every time we visit.

Dr. Burkett saved both our chickens. He is so nice, helpful, and caring. He helped our one chicken during a bad case of bumble foot and our second chicken was recently attacked by a raccoon. He performed an amazing emergency surgery on her the day of the incident. She is back home and we can’t thank him enough for all he’s done. Thank you and of course we HIGHLY recommend! Dr. Burkett took very well care of my parrot. Staff is always very friendly.

My Louie was in birdie ICU and subsequent observation for days; I was able to sit with her daily undisturbed with the ever pleasant staff. The Boutique is operated by a top Avian Doc who updated me at the end of every day. She's been home and happy for some time and I wouldn't entrust her care to anyone else.

I buy my parakeet's food here. The price is very reasonable, and the staff is super nice. My only complaint is that sometimes they are closed when I go there, so check the hours before you go. I plan to take Skye here when she needs vet care. I live in the neighborhood, and I appreciate how they took a historic house on the corner and restored it. Good parking. Great selection of parakeets in the big, open-air area in the back of the house. My kids really love to watch them.

Dr. Burkett is wonderful to talk with and his staff is always so friendly and helpful. Can’t say enough good things about them.

Dr. Burkett has saved the life of my companion bird, an 18 year old Blue and Gold. Beaufort devolved a localized but nasty infection that did not respond well to topical antibiotics. Surgery was necessary to remove the abcess. Dr. Burkett provided compassionate and professional care that led to complete recovery and good health. I was welcomed in to observe the surgery and all my questions were answered during the proceedure. We have had to deal with a squamous cell carcinoma since then. Dr. Burkett again took care of my bird in an exceptional manner. It is well worth the over two hour drive to get this kind of care.

I am so grateful to have an incredible avian vet so close to where we live. Dr. Burkett is an expert and a calming presence when you suspect something might be ailing your feathered friend. The Boutique's selection of Harrison's Bird Food helps ensure you don't hurt your bird by keeping them on a mainly seed diet.

I love this place! Everyone is so polite. They are very knowledgeable. They don't oversell. They have very reasonable prices on toys. They have premium brands of foods I switched my bird to. They have everything you need for all size birds. On top of that I love their store birds who will sometimes greet you with a "Hello" when you walk in! If you are looking for boarding this is the place! I boarded my Elon for a week here. When I got back he didn't seem like he wanted to leave. I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends.

Dr Burkett has been treating my birds and chickens for over 25years! I complete trust his judgment and advice. He knows birds. They have all the toys, treats and diet food your bird could need. They can make recommendations as you put your bird cage together...take advantage of their years of experence! Peggy
