Petropolitan Dog Grooming Durham, North Carolina

Tina is absolutely amazing! She is so wonderful with my very anxious dog. In fact he enjoys his time with her more and more and his anxiety has improved considerably! Thank you Tina! We will continue to keep go to Petropolitan in the future. I highly, highly recommend them!! -Sarah (and Jax) Grup.

This past Wednesday, 10/6/2021, was our first visit to Petropolitan. I was apprehensive as my dog, Murphy, is somewhat hyper and has always had difficulty with the grooming process, but when I picked him up after grooming, Tina assured me he was well-behaved, and I could tell that he experienced no anxiety during the process. I call Tina the ‘dog whisperer.’ Tina groomed Murphy just as I asked, and both Murphy and I are well-satisfied.

Been taking our Yoshi boy to Petropolitan for over a year. Tina is fantastic and does a great job. We love this place!

They take good care of my big dog. She always looks so good after her grooming appointment.

My favorite place to get my schnoodle groomed. They do EXCELLENT work. Better than any other groomer I have ever been too.

Petropolitan takes great care of your pups! My dog has a lot of separation anxiety, and now she actually gets excited to go in for our return visits. Tina always gives my dog a great cut. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a groomer!

I take my Maltese (Miles) to Petropolitan faithfully, for at least the last four years. He always looks beautiful and smells lovely. Well worth the price and the drive across Durham!

If you're looking for a painless process for everyone (dogs and their owners!), check these folks out! I have a German Shepard (Daphne, about 5 years old) who was shedding alllll over the place and needed a bath bad! Emily at Petropolitan took excellent care of her -- I dropped Daphne off in the morning and had her after lunch. Emily called and let me know Daphne was a little intimidated by the blow dryer (I should have anticipated that) and worked with her to come up with a less stressful drying situation. :) The staff there is so friendly, the grounds are beautiful, and the pups are pampered!

The people are friendly, they do an excellent job with grooming, and the most amazing part is how good they are with handling the dogs. It’s surprising to go into a grooming facility and see most of the dogs patiently waiting for their turn. The dogs always seem quite happy spending the day with the groomers.

We have two Old English Sheepdogs and Petropolitan grooms them beautifully every time! The dogs are calm and lean on their groomer when they walk in which, to me, is the best review of all!

Jill is the best. Been to other groomers both expensive and not and this is the best place ever. This is the only place our dog isn't apprehensive about. You can see all the grooming taking place right when you walk in (some places keep the grooming "in the back"). Everytime I've been there the groomers are friendly and all genuinely love dogs and are usually speaking to them lol. All the dogs there are also pretty chill and calm whenever I drop off, not the crazy barking and craziness I've seen at some other less organized places. Will keep coming here forever.

This week I took my dog there for the first time. I'm very pleased. They are friendly and my dog looks great.

After seven years of trying to find the right groomer I have found them at Petropolitan. This is the Holy Grail of dog groomers! Small boutique grooming where the groomers enjoy their job and the dogs they care for. My boys were very scared of the groomer and would always nip previous groomers, I think because they were in a small crate all day with so many other dogs barking and howling this stressed them out. Along with the anxiety of getting groomed it was too much for them. I took them to Petropolitan where Diane and Jill took great care of my babies and the boys even seemed happy when I arrived. They look and smell marvelous, thanks to Petropolitan. They now have a repeat customer!

I took my Pekingese here to get groomed because I was looking for a local business and that was such a great decision!! They didn't take forever, they were so friendly, and they did a GREAT job. He is so fluffy and he was such a happy boy there. We WILL be back and I highly recommend them to anyone.
