I use to like this clinic but they have new staff now I guess due to covid. I had to have my dog put down here a month ago and it was the girls first day. She had zero empathy and no idea what she was doing. The personality of a brick wall. Not who I wanted to deal with on my dogs last day of life at 17 years old. They need to teach there staff bedside manner before having them work with the public.

I was visiting from out of town and had to bring in my cat that had been dealing with an ongoing infection. The vets at Denver Animal Emergency worked with me and my regular vet to best treat my cat, and were communicative, fairly priced, and professional. They were able to help my regular vet find and solve the root of the issue, and helped save my cat's life.

I had to put my cat down today because of cancer. I was not handling it well. They showed so much love and made the process easier for me. They explained everything to me and let me know it was the right decision. Thanks guys for everything you did for lil mama

I'm a veterinarian who had to take her own dog to Denver Animal Emergency for a life saving surgery in the middle of the night. I can not tell you how great the doctors and staff are here. They were responsive, caring, and professional. I highly recommend!

We took our kitten in when our vet couldn't take her for an urgent visit. We ended up waiting a bit longer than we expected, but we understood as they had multiple critical patients come in while we were there. The staff were attentive, bringing snacks and drinks to those waiting outside. Once they were able to see our kitten, the doctor called us promptly to tell us the diagnosis and treatment plan and answer any questions we had. Overall a very good experience and incredibly professional and compassionate staff.

I brought my 15 year old dog here because Huntersville Animal Emergency was short staffed & unable to take anymore patients. It was around 2 a.m. on a Sat. & my dog was breathing very shallowly, could hardly walk, was lethargic & had a dry warm nose. We weren’t allowed to go inside Denver Animal Emergency so they came out to carry my 45 lb dog inside. The vet called me a bit later to tell me my dog had a 106 temperature & they should do some blood work. The blood test results were normal so the vet called again & suggested they do some X-rays. I consented to that too. She called back & said his spleen was enlarged & I don’t recall her saying anything else about the X-rays. She said he could have had a seizure which would generate a lot of excess heat & cause a temperature. She said they could keep him there in case he had another seizure, then they could stop it quickly with an IV. I asked if I could bring him home & if there was anything we could do to bring his temperature down. I realized it might be time to put him to sleep since he was 15 years old, but wanted to get.a 2nd opinion from my vet when they opened later that morning. The Denver vet said yes I could bring him home & to try putting a fan on him to cool him down. I responded that for a child I would use ibuprofen or Tylenol to bring the temp down, wasn’t there anything I could give the dog. She said no. I brought my dog home & used a fan while monitoring him until I could call my vet. In the meantime the Denver vet was suppose to email me & my vet a report on what had transpired. I’m so glad that I got a 2nd opinion because my vet, after calling the Denver vet for the X-rays & report which they had not sent 8 hrs later, said that it looked like my dog might have a bacterial or fungal infection & that he definitely had some fluid around the lungs that we needed to take care of. My vet kept my dog for the weekend & after 6 hrs on an IV with a diuretic & antibiotics his temperature was almost normal, he was breathing better, able to walk & was no longer lethargic. I felt that Denver Animal Emergency did all the right tests & X-rays, but seemed focused upon my dog being old, having a large spleen & probably having had a seizure. They didn’t offer to do anything about the fluid around his lungs that was causing his breathing problems or to do something to bring his temperature down. I found out from my vet that having a high temperature for an extended period of time can damage other organs, so it was important to get it lower sooner rather than later. My dog came home on that Monday, 2 weeks ago, with some medicines & is doing great!

I went to this vet in the middle of the night. They basically told me my cat was ok and no charge because they really didn't do anything but look her over but many places would have charged me for that. Very Impressed!!

Dr Clark and staff were awesome. Problem solved, and it wasn't as expensive as we thought. Hope you never have to go but if so, you'll be in good hands.

Going to Denver Animal Emergency is like going back in time to the days when people answered the phone, everyone cares & you actually get to talk to providers. Every time I called to check on my hospitalized pet, there was a doctor on the phone within 3 minutes. I never felt rushed & felt like they went above & beyond with her work up and treatment. They take compassion and empathy to a new level. Thank you!

Do not take your pet here!! The first time I took my parents dog here (ladybug) I sat in the parking lot and called into the place and talked to the vet. He told me “Mister Lilly you do not need to bring in ladybug everytime you think she is a little sick” long story short, 6 hours later she was dead…not to mention their prices are ridiculous. But that’s not all, a couple months down the road we bring another English bulldog their (buster) we sat in the parking for over an hour when they said they would a someone out in a couple minutes. When we talked on the phone I told them he was having trouble catching his breath, when they finally brung someone out, She took one split second look at him and had the nerve to look me in the eye and tell me “no he is breathing just fine”. Long story short again 13 hours later he was dead

I cannot say enough great things about this vet. We had to rush two of our dogs here and since then, we have had some more issues with our dogs. Everything has been addressed with us every step of the way and with great customer service. The pricing is also very fair and I could not trust anyone else as much with my basset! I could not recommend them enough over many other emergency vets that we have used in the past.

Although our sweet boy didn’t make it, Denver did everything possible to help save him. They rushed to him when we got there & kept us updated every step of the way. Thank you for having a beautiful, peaceful set up for us to be able to tell our best boy goodbye & for giving us as much time as we needed. We appreciate your hard work, compassion, & your love for animals so very much.

Back in June I brought my cat in and my mom's cat in for a routine neuter, later that day my cat died, my 3 year old cat died 5 hrs later.. 23 hrs later my mom's cat was rushed back there for multiple seizures and stayed over night with no answers to this day.. this past sat I brought a kitten in, and was told she had an upper respiratory infection yesterday afternoon she was taken back to a regular vet and was put to sleep because she tested postive for feline leukemia... after not getting better.. if I could rate this place in the negatives I would.. I will never bring another pet here again

First, let me say that the staff here are so kind. We had already been to another emergency vet that could not take us and called another that had a 4-6 hour wait (totally understandable). So we made the trip to Denver Animal Emergency vet, over 30 minutes away, and they managed to get our girl in to be seen and fixed her right up within 2 hours. At an affordable price too, for something as unexpected as an emergency vet visit. I cannot thank them enough for their help. I hope I never need to visit another emergency vet, but if I do, it will be Denver Animal Emergency.

It's open 24/7 365 days a year. It can have long waits because it's the only 24 hour animal clinic in Lincoln County.

Although I pray I never need their services again. They were extremely kind and compassionate and took excellent care of my French Bulldog, Chanel. Even though her outcome was not what I wanted, they did everything possible to fight for her life.

My first time ever taking my dog to an emergency vet. We had a dog park accident where my dogs dewclaw was torn and twisted because of a large dog jumping on her front paw. The only reason I give them two stars is because I realized they had cut my dogs nails without my permission. Not only that, they cut them too short and caused more harm and pain than what she was currently in. We have sworn off getting her nails cut due to being injured every single time and she has refused anyone including myself. For years she has taken care of it herself. I received a courtesy call the next day asking how my dog was doing. I asked why her nails were cut and I was told (with attitude) it was a courtesy they do to prevent incidents like mine. It was as if I should have been grateful. I told her that the tech cut them too short and hurt my dog and asked her to tell the tech that she messed up. Then it sounded like she scuffed then she replied with I'll tell her. Nothing in excess of what is discussed should be done without the owners permission. Please know that her nails were cut while she was sedated. It's not like she was squirming causing the tech to accidentally cut too short.
