Dr. Hayes and his staff are always courteous and helpful with our fur babies. We have been utilizing Davis Lake Animal Hospital for over 20 years. They have seen us through some happy visits to some that ended with pain in our hearts. We always felt at home and in good care with them. As long as I reside in the Charlotte area, this practice will be home to our fur babies for their medical needs.

My family have been bringing our pets to Dr. Hanes for 25 years. There are not enough good things I could say about him. He is kind and caring. You can always tell he truly cares about the pets AND the owners. I didn’t realize how spoiled I was with Dr. Hanes until I moved out of state and had a really difficult time finding a vet just as amazing! The staff at Davis Lake Animal Hospital are just as friendly and caring. If I ever move back to the Charlotte area I will ALWAYS go to Dr. Hanes to take care of my pets.

We have been looking for a new Veterinarian since we moved to the area 3 years ago. We continued to drive back to our old neighborhood until we found someone locally that we really liked. We found Dr. Sam on the Next Door app with many glowing reviews. We had our first appointment and are beyond excited to have found him. Both Dr. Sam and his assistant were super friendly and displayed so much care for our pet. Dr. Sam helped us understanding her issues with arthritis and was acceptable to providing a prescription so we could purchase her medicine online at a much lower price than our last Vet charged. If anyone is looking for a kind, caring and knowledgeable Vet, please do not hesitate to visit Dr. Sam.

Fantastic small business. They always fill the exam room full of pheromones to keep my cage-rage kitty calm. With every other vet, he'll hiss, growl, and turn into a monster. But for them, he's much tamer, no hissing or growling! Very small building, and you can go in with your furbaby if you're properly masked.

Great vet. It took him about a second to figure out what my dog needed for his eye infection! He is also very friendly! I have seen him for years now and have not had any issues

I have always had a positive experience when I take my dogs to Sam! He is very professional and tries to keep the costs down, unlike other Vets in the area. He will give you suggestions of how to treat something that you can do at home instead of selling you expensive medications, that home remedies will do the same thing! I've been to Davis Lake Animal Hospital a couple times since retiring and moving to Charlotte. Dr. Hanes is a most pleasant person and sharp diagnostician. He has always taken the time to fully discuss his diagnosis and treatment options, my definition of a professional. I will continue to put the care of my dog, Maddie, in his hands. As I noted above, i am a retired veterinarian.

This was the first visit for Thomas my adopted cat. Dr. Sam and the staff were great and I will bring Thomas back.

This is the best vet in the Lake Norman area. We have been going to Dr. Sam for 15 years now. We moved and tried other vets, but none even come close to Davis Lake Animal Hospital. Our new puppy had issues for a week. We went to Dr. Sam yesterday morning and our puppy has quickly recovered!

More then please. Couldn’t have chosen a better vet for my 10 week old mini dachshund. Dr. Sam was informative and super down to earth. They have weekend appt. which is awesome. My appt was at 11 we showed up a bit early 10:40, we were out of there at at 11:05
