We absolutely love Dr Redman!!! He offers knowledgeable advice in a frank manner. He undeniably knows his stuff and I trust him with our 6 animals. Whatever he advises, we do.

We came here with our new 9 week old puppy for her initial exam. Dr. Ken has the best personality and sweet Harley loved him. He was very informative and super helpful with letting us know what to do. He explained everything in detail to make sure we knew what to expect. Thanks Dr. Ken! We will definitely be back.

My family has been going to Vine Vet for 40 years! I love Dr. Redman and his staff. Ken Redman has a no-nonsense, old school, practical style of pet care that I really appreciate. He is always concerned for the well-being of my pet and the effects of any treatments. I know that my pet is going to get the best care without me being charged some over-the-top price and with out my pet going through unnecessary, stressful procedures. When my cat of 17 years was on her last day, I took her to Ken. He let me talk through what to do and hang out for hours with her before I could decide to put her to sleep. I was with her when Ken euthanized her and he talked me through each step. He was so kind. The whole process was very comforting. Since then my 2 year old cat and (now senior) chihuahua have been under his care. His place is not fancy, and you don't get a computerized receipt; but the medicine and care is top notch! Thanks Vine Vet!!!

Love everything about everything at Vine! We've been treated like family! The support and care given to my family when putting our dog to rest was priceless! Our dog loved Dr.Redmen and his staff. We're definitely glad they're a part of our fur family!

Dr. Redman was great on our first routine shots visit with our puppy; on our second visit here, however, the staff were awful. My mom called me this morning crying in panic due to the treatment her and our German Shepherd puppy Luke received at Vine Veterinary Hospital. Luke appeared to have sprained a shoulder ligament while playing, and we needed to have it looked at to rule out serious injury. When we called first thing this morning, the office rep said the Dr. had a big surgery scheduled at 12pm today, and could only see us at 10am. My mom had an important work meeting set for that time that she ended up having to cancel last minute. After coming in, Luke was taken from my mom to somewhere in the back to be placed in a crate. "The doctor will be right out." She could hear Luke barking, wailing and throwing himself at the cage out of confusion and fear. For over 40 minutes she sat there waiting, but no one came. Eventually, she could no longer handle listening to Luke potentially hurting himself more. She complained, was once again told to wait. A little before 11am, someone in the office told her the Dr. wasn't even there yet. Luke's wailing went on. My mom, concerned and upset, insisted the staff bring back Luke to her and left after spending an hour waiting. I am not sure what went wrong, but I do know that the way our concerns about our dog's injury were treated this morning was extremely unprofessional. The complete disregard and lack of attention to a puppy's well-being from a veterinary hospital is astonishing. This experience has entirely offset our initial impression of Dr. Redman's office. We will not be returning.

Before finding Dr. Redman at Vine Veterinary, I had gone to 6 different vets to find one that both my dog and I trusted. I've now been going to Dr. Redman with my dogs for almost 20 years. Dr. Redman doesn't do unnecessary, expensive tests. He always gives you affordable options when they exist. He educates pet owners in addition to helping your pets. He and his staff are wonderful. We're thankful to have found Vine.

We adore Dr. Redman!! He is extremely honest, no-nonsense, and conservative with treatment recommendations. He will treat your pet like one of his own, and is just all around a great guy. Any time we have called with a question he has always taken the time to personally call us back and speak with us for as long as needed. We love that this is a small, single doctor office. We have been coming here for 3 years and highly, highly recommend Dr. Redman!

I'm 26 years old and I've been taking my puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats to Dr. Redman as long as I can remember. He's the best, most laid back vet I know and I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. He always wants what's best for the animal and tries to make sure your pet gets everything he/she needs. He's a lovely, no nonsense man and his staff is wonderful. edit I plan on taking my new puppy to see him. I wrote my last review years ago and it still stands.

I can't say enough about Dr. Redman and the staff at Vine Veterinary. He cares so much for our fur babies, so much that he will take time off from his vacation to call us with test results. I wish I could rate him higher than 5 stars ???? If you're looking for a selfless, caring, amazing vet, look no further!

An old country vet in the middle of Chapel Hill.

Dr. Redman is a fantastic old school vet. No nonsense, doesn't run unnecessary tests...

As a kid, I came with my mom and our Corgis to see Dr. Vine, who was a brilliant, caring, and professional vet. When Dr. Redman stepped in, we continued to receive the same exceptional care for our dogs. He was there for us and for each of the 7 dogs my parents had throughout their lives, offering practical, cost effective healthcare for them all. As an adult, I’ve had 5 cats over the years that he has helped me with - including Yoda, who had a rare and tricky autoimmune disease. I will always be grateful for the clear information, the practical approach, and the loving kindness provided by Dr. Redman and his wonderful staff. No other vet compares!

Love Dr Redman. He takes his time with each appointment and is extremely thorough. He will answer questions on the phone to save you from coming in if possible. He understands that money doesn't grow on trees yet he makes sure that my dog stays healthy.

Love Dr. Redman. Left our last vet because of the nickel and diming. None of that here. Just great care from a very knowledgeable vet.

They take very good care of our animals,and they are not over priced,( example I called another vet and got a quote for almost $700.00,and Vine's,did it for $105.00,) would recommend them over any one

The positive reviews describing Ken are so spot on I was smiling and nodding while reading them. Two friends recommended him to me over 25 years ago when I lived in Chapel Hill. I stayed with him when I moved further away until I wanted less of a drive. I was gone a few years and it was not a positive experience. I still hate the drive but I'm back at Vine and am super thankful to have Ken taking care of my precious animals.

Dr. Redman is the best! Diesel and I have been seeing him since he was adopted. Dr. Redman has kindly guided me through everything - from vaccines, to food selection, to flea medication, panicked calls about diarrhea and itching bald spots. Diesel is my first dog, and I feel so much more confident knowing Dr. Redman is in my corner. I can feel that he truly loves and cares for the animals. You can see it from the homemade beef treats in the waiting room to the way he handles the animals, remembers their names, and the copious amounts of time he spends explaining things. He focuses a lot on preventive care, which is so important and not the most common these days. On another note, he is affordable, fair, and honest. As a grad student on a budget, I definitely appreciate that. He's referred Diesel to a dermatologist and even though he examined him, he didn't charge us for a visit. We've also been able to get him on the phone, saving us an office visit. I know how hard it is to find an honest, kind, and competent veterinarian. Diesel and I are truly lucky to have happened upon Dr. Redman and his staff at Vine Veterinary.
