My husband and I were very thankful that Dogwood was willing to accept us as new patients especially in an emergency. Saturday morning at 4am I started calling around to hospitals and emergency locations with many saying that they had full capacity and couldn't take my dog. After about 6 other places-God blessed us with Dogwood which is the closest to our home than any of the others I called. They took us as a "work in" appt and we were in and out within 2 hours. It was initially a heart concern for my dog and Dr. Horsley was very kind and knowledgeable. She got down on the floor with me and my dog and was very understanding of our wants and desires for the health of our pup. She even spoke to us about our holistic/natural desires to get Ranger back to good health. After 2 all day stays with the staff and 4 appts, tons of test ran, I'm overjoyed to report that Ranger must have suffered for a week of vestibular/inner ear infection but has now almost fully recovered with more progress I'm sure to make! Cristina was an amazing tech and was very caring and supportive of me as a fur-mommy! Dr. Johnson was amazing too! Cassandra and many others that I don't know by name were all truly a blessing in Rangers recovery and they were very responsive and attentive to our family. The front desk staff and CSR staff are terrific to communicate with throughout the day. I love the fact that you can text them and they respond very promptly. I received updates throughout the day from the staff taking care of Ranger while he was in their care and it was very comforting. They are a wonderful facility and we are happy to have found a local veterinary that we can trust. Thank you all! :-)

The staff at Dogwood Veterinary Hospital in Newnan, GA., love their jobs give love, care deeply for the animals in their care, and are compassionate. Jazzy was bleeding from her rectum. I was crying, shaking, scared of losing my toy poodle. I met Tracy, the Veterinary Tech. on duty that day. She spoke gently and told me we would take care of Jazzy, and she gave me a tissue to wipe my tears. I looked at her for reassurance as Jazzy had to leave the examination room for blood work and other tests. Tracy checked on me to see how I was doing as I waited. I was a nervous wreck, but Tracy's caring spirit helped me from the spiral of emotions. After all of the stress, Tracy hugged me. Excellent doctors and staff helped with Jazzy's recovery and called to see how she was doing. Dogwood is number one; in my opinion, I had another dog that died of old age, and she was well taken care of by staff. Stop by Dogwood Veterinary Hospital; your pet will thank you.

Greatest vet clinic in the area! I highly recommend Dr. Thomas. He truly has the animal's best interest at heart. The level of genuine care and sincerity is unmatched. We're so thankful to have someone of Chris' caliber here in town and wouldn't trust our 3 golden doodles with anyone else!

Our Veterinarian, Dr. Chris Thomas, is very detailed, professional, takes time to explain everything in a way you can understand it, and reliable! My Gracie LOVES going to see Dr. Thomas. He is always there for our needs and my million questions. Go see Dr. Chris Thomas!!

Dogwood had taken care of a couple of our babies and everyone had always been so kind and helpful. Dr Johnson explains things so well and makes sure you understand exactly what’s going on. All of the vet techs (especially Gabi!) always remember you and are so loving to our dogs! The front desk girls are always very friendly and helpful. I absolutely would recommend Dogwood to anyone looking for a local vet!

They take such good care of my baby! They are great with him, they are very thorough and explain everything every step of the way. I couldn't ask for a better vet.

12/27/2021 I took our dog for end of life care. As soon as we arrived with Champ the entire staff showed so much care and compassion. We were taken straight back and there was a nice soft pallet laid out big enough for Champ to be laid on and big enough for me to either sit or lay next to him. I was given as much time as needed to say my final goodbye to out beloved dog all the while staff was checking on me to be sure I didn't need any tissues, water or whatever. And only after I told them I was ready did Dr Horsley come in with an assistant. Even though they were very short staffed, both sat with me after it was over, both of them petting Champ along with me and sat with me for a little bit just listening to me talk about his life with us and how much he was loved and would be missed. I thank God for these wonderful people. They surely made a very painful thing for us just a little bit easier. Thank you Dr Horsley and the entire staff for being so amazing.

We used to take our lab to this vet and will never take him again. We had appointments set up for shots, waited in the waiting room for over 2hrs. Most of the time we were the last ones in the waiting room. I was also late to my sons tball game because we waited so long even though we had an appointment. And all this was before covid. They kept apologizing for the wait but it kept happening so we stopped taking him.

I have taken every pet I’ve ever had here . Dogwood staff is kind , caring , compassionate, attentive, and knowledgeable. I’ll never forget years ago when our precious sheltie had to be put down . They made an unbearable process a little less painful for us . I even received flowers from them in honor of her passing . I totally trust Dogwood with my pets - past , present and future.

Dogwood has the most caring staff I have ever experienced. Dr. Johnson is amazing! If you want a vet who treats your pets like family, Dogwood is the place for you. Dr. Horsley is also amazing! I will never have a different vet as long as they are here and I have pets.

She's been very attentive towards my older dog and have done follow up calls to check on him. Of course, this make me feel cared for BUT, I do find their prices pretty steep. I am new to the area so I didn't really research other vets. I find it very expensive that they charge separately for services that should be included in an Exam (compared to human doctor’s visit). Examples of fees: Initial Exam: $65 Medical Progress Exam: $39.00 Electro Cardiogram: $37.50 blood pressure check: $44.50 each time X-rays: $289.50 (each time). Blood panel: over $229.50 Medication prices: Vetmedin: $90.25 Convenía Injection: $87.50 Benazepril Suspension: $28 Furomiside: $30.75 My advice? Call around before choosing a place. I know pet parents get emotional about our fur babies.

I was most pleased with the time patience and honesty that I received. They made me feel as if my boy Gator was the main focus and his health was priority.

I have been going to Dogwood Veterinary Hospital for 18 plus years. They have provided me with great service. I have had to visit other places in emergency and they are not even close to Dogwood. I have been going tp Dogwood Vet Hospital for many years with my pets, and I can honestly say my "critters" have been extremely hajppy, with the care we have gotten (including snakebite)! Sure, it can get a little expensive, but hasn't everything!!! My dogs love Drs. Johnson. Morris, and Cannady! Ann Kuehl

I absolutely LOVE this place. My dog got fixed a week ago at the HELP spay and neuter and just a few days after he was in a terrible fight with another dog. We didn’t have any appointment and we were able to get in and have him seen right when needed. They provided us with the best service they possibly could. We were so worried about our baby. Dogwood definitely made my boyfriend and I feel at ease when leaving him to get treated.

We highly recommend Dogwood Veterinary Hospital! We were so excited to find a place that could do surgery on our dog, she had a TPLO on her knee plus the laser treatment to help expedite her healing. The staff and Dr. Horsley were phenomenal! We will look to them for all of our pets needs in the future.

OMG!!! I don’t know where to start. I called on the 8th of October and told Claire who answered the phone that my BullyPit was not eating, not getting up and overall not herself. We scheduled an appointment for the next day. Claire felt this was serious so I should bring Candy, my dog in right away. Well life happens and I locked my keys in the car and had to call and reschedule. Guess what! When Claire got to work she told me she was coming to get Candy herself! Who does that?! She was so loving, kind and truly concerned. She made me feel very comfortable and Candy. When she came at 8:30am, she brought along Jimmy who was absolutely awesome with my dog. My dog Candy loves him. He assured me that he would call me to let me know the outcome and he kept his words. Guess what? They brought her back home! After bringing her back, he explained things to me again along with the medicine. He continuously rubbed and loving on my big dog. Those two are a “dynamic duo”. Wow! With those two along makes you want to take your pet there.

They immediately took my neighbors dog in the back for examination. Bruce was struck by a motor vehicle.

I highly recommend Dogwood Veterinary Hospital! Dr. Horsley and Cristina (our tech) have been amazing in treating my kitten who has an inner ear infection. Cristina has gone above and beyond by helping me on a daily basis give him his oral antibiotics, because it is such a challenge for me to do it myself. I can’t thank Cristina enough for her commitment in helping speed up his recovery. We will be back! Thank you Dogwood for your care and compassion for my pets!

I am so thankful that I found this vet, they are the best of the best. They care so much, and do their hard due diligence. Cristina is the most amazing vet tech, she made sure my dogs felt safe and secure and has such a loving touch! Love this place.

Dr. Johnson and Cristina were amazing. They went above and beyond for our cat and were very attentive to her needs. She was feeling better in no time!

I am extremely pleased with the service and attention my dog, Spike, and I have received from Dogwood. Dr. Johnson and Dr. Stephenson have provided expert care and attention to Spike, a lab-mix since he was 12 weeks old ( he will be 10 in December). They have seen him through several injuries (including an ACL surgery) and illnesses, always caring for him like he was their own pet. I want to recognize three employees that I have gotten to know that have, also, provided extra care and interest in Spike's health and welfare. Ashton, a technician, knows Spike and treats him like her own pet. She continues to always show a special interest in him. Kes and Claire work in the front of the office, and both always welcome Spike and show a special interest in him, and always call me after treatment to check on him. They, also, before I leave the office take the initiative to file for the pet insurance to apply to the charges. They continually go out of their way to make sure that I have been taken care of. I take all my dogs to dogwood!!!! They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for and these people are A1! They treat all animals with care and give them the correct treatment they need. Asked if they had an avian veterinarian and they told me that they don't have any avian veterinarian and the one they recommended was over a hour away.... turns out that there is a avian vet that is way closer and used to work for them but later went there separate ways. This just makes me mad that someone would care more about competition than an animals well-being ????

Dogwood took care of my dogs like they were their own! I came to dogwood about 4 months ago and I’ve found my forever vet! Thank you so much for being so awesome!
