Visiting from out of town. They got us in on Christmas Eve for an UTI in an elderly dog. Wonderful service!

I had a very good experience with Dr. Wimsey and my older pup. I recommend this doctor! She is patient, thorough and compassionate. Glad I gave this vet a try after a horrible experience with another doc at this practice years ago.

For over a decade and for four wonderful golder retrievers (and my 100 year old mother's cat) we have received compassionate care, excellent communications, and superb medical attention for our boys. We would encourage anyone with any type of dog (or cat) to avail themselves of the staff and facilities at Cole Park Veterinary Hospital.

We had a very positive experience at Cole Park Vet. Dr. Pagel was wonderful-- patient and insightful. Our dog has significant behavioral concerns. On the car ride there for our first visit she was shivering and panting as car rides really stress her out. She was nervous at this new vet and guarded. Staff were calm and gentle with her. After an hour or so meeting with Dr. Pagel she was far more relaxed. She was even calm on the car ride home! We feel encouraged about treatment options that will be effective and look forward to her next appointment.

I've always grown up with dogs, but I finally got a puppy of my own! As a new dog mom, Cole Park Veterinary Hospital gave me all the resources and information I could need! They were very friendly, answered all my questions, gave advice, and made both myself and my fur baby feel comfortable!

When we found a tiny soaking wet kitten at the side of the road they took us right in even though of course we had no appointment on a busy Saturday.

Katie was extremely unprofessional. My wife made an appointment, arrived on time and spoke to her on the phone. After discussing with her that we would prefer to remain with our dog during the appointment due to the issues at hand, she denied us the appointment. She then proceeded to hang up because we said we were going to look around at other places if we weren’t allowed to stay with him. My wife called back to make sure the call didn’t drop and she hung up on her a second time. This is extremely immature and unprofessional. If I were the owner, I would not allow someone like this to work for me and represent my place of business.

Great place for boarding both cats and dogs! Got a nice tour of the facility, and your precious ones are definitely getting the care they need and deserve. Only downside is the play area isn't as big as I think it should be, but I'm not an expert so for sure board your pets here!

New to town with a sick kitty. They were able to see my boy a few days after I called. The staff were friendly and helpful and showed me that they were taking good care of him. The vet called me (Covid restrictions) in the parking lot and was very patient talking about his infection with me, answering all of my questions, I didn't feel rushed at all. She gave me lots of options and recommended a treatment that worked. My fur baby is well again, and I have a new vet! Thank you!

While overall we had been happy with this practice, I called them first thing in the morning to tell them my dog was obviously on his last day and needed to bring him in to be put down. (He was old and sick) I was told they didn’t have any availability that day. He was suffering and I considered this to be an emergency. They told me to take him to the emergency clinic. I found this extremely impersonal and after many years of paying them this is how I was treated in a very tough and sad situation. It takes a lot to build trust and a relationship but it takes one event like this to ruin it. I reached out to them afterwards to express my dissatisfaction and received no reply. Obviously they are happy to take your money but their care for you or your pet in it’s final days is simply not there.

I recently moved to Chapel Hill from Los Altos, CA. I happen to live near this veterinary clinic, and I was in need of a vet for my cat, Wilson, b/c he did something to his hind claw. Cole Park was able to get me in quickly, and I was very happy with not only the caring service we received there, but additionally their Covid practices were very impressive. I felt very safe there, and my cat was taken care of very well. I will certainly return there for Wilson’s future care, as well as for my other cat and two dogs.

CPVH took care of my little dogs for years. They provided excellent care through several serious illnesses and old age crises. Their receptionists were always helpful and prompt. The doctors were knowledgeable and caring. I especially appreciated the care that Dr Droke always provided to my little dog family. She was especially comforting when my most precious little dog passed.

Love this vet office. It is clear they care about animals and their owners. My dog absolutely loves visiting them. It is a treat for her. You can't get a better recommendation than a dog that likes to visit the vet.

I have been in the area for a year and was referred to Cole Park by a friend. I have taken my dog and cat here and they were both treated as my children instead of my pets. Which I am grateful for. My dog is very suspicious of strangers and the Vets and Associates have all been overwhelmingly helpful with him instead of judgemental which I have encountered at other places. The scheduling is quick and efficient and I never feel rushed during exams. I'm so glad I started coming here and I will continue to be a loyal client!

I've been going to this group for years and they have lovingly cared for our two aged cats, who are now deceased, as well as our current dog and cat. Terrific team.

I struggle between 2 and 3 stars, but I am not sure I would recommend this vet. Our first visit was last year when we moved here. At the time our 12 year old lab had several issues. Hip issues, allergies and he had developed laryngeal paralysis which makes breathing difficult. We knew this going in, but the vet was somewhat rude and made us feel as if we caused these conditions. Our dog was a beloved member of our family and this hurt. I would have switched then but felt his time was short and there was no need to stress him out. We went back this spring for a well check and we had a much better experience. We ended up having several visits for some health concerns but each visit went well, until last week. Our dog was showing signs of distress and we knew it was time. I called Thursday afternoon and spoke to another vet who gave us some ideas to help out his breathing and keep him comfortable. The plan was to call back in the morning to see how he was and if there was any improvement. Friday morning he wasn't any better so I made the dreaded call to bring him in. The guy who answered the phone was AWFUL! First, he tells me I can bring my dog in Tuesday! What?! Wait 4 days with dog who can't breath. The guy then told me they were very busy that day and I should call Lap of Love. Seriously? I told him I would call another vet and he then all of a sudden found an opening. He did add that we would not be allowed in and could say goodbye from the car. I understand with COVID things are different so I asked if it could be done outside near the building so we could be with him. He told me that's only allowed for some people. I asked why only some and how do you qualify? He had no answer. We showed up for our appointment on time, but still were made to wait 15 minutes. When they came out for him we were thankfully invited in and shown to a comfort room without any issue. Unfortunately, when they brought him in we were told the Vet would be in to administer the drugs shortly. We waited over half an hour with our dog in complete distress. I will say the Vet that came in was the first to apologize and said she was not told about his condition. She seemed very unhappy with the staff for leaving us there. Overall it seems to be a hit or miss here. For us this isn't good enough and we have decided our new puppy will be going to a different vet. There are plenty of options and given what you pay for these services, no one should settle for sub par care.
