Northwoods Animal Hospital of Cary Cary, North Carolina

I just adopted a kitten a few days ago and I brought her in for her first vet visit here to get her established and ask the vet some questions. I was pretty nervous as she’s my first pet and I didn’t know what to expect. Everyone was super nice and helpful! They answered all of my questions and they are also taking COVID seriously by having you fill forms out in the car and requiring masks. Excited to have found a great vet for my newest family member!

After the vet who was supposed to issue my dog's health certificate canceled my appointment they worked me in on a tight schedule the next day so I still made my flight. They were amazing at double checking that we had everything he needed and making sure the paperwork was perfect. I can't recommend them enough!

We just inherited an injured dog and their care of her went above and beyond.

I used to work here & what a great dedicated staff. It's one BIG happy family there. Adding to my review Thank you Dr. Hudson for taking GREAT care of my girl today!!! Working with you I knew how passionate you are for animals & today I came in with my traumatized Bella from an attack & I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the time & excellent care you did for her. She gave you BIG kisses as her way of thanking you & she is resting comfortably now. Give my love to Ezra...& a BIG THANKS to all the staff that made Bella's visit that much better...I couldn't ask for a better staff of people for ALL my pets????????????

I love dealing with Dr Chappell and the professional and compassionate staff at Northwoods. I only want the best care for my girl Sammie and that's exactly when I get when I go there. Dr Chappell in my opinion is one of the best Vet's out there and he has a level of knowledge and insight that no amount of money can buy.

They have awesome vets and staff. They treat my pets with expertise and care as opposed to overcharging me for a "boutique" experience. Dr Hudson's father was our vet 40+ years ago and they have a strong Cary tradition going. Solid.

Josi hates it there...but they sure do love her and all the pets that visit. Great techs and Docs. Always available to answer questions, and explain things so you feel better about leaving your furbaby in their care.

I have been a client at Northwoods for over 15 years. Dr. Hudson is a practical and intuitive Vet. Staff is friendly. During covid you wait in your car while they take your pet inside then the Vet comes out and talks to you.

We've used them for more than than 15 years with 3 different dogs. Very friendly staff and Veterinarians

These people are great. New to the area with a new pup and an old pup. They both have been check out and love the employees

Veternarianan Chappell was rude and arrogant towards both his employees and I. Made references to the fact I came late on a Friday and how inconvenient that was for him. Compared my wife's some day pregnancy and a flea egg treatment by stating that it was like leaving a birth controlled woman on the streets?? Came in for a flea treatment and was condescended to the point that I wanted to walk out. Overall this expensive, negative experience means I will take my business elsewhere. You should too. Or ask for someone else. Maybe they're not all bad eggs. But Chappell is one heckuva spoiled apple.

Do not bring any pit bull dog or pit mix here EVER. The staff at this facility advised a family to return a rescue puppy to its fosters for the reason that it should never be left alone with their children because of the breed's "aggressive nature." Heartbreaking.

Unfortunately I have to give a star rating to leave a review, but I will start off by saying if you have a Pit Bull, do not bring them here. The vet openly said that pit bulls are unpredictable and should not be left alone with kids but fails to realize any breed of dog can be unpredictable.

Great people, I like my veterinarian. Reasonable with their diagnosis and recommendation for my dogs. Their prices are fair.

We (human parents and furry children) love Dr. Chappell!

All of the veterinarians here are wonderful! Always in the room in a timely manner but you never feel like they're rushed. They listen to all of your concerns and give you your options in a comprehensive and compassionate way.

Northwoods is an incredible veterinarian practice; I have been taking my babies here for over 10 years and do not trust anyone else. Whether it's for a simple nail trim, or a full annual exam, they are genuine in their passion for animal health. I highly recommend them!

Treated us like we had been patients for years. Very professional yet caring. Dr. Chappell explained all procedures in detail and gave recommendations but let us ultimately decide what to do without judgement. The techs and front office people were fantastic. Would highly recommend.

The people at Northwoods Animal Hospital have taken care of our cat for 13.5 years. They knew his peculiarities and accommodated them every time he was boarded with them. I am very happy with the support we received when Thomas became ill and was pleasantly surprised when we received a hand-written sympathy card from the vet after he had died. I highly recommend them.

Have been a client of Northwoods and Dr. Hudson's for over 25 years. They are caring, attentive, and thorough. I read through the negative reviews here, and while I feel it must in large part be a response to a heartbreaking loss, I can't agree with the assessment. The care and compassion that the doctors and staff have shown our pets through the years is unparalleled and exceeds my expectations at most every turn.

Great staff, all are very knowledgeable and nice. They've been taking good care of my pets for about 12 years or so now.

I started bring my dachshund to Dr Melissa after a terrible experience at another vet in Cary, The staff and of course Dr Melissa are wonderful. She was able to make the last years of my dog's life a happy healthy one. Even though she passed at almost 14 years I know she received the best care a pet could have. RIP Samantha 2001-2015

Wonderful care and great staff. We have been a client for more than nine years. This location is convenient to our home. Our two male dogs are small, a yorkipoo and maltese. They share a run when they stay over night which we think is better than having them in separate cages. Melissa and her father built a solid business with good people helping them.

stay away. Dr. Hudson misdiagnosed by bichon Crunch . Dr. Hudson neglected to advice emergency eye treatment and misdiagnosed an ear infection. My bichon had to be taken to NC state emergency vet hospital for a 5 night stay-because his corneal laceration was a medical emergency and she misdiagnosed it. She also took care of my cocker spaniel who passed away- she did not treat her urinary infection which resulted in renal failure . Stay away. My neighbors used her but left her and I stayed but realize now that was a major error on my part, my heart, my dogs health, and outstanding medical bills.
