I absolutely will not go anywhere else. The staff is amazing. There is very little wait time. The entire staff loves our pets. We drive 45 mins one way to VCA Apex just because of the way they make us feel.

I thought perhaps getting squeezed in for my dog's euthanasia would not be a huge issue. But sadly, it was rushed through like the vet had dinner reservations or a hot date. We kind of expected at least some sympathy but there was none. The shots came all within 1 minute basically, we had no time to really love, hold and pet on her before she was gone. Had I know it would be like that, I would have taken my dog elsewhere. It's been nothing short of heartbreaking to think back and know how we were treated at that most vulnerable time. I'm still in tears and it's been nearly 2 days.

Horrible reason, but it was handled with respect and reverence. We'd been there numerous other times greeted with nothing but professionalism.

They regularly take great care of our puppy girl and are easy to communicate with. Appreciate the way they make owners stay in their cars to reduce covid spread.

Dr. Reyes is the real MVP. We've been seeing him for about 3 years. He never seems to forget our pets, has great "bedside manor" and is always willing to give the education in addition to the treatment. Can't give enough thanks to him.

Our dog ate a bag of bubble gum! Got there 25 minutes before they were closing. Oh my gosh! What an awsome front desk staff. Two young ladies ,one man and Dr. Pordon. Everyone Super kind and very sympathetic to Laney and us. Telling us various stories about their pets. Reassuring us that Laney would be okay, we did the right thing, etc. Everyone gladly stayed late to take care of our pup! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I love the doctors here! But it is expensive expensive expensive. We pay four to five times compared to what we pay when we take our dogs to our other vet down at our lake house.

Appalled at the treatment we received. It seems our dog was diagnosed with a serious condition, prescribed medicine and basically good luck to us, without saying so much. Doctor prescribed medicine but didn’t even call it in until I called to ask about it. Sent our dog away after expressing glands without cleaning her backside. The smell was absolutely horrific. Doctor refused to call us back about a problem with our dog after us calling twice. I don’t understand the way we were treated; makes no sense when all we want to do is give our dog the best quality of life possible with the remaining time she has left. We like VCA, but I guess this location just wasn’t a good fit. I have to say my feelings are truly hurt by the actions of the staff/doctors.

I have confidence in these veterinarians as far as their clinical decision making goes, they were compassionate and willing to explore aggressive vs conservative routes, albeit expensive in comparison to other facilities I’ve been to in a time of initial medical crisis for one of my cats. Unfortunately, I have to rate them lower because they could not follow through with euthanizing my suffering pet because of their busy schedule despite having intimate knowledge of the acute clinical course my pet had been through in the recent week+. They lacked in being responsive to returning calls in an abrupt and urgent situation. I was directed to go anywhere else to get this done after having to call back myself. I’ve never had a primary veterinarian that follows my pets tell me to go somewhere else, or on any other given day if I had an end of life situation/suffering animal as long as they were open. To have to arrange for another clinician to see my suffering pet, transfer records, and pay more money for initial exams fees and tests, is inconvenient in many ways more than just financially and mentally to say the least. No apologies offered either. It speaks to me that there is strictly business alone being conducted here. I’ve had positive experiences at other VCA’s and understand they all operate independently, so I’m not against the VCA moniker. Our previous vet in our previous town would not have done this; I am confident of this. We won’t be returning to this location. UPDATE: Your response changed your rating from 2 stars to 1 star. Not because I am vindictive, but because you, Lori, earned it. I have respect for Dr. Carey and Dr. Peddy. They were kind and compassionate as I stated. All options were explored and a treatment plan was agreed upon by all parties. It was your business that failed me and Oliver. You weren’t there for any of it, so I don’t know how such suppositions can be made on your part. I will indeed email you with an exact timeline of events, as I kept record of it. The ultimate fact is, you did turn away an infirm animal, Oliver was euthanized at another clinic.

Really great experience every time I have to go. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and does their best to answer any questions I may have. Even during the pandemic and the restrictions imposed by that, be they have been very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be bringing my pets here for as long as I live nearby.

Dr. Peddy and dr. Reyes were both so amazing with my dog. The front desk knew who Baxter was when he walked in and they were so kind and compassionate after his passing. Thank you so much for your heartfelt condolences. We absolutely love the card and paw prints you sent and we will treasure them forever with the memories we have of bax. If/when I decide I’m ready to love on another dog, I’ll definitely be back.

I recentley decided to switch vets and although my baby ended up having 1 visit and was diagnosed with cancer our experience with them was good. I wish i had switched sooner and maybe he would still be with us. Kim Nesbitt

I called this place to ask about the cost of my kittens first round of vaccines. The lady picks up the phone and talks a million miles per second that I barely understood a word from her and then the last word was hold... so I assumed she asked me to hold so I just said ok. Turns out that’s what she said so I held for a little then she comes back asks me how she can help. I proceed to ask how much for the first round of vaccines is and so she proceeds to answer and halfway through her answer she asks me to hold again. . . Then says a crazy high amount. Like $200 something.
