We are enjoying our Sit Means Sit training although it is probably more accurate to call it a membership. You get lifelong support. Prior to employing Sit Means Sit we tried a variety of harnesses, collars, leash lengths, etc thinking a good fit would help us have better control over our puppy. Since Sit Means Sit we learned a level of control over our dog in our home, yard, trails, or anywhere that has nothing to do with the type of collar or leash. Most of our family took part in the training so we can be confident in our relationship with our dog. We look forward to years of obedience and continued support from Sit Means Sit.

I have a 2 year old Husky who I wanted to be trained off leash like a military dog. I did a consultation with Sit Means Sit and after reviewing the pros and cons decided to go for a 2 week board and train program. I worked directly with the trainer Sebastian. He was professional and was able to take my dog from an average dog to an above average dog. We worked on boundaries, recall, duration commands, heeling, and impulse control. After just 2 weeks of boarding, I received what seemed to be a new dog to me! My husky came back a newly well trained partner. Sit Means Sit conducted 3 individual classes after the training to walk me through everything they taught my dog and how I need to be working with her after I left the building. I also love that because I purchased the 2 week board and train program I now have LIFETIME FREE training classes every Tuesday. Not only am I able to practice what they taught my husky on my own, but I am able to continuously advance her obedience weekly. I am extremely impressed with Sit Means Sit and would recommend them to anyone who wants not just a well trained dog, but a partner. I hope that one day my husky will be as well trained as Sit Means Sit's mascot, Ripken The Bat Dog.

Sit Means Sit - Apex was great to work with. They explained the program and what to expect, including how much work would be required for us. We opted for a 10 day board and train program for our 1 year old Springer Spaniel and his manners and obedience are greatly improved. I would recommend Sit Means Sit - Apex to anyone who needs a trainer for their dog.

We are so pleased with Sit Means Sit. Our sweet 6 month old puppy really excelled with his training thanks to Kate and all of the amazing trainers who worked with him. He not only learned better manners, he is enjoying the extra freedom he has earned by being a better listener. His focus when given a command is night and day from before training and after. We cannot wait to see how he continues to gain confidence and continue to grow as we continue training with him. Thank you Sit Means Sit Apex! We appreciate you!!

My sweet puppy Zuri has truly learned so much at Sit Means Sit. As a first time dog mama it's great to have a support system here to help with all my questions and concerns.

Blue & I had a great first meeting with Michael to set up a training plan. We soon met with Sebastian, who would be our trainer for the next 3 sessions. Sebastian was always prompt and ready with a plan for our sessions, as well as knowledgeable and friendly. He held Blue to an age appropriate standard and helped me be consistent with my expectations in training. You can tell he loves what he does, loves dogs and wants to help in any way he can grow your relationship with your pup.

Sit Means Sit helped us adjust our family to our girl Leia. We used the three at home sessions and Leia responded well to each one. She is doing great with her continued training and we will definitely use Sit Means Sit for any further training. Highly recommend.

My dog Dolly completed the 15-day Board and Train when she was 9 months old and responded well to the trainers and the program. She learned all the basic commands and came home with much improved manners! One of the greatest things about Sit Means Sit is the ability to attend weekly training classes free of charge now. We attend whenever we can and Dolly continues to learn.

Sit Means Sit Apex exceeded all expectations. Each member of the staff was highly professional, knowledgeable, and totally dedicated to giving my dog the best possible training experience. He returned from the 10-day boarding & training program a completely new dog--responsive to my commands, eager to make eye contact to understand what I wanted him to do, and simply much more mature--no longer a puppy! Special kudos to Da'sheia, who bonded with Siro through the training and has given me expert guidance on followup visits, and to Michael O'Donnell, who runs the most professional, efficient, and empathetic dog-training program imaginable. Thank you, Sit Means Sit!

I can’t say enough good things about SMS Apex! I enrolled my 7 yo Border Collie, Tucker, in their Day Train program. Even after the 4 sessions, there was a noticeable difference in how my dog was listening to me and looking to me for guidance rather than making his own decisions. All of the trainers were very kind, professional and explained the exercises and commands thoroughly. I love that this program includes 1 year of group class so that my dog can continue to be socialized and build upon the skills he acquired during his first 2 weeks with SMS! 10/10 recommend to anyone, especially those with working dogs

Sebastian did a great job with my puppy Luca. He also answered our many questions to make sure we were set up for success to teach him from home. He was patient and kind and you can tell he is very knowledgeable with the training.

We have a 1-year-old GSP (Annie) who is a bit crazy. After her 15 day board and train, we are very pleased with how much she has learned. Sebastian made it easy for us to transition her training to “train as you live”. Every training session we had with him was great and full of tips and information. He made sure that we were comfortable with every training exercise. His passion for training is very evident and we are very grateful for his help.

I was very impressed with the instructor’s professionalism and focus on results. I’m a new dog owner. My puppy Finn is a mini golden doodle. He is very sweet, smart, energetic and a little scattered. The instructors were very patient and kind, both with me and Finn. Our personal instructor in particular provided very practical tips and guidance. I was very happy with the quality of the service provided by sit means sit.

We are so happy with our Sit Means Sit - Apex experience. The on-site training created a great foundation for Moe. The private lessons were personalized to his strengths and weaknesses and really helped us learn how to be successful with our pup out in the real world. The staff is great! From Meghan at the front office who answered all our questions to Sebastian who did our private lessons and showed true care for our pup, we knew we were in great hands.

I'm so happy we brought Tillie to Sit Means Sit. From the initial consultation to the last lesson, we were so impressed with their packages, pricing, and people. Sebastian worked with Tillie for all 3 of her lessons after the 2 week board and train program. He was patient and kind to both Tillie and myself. He took the time to explain to me why she would react a certain way or why my correction wasn't working. Overall, I'd recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone and everyone that is looking into training. They trained Tillie AND me. Now we're both happy and can walk without getting my arm yanked off!

Sit Means Sit Apex is an amazing dog training business! They know how to train both dogs and people to work well together! Sebastian was our trainer and he did an amazing job! We loved working with him and our dog, Luna, though he was great! We highly suggest him and the rest of the Sit Means Sit team for all your dog training needs!

Mia is an Australian cattle dog and lab mix that definitely has a mind of her own yet lacks confidence in new situations. We did the 21 day board and are continuing in the weekly group sessions and I can't say enough positive compliments to this team! Upon picking her up after the 21 days Sebastian altered the training we did that day to fit our needs to help with a successful transition to home. Since then Kate has been great in helping with our specific needs. You also can't forget the office team (Meaghan and others), they are always a phone call or email away and exceptionally helpful. I definitely recommend this team to help with any training needs.

Such an awesome training program! My dog now listens to me when I want him to, not when he feels like it!

I don't want to write this but I feel like its necessary. My dogs went on their 10 day training. We did know they were going to use shock collars as a training method. We personally thought the collars were just going to vibrate. When we got home, we tried them out and it was actual electricity going through. I couldn't hold it for at least five seconds AT LEVEL ONE! They swear it doesn't hurt our fur babies due to the fact of their thick coat and different nerve systems. I can tell you right now that dogs have similar characteristics to the human race. Plus, how do we know it doesn't hurt them? Something else I wanted to add was that both my dogs came back sick with Kennel cough. Although it's not a deathly condition, it feels awful hearing your babies wheezing. My dogs also came back with less weight. I completely understand that it could have been due to the fact that they were sad, lonely.. etc. But they never updated us if they ate well or not when they said they would. One of my babies came back with anxiety and she gets scared easily now. I definitely regret taking them here and its my fault because I put them in this position. Please please look at different methods of training. also, do lots of research.
