Peak City Puppy Apex, North Carolina

Started using Peak City when I was having long hours at work and didn't like our dog staying long hours inside without bathroom breaks. I had resisted this sort of thing in the past as I am nervous about having people we don't really know in our home without one if us present. Peak City's Christine came by one day when we were home to introduce us and meet our pet. Made me feel better and our dog (not usually the friendliest) took to her immediately. We've had several walks now and we are even talking about not boarding him any longer! Peak City has made us comfortable since the start and has really good follow up both from the walker and the admin side of the business. I highly recommend. This has improved our lives in a small but definitive way!

Leaving our two dogs when we travel is hard, but I know they receive the best care from Peak City Puppy! With excellent communication from start to finish Peak City made sure they knew & met all the needs of our pups and we were kept updated each day. It is such a relief to have such professional & caring sitters.

First arrangement was smooth. The second arrangement I gave my dates over the phone a month and half out. I was told I would receive a callback to run through the details and to confirm dates. I was then told I needed to connect with the sitter and meet her face to face before the trip which was no problem. We didn’t have time to do this during the first arrangement. After leaving two vm and sending in a couple emails, the next email chain consisted of confirming the dates I needed. These were already provided over the phone. Today I receive an email that states they are too busy and cannot take on the request. Now I have no time to find a dog sitter when I clearly reached out ample times and was led to believe I was good to go. The email stated they were holding off on telling me in hopes to get an available team member. If you cannot do business with someone, just say no ASAP! I literally have three days to find a sitter. We have no friends or family here because we are new from out of state. Our trip is non refundable. Needless to say I will not reach back out. Thanks for leaving us super stressed right before vacation! EDIT: Condition of the home? We have regular maid services that come here. I have no idea what this is in reference to. You had over a month to let us know you couldn't help us. We did simply leave a key on the first go around which you assured us was no problem. We had to leave town last minute due to a family emergency. :/ If we knew we would be punished for this route, we wouldn't have done it. Due to great reviews, it seemed like a professional business and we felt comfortable leaving a key. I have never experienced flat out lying with a company like this in the triangle area. It seems to me, the owner or management would have came out to inspect the home if there was concern. Which of course did not happen because there was no concern. We were happy to meet the team and use you continuously moving forward. Oh well. I guess we will go back on our search to find a sitter last minute since that is the situation you left us in.

Peak City Puppy bit off more than they can chew and will try to throw their lack of support on you. I was so excited to find Peak City when I moved to Raleigh. Especially after seeing all the great reviews. The owner Lesley, took the time to speak with me before I moved to the area where I specifically addressed what my potential needs would be. She assured me they were able to take on my business and were able to accommodate my work and vacation travel, not just for dog walking abut pet sitting. Cut to the meet and greet with the two potential dog walker/sitters. They said they didn't have a lot of support in the Raleigh area yet the owner did. They shared with me that all visits are TIMED, which was never shared. (I trust this may be normal and respect a business has to be run, but again it was not communicated up front) I was able to utilize their service for an overnight trip for both dog walking and pet visits. Bothy my cat and dog were happy and confident when I got home and I sighed a huge relief as it was my first time leaving my dog alone. Cut to a few weeks later, I scheduled (in advance) an upcoming trip. it was APPROVED. Note the options online are for dog walking and Pet visits (think feeding pet, letterbox clean, etc) I made a change and added an extra day visit and received an email from the owner basically shaming me for requesting services I never discussed and that they didn't have someone in Raleigh to support my needs. This was after it was approved and I had only added a day, still in advance. Again, I had previously discussed on several occasions with the owner and the meet and greet what potential services were needed for this and was ASSURED they could meet this. When I questioned the change in their story, especially after accepting my online request, the owner was responsive and owned she didn't handle this properly and is very prompt about getting my keys back to me. In addition she did offer to have someone available to sit for my pets on my upcoming trip which I respectfully declined after all the back and forth. Obviously there are people who have very positive experiences with Peak City and I write this so anyone reading can make an informed decision. I don't believe they are able to meet pet sitting needs and if you live outside of Apex/Cary don't be snowed that your needs will be taking care of. I also found it off putting that after only one visit I had received separate communications to review them and to nominate them for some Cary Diamond award. I would have been happy to if they had delivered on what was promised.

We have been using their service for rhe past month with daily walks for our senior dog. Everyone is great! Butters enjoys her time at home without the stress of daycare and as well get getting her energy out. Very impressed.

I can’t say enough positive things about our Peak City Puppy experience. They recently cared for our very stubborn Great Dane and did an excellent job. They are reliable and friendly and offer competitive and comparable prices. The quality of care and communication is excellent! Highly recommend for your fur babies - we will be repeat clients for sure!

Heather was our cat sitter and she was great! I got photos and a report each day. The company was easy to work with and I highly recommend.

I had never used an in home pet sitting service before, and was hesitant to do so. Peak City Puppy made everything very easy and I know my dog enjoyed being able to stay in her home environment. I would definitely use Peak City again.

I would definitely recommend Peak City Pups and our pet sitter, Jenny! Jenny took excellent care of our golden retriever, Corona! We received multiple texts and photos during our trip. We’re sure Corona loved having Jenny watch her! (pretty sure she didn’t want her to leave!)

Heather walks our 2 huskies 1-2 times a week. She is so reliable and sends updates when she arrives and when she leaves with photos. Our dogs look forward to their walks every week and love when they see Heather walk in the door.

We started using Peak City’s dog walking services in May and they are great!! My dog, Colt, loves his dog walker, Magda. She always keeps me updated and I look forward to the reports I get after a walk is completed. I know my dog is being well taken care of. I definitely recommend them to anyone!!

We worked with the team to arrange some last minute visits over a holiday trip and they were very professional and well organized. The sitter (Beth) was an excellent communicator and really kind to our animals. Having recently moved to the area, we feel happy to have found our forever sitters!!

I am very happy with Peak City's performance. Their office is organized. The service is easy to book. And they do an overall great job. Ray takes thoughtful loving care of my cat while I'm away. I feel good about leaving her in trusted hands. And he keeps me posted with progress notes and adorable photos. I feel grateful to have found an attentive cat sitter who I can trust.

I used Peak City Puppy for overnight care at the sitter’s house while on vacation. During her care, we received regular updates about how her stay was going and fun photos. It was clear at pick up that she had enjoyed her stay with the sitter and that she was well taken care of. Would highly recommend this service to others.

I signed up to have my 2 dogs walked daily while I recovered from surgery. Everything has been fantastic. It was very easy to get started and great communication daily about their walks with pictures. Our Walker that comes has been extremely reliable, I have not had to worry one bit. My dogs are super excited when she walks through the door. I highly recommend this service and will definitely use in the future!

When I am away, my cat loves her daily visits (including clean litter, fresh food & water) and lots of ear scratches. The daily photo and message updates from the sitter are a real bonus for me. My cat and her sitter have definately bonded. The office is responsive and the app makes communication, payments and scheduling very easy. I highly reccomend this company.

Thank you for providing excellent customer service from start to finish. Trish was wonderful, and we appreciated her updates when she “dog sat” our two labs for the weekend. When we returned home, both dogs were relaxed and happy to see us. Our days of kenneling are over, thanks to PCP.

PCP has been a lifesaver for me. We have brought home 2 puppies in the last 4 years and we needed someone reliable to walk our furry friends while we were at work. What we didn’t expect is that our walker, Nancy, would become such an invaluable part of our family. She loves our dogs like they are her own and even once offered to take our dog to the emergency vet after she got to our house and realized one of our pups wasn’t well. During the pandemic our need for a dog walking service hasn’t changed even though we are working from home (we don’t have enough time in our day to get them out on a decent walk). Nancy comes to get them from the yard so there is no contact. Our dogs get so excited when they hear her coming! I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about this business and the people who run it and work here.

I could not ask for better dog walker for my puppy. Mary and Nancy have been so kind and caring to my dog. They are great with communication and have been very accommodating. I heard about Peak City Puppy from my neighbor and I am glad I contacted them. They have given me peace of mind and I no longer have to worry about my fury baby during day. If you need help with your pets, reach out to them! they now use an App which is super easy to use. Every time Nancy visits him she keeps me posted via messaging. I love Peak City Puppy! My dog walker is great! She has been so understanding and patient with my very high anxiety dog, She is also very flexible with my frequently changing schedule. I never had a dog walker before, so this is new to me, and i couldn't be happier! Update approximately one year later: My dog is afraid of almost everyone. I can count three people that she allows near enough to scratch her head, and her walker is one of those. What a relief that is for me! Plus the admin folks are nice and efficient. It is all about the people when it comes to a dog walking business, and the people at Peak City Puppy have it right.

Peak City Puppy is the best! I have been using them since I got my puppy when she was 8 weeks old. At first I was so nervous about leaving my puppy alone, but after I met the sitters my mind was at peace. I knew I could trust them to take care of my new baby while I was at work. The walkers are the best and send text updates after each walk.

Heather from Peak City Puppy let my dogs out midday on week days when I had to be away from home for work for long periods of time. She did a great job letting them out and getting all 3 dogs back into their crates, including one dog who often hates strangers. She brought us a little notebook and left us a note every day about how the dogs did. There were also some days where she went out of her way to adapt to some strange circumstances, like my landlord having the roof redone and making sure the workers were out of the back yard and gates were closed before letting the dogs out. I had just moved here alone and Heather and Peak City Puppy were lifesavers!

We've used PCP for a little over a year and have been more than happy with the service overall. Administratively, getting set up as a customer is easy, which involves a sitter/walker or two to meet in your home for a meet and greet. Their website is intuitive for scheduling, and their administrative staff is great about rescheduling us on a recurring basis. The walkers/sitters we've used have all been great. We've left a short instruction paper for our dogs, and the sitters have always listened to our input. They often go above and beyond what normal sitters do, like playing with our boys, even if they're only scheduled for a 'potty visit'. You have a choice between having a journal or other communication, and we utilize both the journal and text messages with our sitters. We love all the pictures they send us of our boys :) We couldn't be happier with our past and current walkers! Staff is also understanding about certain conditions of dogs, and again, they often go out of their way to accommodate different situations with our dogs. They're also understanding and reasonable about cancellations and changing schedules. If you need to reach them, they're available by phone, e-mail, and text for a wide range of hours, and I believe a manager is even available by phone for emergencies late at night. If you're thinking about using a local pet-sitting or pet-walking company, PCP makes it easy and has really professional and courteous staff. I can't imagine going elsewhere for our dogs' needs!

Peak City Puppy is very easy to work with and you can count on them to take care of your dogs! We love Gabby and our dogs were very happy!
